WayForward remade Capcom's NES classic with all new graphics, a new level in the beginning of the game, and added Scrooge McDuck's Money Bin which you can swim in.
Capcom say that full game s of both new and older titles have been strong. For the first nine months of the ongoing fiscal year, full game s have more than doubled, growing from 1.5 million the previous year to 3.6 million this year.
DuckTales Remastered is currently available as a title for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U. Soon, however, it will also be available at retail in North America.
DuckTales Remastered represents the best of what the original DuckTales game could have been, while maintaining the simplicity that made the game special in the first place.
"As you go through the Money Bin you find out the Beagle Boys took all of your money. Big Time, the leader of the Beagle Boys, you fight him. Then you find out why Scrooge is going after all these treasures, but I won't spoil that," said producer Rey Jimenez.
Capcom brought a new build of Ducktales Remastered to Comic-Con with the Himalayas level which started different from the NES games. WayForward added a little backstory that explained what Uncle Scrooge was doing there in the first place.
