Earlier in May 2025, Tookyo Games, DMM Games, Exnoa, and Spike Chunsoft teased a new game called Shuten Order, and now we know it will launch on September 5, 2025. The Steam page is live, and the full game will debut on the Switch and PC. A Digital Deluxe Edition will also appear with art book and soundtrack. 

The world is ending, and a Shuten Order cult appeared once people realized their fate. With 168 days left, the nation state Shuten founded by the group is plunged into chaos after the leader’s death. That’s where we come in, as we play as the revived head of the group now tasked with finding out who killed him in four days. This means going through five routes, each investigating a different minister in the group and playing differently to find the murderer. So the Ministry of Education is a dating sim, Ministry of Health is an escape room game like 999, Ministry of Justice is an adventure game like Ace Attorney, Ministry of Science is a visual novel, and Ministry of Security is described as “stealth action horror.” Beating all five is necessary to see the end.  

This means we’ll see two Tookyo Games in 2025. The other is The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, which featured input from Kazutaka Kodaka and Kotaro Uchikoshi. That appeared on the Switch and PC. 

Shuten Order will come to the Switch and PC on September 5, 2025.

EXNOA launched a new wave of Danganronpa crossover content for Oshiro Project: RE -Castle Defense-. It added a new personification modeled after Jabberwock Island, which first appeared in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. The Japanese-Egyptian voice actress Ai Fairouz provided the voiceover for this new character.

The new wave also added Mukuro Ikusaba as a new recruitable character. EXNOA also gives players another chance to obtain the Danganronpa series characters who have appeared previously until March 26, 2024. Here's a closer look at the Danganronpa Jabberwock Island character and Mukuro.

This is the third time Oshiro Project: RE -Castle Defense- features collaboration events with the Danganronpa series. The first event launched in November 2021, and it featured a personification of the Hope's Peak Academy with Rie Tanaka providing the voiceover. It also added female characters from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, such as Kyoko Kirigiri, Sayaka Maizono, Celestia Ludenberg, and Junko Enoshima. The second event in November 2022 added a Despair version of Hope's Peak Academy and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair characters like Chiaki Nanami and Hiyoko Saionji.

Oshiro Project: RE -Castle Defense- is a tower defense game featuring personifications of real-life castles. It is available on PCs in Japan via DMM Games. The Danganronpa crossover content is available to obtain until March 26, 2024.

Blue Reflection Sun will debut next week. According to DMM Games and Koei Tecmo, the release date of Blue Reflection Sun is set for February 21, 2023. A pre-registration campaign is ongoing, and has ed the 300,000 pre-registrant milestone. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

To commemorate the release date confirmation, DMM Games ed a special promo video featuring Blue Reflection Sun characters. The video is set to the song "Clockworks" by performers syudou and Mafumafu.

Developed as a collaboration between DMM, Koei Tecmo and artist Mel Kishida, Blue Reflection Sun (also known as Blue Reflection Sun/San) is related to the Blue Reflection console and PC RPG series. The story follows the students of Hinomori Academy, who survived the advent of "Ash," a mysterious phenomenon that caused diseases in the populace and triggered the appearance of monsters called "Testa". Ash also prompted the emergence of special powers in certain people, such as heroine Shiho Kasuga. Shiho and other "Eroded" humans manifest their special powers and fight against the Testa to secure a future for humanity. Unlike other games in the Blue Reflection series, upon release, Blue Reflection Sun will feature a male protagonist, in the form of the player character.

As the ongoing pre-registration campaign has ed the 300,000- milestone, all players of Blue Reflection Sun on release will receive 3,000 "Wish Stones", 3 UR-rarity Flag Cards, Skip Tickets, and a selection of character enhancement materials.

Blue Reflection Sun will go live in Japan on February 21, 2023. It will be available on the Japanese iOS and Google Play stores. International release plans have not yet been detailed. Other games in the Blue Reflection series are available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC.

A new anime in the Tenchi Muyo! franchise is in production. More specifically, it's related to Tenchi Muyo GXP, according to the announcement from media company EXNOA. (EXNOA also helped produce Blue Reflection Ray.) The title is Tenchi Muyo GXP - Paradise Begins (Paradise Shidou-hen). It will be produced, in part, to celebrate the franchise's 30th Anniversary. [Thanks, Famitsu!].

At the moment details on the new anime adaptation are scarce, but creator Masaki Kajishima drew the teaser below.

The series is being produced through EXNOA's anime brand Kinematics, with Kajishima credited as a Supervising Director. The screenplays will be provided by Hideki Shirane, who worked on the original Tenchi Muyo GXP, Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar, and the 4th and 5th seasons of the Tenchi Muyo anime.

For those unfamiliar, Tenchi Muyo GXP is a spin-off of the original Tenchi Muyo! series. (That is known as Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki in Japan.) Chronologically, its story runs in parallel to the original, but features a new cast, rather than the group led by protagonist Tenchi Masaki. GXP instead stars Japanese student Seina Yamada, who is almost killed by a spacecraft that crashes behind the Masaki residence. He meets the spaceship's pilot, Amane Kaunaq, who gives him an application form. Mistaking the form for a contest entry, Seina's forced by his family to fill it out, only to realize that it was an application to the Galaxy Police.

The series aired in Japan in 2002 and followed Seina, Amane, and their companions as they struggle to carry out missions for the Galaxy Police. Tenchi Muyo GXP - Paradise Begins will pick up several years after GXP, with Seina grown up and assigned on a new mission to return to Earth.

Tenchi Muyo GXP - Paradise Begins is in production and does not yet have a release window.
