Nissin has ed a new collaborative Cup Noodle commercial video which features the Japanese meme based on El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. In this new trailer, Lucifel questions Enoch's choice of his Cup Noodle-branded gear.

The meme originated when a promotional trailer for the El Shaddai game appeared at E3 2010. Enoch's insistence on his original armor and his concession after the reset became a timeless classic in the Japanese gaming community.

Nissin launched this commercial to promote four special-flavored Tokujo Cup Noodle packages. Each of them is themed after the Matsutake mushroom, Seafood, Curry, and Chili Tomato.

The company not only worked with Crim to apply Cup Noodle branding to Enoch's armors in the El Shaddai trailer. It even employed Lucifel's Japanese voice actor Ryota Takeuchi to record new quotes for the commercial, including parody lines that replaced the word "equipment" with "Cup Noodle."

Nissin has been holding collaborations between Cup Noodles and many Japanese game franchises. The most well-known one was the Final Fantasy XV crossover in 2016. In recent years, Nissin has also collaborated with the mobile game Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku in 2022 and the Pokemon franchise in 2023.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron was originally released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. Crim has released remastered ports for the game on PC via Steam in 2021 and Nintendo Switch in 2024.

Edwin announced that the El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron collaboration jeans will return in 2024. The brand has also opened online pre-orders for the jeans exclusively on the Edwin Mall website.

The promotional notes mentioned that these jeans were made in 360,000 BC, but the items were first spotted in the real world in 2011 AD. The collaboration will make its return to help celebrate the release of the game's Nintendo Switch version on April 28, 2024.

The Revival Second Editions will retain the designs from the original models with improved labels and materials at ¥23,100 (~$147). Edwin will also release new Great War Editions that omit details like the Cinch Belt and the Suspender Button. The new jeans will also cost less at ¥19,800 (~$126).

Each purchase will come with a leather tag that features the same illustration as the jeans' patch. The brand will also add a storybook as another bonus. El Shaddai's creator Sawaki Takeyasu made all of the illustrations in this collaboration.

Edwin will close the pre-order window for the El Shaddai jeans on June 3, 2024. The brand will ship the finished products in mid-October 2024. Crim will also let people try the jeans at Crimmore in West Shinjuku on April 26-29, 2024, and May 1-6, 2024.

Crim's Sawaki Takeyasu announced the release date for the Nintendo Switch version of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. The new port will be available on April 28, 2024.

The Switch port will have HD Remaster on its subtitle, as it will be a direct port from the 2021 PC version. The developers declared that the Switch version will have Full HD resolution and 60fps frame rate just like the PC release.

All copies of the Switch version—including digital releases—will come with an art book and the "Lucifer's Fall - Chronicles of Ceta" novel. Rainy Frog will publish the physical copies. Crim is also preparing limited Dramatic Edition packages that add a drama sound CD telling the fall of Lucifer and its script book with brand-new illustrations. A set of six postcards will also be available exclusively from the company's web store.

Pre-orders for the regular and limited physical releases will open in Japan on December 21, 2023. Crim is also working to open digital pre-orders on January 11, 2024, as the date January 11 also contains a reference to "Ichiban ii" in one of Enoch's famous quotes, "I'll take the best you have."

Sawaki Takeyasu, the creator of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, is currently looking for a programmer who can help him port the recently released PC version of the game to the Nintendo Switch. He stated his desire to hire a programmer in his own Twitter .

Sawaki Takeyasu has confirmed the release date for the PC version of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. It will be available simultaneously worldwide on September 1, 2021, at 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET.

Takeyasu also ed a new trailer detailing the PC release. El Shaddai will have a discounted price of $32.39 for the first two weeks after its release. Afterward, it will have a regular price tag of $39.99.

The Steam page will also have the game's digital artbook and soundtrack available for purchase as DLC. They will be priced at $13.99 and $24.99, respectively. A Deluxe Pack containing all aforementioned content will be available at $78.97, but it will be on sale for $39.25 for the first two weeks.
