Square Enix announced that service for Dragon Quest X Online on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will end on March 20, 2024. However, more is coming for the MMO. A new version 7.0 expansion is coming. The expansion is titled Dragon Quest X Online: The Door to the Future and the Sleeping Girl, and more information about it will appear after the plot of version 6.0 wraps up. The expansion is set to release in 2024.

Square Enix decided to terminate services for both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game due to difficulties in continuing to them. Additionally, Nintendo discontinued the hardware for both platforms, and other online services for both platforms have ceased service as well. It will regularly provide new information, and update the schedule until end of service for both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of Dragon Quest X Online.

Dragon Quest X Online originally launched on 2012 for the Wii. The game later launched for the Wii U on March 30, 2013. The 3DS version followed that on September 4, 2014, and it runs using cloud technology. Online service for the Wii version ended back in 2017.

Dragon Quest X Online is available only in Japan for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Service for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions will end on March 20, 2024. The new Dragon Quest X Online expansion updating the game to 7.0 will appear on 2024.

Square Enix announced that the Dragon Quest X themed tarot card deck will be available for purchase again on July 15, 2023. The deck includes 22 cards of the Major Arcana of the tarot. The card deck is designed after the cards that appear in Dragon Quest X as part of the Fortune Teller vocation. Each card is based on iconic monster designs from the entire franchise. The card set comes with a able code for two items for the online version of the MMORPG.

One of the Dragon Quest X Online weapons designed by Bleach manga artist Tite Kubo will return to the game. The one-handed sword Spalt Edge is one of the three collaboration weapons designed by Kubo released in 2015 for DQX Online, and it will make a reappearance soon. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

The weapons were originally available through codes included in the August 2015 issue of the V Jump magazine, as well as the DQX Online third anniversary fan book. The other two Spalt weapons are the two/handed Spalt Blade and the Spalt Claws knuckle weapon.

The Spalt weapons were originally made available as part of several collaboration events in 2015. The Spalt Blade appeared in Dragon Quest X Online on July 2015, while the Spalt Edge appeared on August, and the Spalt Claws on October of the same year.

Bleach author Tite Kubo also collaborated by drawing an illustration for the Dragon Quest X Online third anniversary fan book, depicting three of the Ogre species wielding the Spalt weapons.

Dragon Quest X Online is available only in Japan for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Windows PC, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and mobile devices. The game originally launched on 2012 for the Wii, but online service for the Wii version terminated on 2017. Meanwhile, Dragon Quest X Offline released for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC in Japan on September 15, 2022, and the game will receive an expansion in May 2023.

Square Enix announced that the Dragon Quest X Offline expansion, The Sleeping Hero and the Guiding Ally, will release on May 26, 2023. According to Square Enix, The Sleeping Hero and the Guiding Ally expansion will be similar in size to the main game. It will also feature an original episode not found in Dragon Quest X Online, as well as introduce exclusive battle content. Players must complete the main story of Dragon Quest X Offline in order to access the contents of the expansion.

The original Dragon Quest X, an MMORPG, was released in early August 2012. In an interview with Famitsu, Square Enix workers hinted that something new may appear for Dragon Quest X in 2023. Judging from the comments, it seems that Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy will be Square Enix’s main focus. Developers for games outside of those two stated that they will focus on development. This is likely due to how many games came out from Square Enix in 2022. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

For starters, new games outside of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest that are planned will not appear next year. Tomoya Asano and Ryutarou Ichimura both stated that after the rush of games in 2022, 2023 will likely be a year of preparation and development. Ichimura added that they might be able to publicize some unannounced titles next year. However, he did not give a definitive statement.

For reference, Asano planned and produced Bravely Default, Octopath Traveler, and Triangle Strategy. Ichimura is the chief producer of the Dragon Quest series. Meanwhile, Takashi Anzai and Takuma Shiraishi both stated that they want to try something new. Since both of them are working on Dragon Quest X, that is likely what Square Enix wants to focus on for now.

2023 will likely be the year of new content for Dragon Quest X, though time will tell if the comments in this interview are accurate. Dragon Quest X is available on the Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and mobile devices. The offline version is on the PS4, PS5, Switch, and Windows PC.

The Dragon Quest X Offline PS4, PS5, and PC demo is live now in Japan. While the Steam product page is region-locked, people PlayStation Store s can access the trial outside the country. As with other Square Enix demos, like the one for Harvestella, people’s save data from the Dragon Quest X Offline trial can be carried over to the full game. It starts at the very beginning, with the player living a peaceful life with their sibling. After Nelgel attacks, the two of you are separated. The player then gets the opportunity to be a hero after their soul is placed into an entirely new body.

There's no worldwide release announcement for Dragon Quest X Offline yet or English version confirmed. It is based on the Japan-exclusive MMORPG that debuted on the Wii in 2012, before eventually also heading to other platforms like the 3DS, Switch, Wii U, PS4, PC, and mobile devices. This take on the adventure involves chibi forms of characters, as well as a new episode and new characters like Garmy and Fifi.

We finally have a Dragon Quest X Offline release date for Japan. Square Enix confirmed that version of the game will come to the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC on September 15, 2022. It also confirmed its The Sleeping Hero and the Guiding Ally Offline expansion will show up in Spring 2023. [Thanks, Gematsu and Game Watch!]

This news comes after multiple delays. Initially, Square Enix said the Dragon Quest X Offline release date would be February 26, 2022. However, that was pushed back in December 2021. At the time, Producer Takuma Shiraishi cited quality concerns. Shiraishi noted a desire for the offline version of the game to appear in “perfect condition.”

At the time, the new release window was Summer 2022. Given that the season ends on September 22, 2022, it will just be making the cut-off.

In Japan, Dragon Quest X Offline will appear both digitally and physically. The deluxe edition of the game will include the The Sleeping Hero and the Guiding Ally Offline with it, as well as some other items.

The new Dragon Quest X Offline release date is September 15, 2022. It will show up on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC in Japan. There's no word regarding a worldwide release for it yet.

Square Enix revealed the names and biographies of characters appearing in Version 6 of Dragon Quest X Online. Ashley, Leone, and Daphia are characters who went on an adventure several thousand years prior, with Ashley and Leone being twin brothers. They will appear in the new version of the game, which will come out in Fall 2022. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

Though the three are not completely new to the lore of Dragon Quest X, Version 6 will be when they make their physical appearances. Ashley (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) is a hero who defeated the Great Demon King Goda along with his twin brother Leone (Nobuhiko Okamoto). Between the two, Leone is the calmer one. As for Daphia (Reina Ueda), she fought alongside the two in their final battle against Goda. While Ashley's and Leone's biographies are available on the Dragon Quest X website, Daphia's is absent.

Previous characters Matsuoka has voiced include Xiao from Genshin Impact and Kirito from Sword Art Online. As for Okamoto, he has played characters such as Accelerator from A Certain Magical Index and Bakugou in My Hero Academia. Finally, other roles Ueda has played are Kanao from Demon Slayer and Ganyu from Genshin Impact.

Dragon Quest X is an online MMORPG version of Dragon Quest. However, an offline version is in development. It originally had a release window of February 2022, but Square Enix delayed it until sometime in Summer 2022. This was due to how much content was in the game, as well as producer Shiraishi wanting the final version of Dragon Quest X Offline to be perfect.

Ashley, Leone, and Daphia will appear in Dragon Quest X Online Version 6, which will come out in Fall 2022. Dragon Quest X is available on Wii U, Windows PC, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

The offline adaptation of Dragon Quest X has been delayed to Summer 2022. Offline was scheduled to release on February 26, 2022. However, due to the volume of content available in the game, Square Enix is pushing its release date back. Additionally, a more finite release date for Offline will appear sometime in the future. Additionally, Producer Takuma Shiraishi released a statement, detailing the delay. Again, the primary reason for the Dragon Quest X Offline delay is due to the wealth of content available for Dragon Quest X. He would like to release the game in "perfect condition." However, in order to achieve this, the team would need to change the release date for the offline version. Shiraishi has also stated that postponing the release date would improve its general quality of the release.

In May 2021, during the Dragon Quest 35th anniversary live stream, Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest X would receive an offline version. Slight visual changes will appear in this version of the game. This includes changes made to character models.

The offline version of Dragon Quest X will arrive sometime in Summer 2022. Release platforms include PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC.

People won't just have the Starlight Celebration to participate in during December 2021 in Final Fantasy XI. A crossover is returning this month too. Square Enix revealed the Dragon Quest X FFXI event will come back. Things will kick off on December 21, 2021.

So with this event, Horro and the slimes are heading the Vana’diel. The problem is that the normal slimes are fine, but the metal slimes and she-slimes invaded without permission. People will need to talk to Bastok Market’s Sludge in E-10, Sauthern San d’Oria’s Slaring in K-9, and Windurst Woods’ Ultra Slime in H-11. After you start, you can get prepared to catch slimes by visiting East Ronfaure in G-6, East Sarutabaruta in G-11, and South Gustaberg in J-7.

You get Slime Coins for every slime you catch. Here’s a list of the items you can get.

• 1 Slime Coin: Metal Slime Candy, She-slime Candy, Slime Candy, or Slime Rocket.
• 5 Slime Coins: Slime Earring.
• 10 Slime Coins: Slime Fetish or Slime Shield.
• 15 Slime Coins: Slime Cap (also one unlisted, mystery item).
• 20 Slime Coins: An unlisted, mystery item.
• 30 Slime Coins: An unlisted, mystery item



Final Fantasy XI is available for the PC. The FFXI Dragon Quest X event will run December 21, 2021 through January 17, 2022.

Square Enix announced a concrete release date for the offline version of Dragon Quest X, which is available only in Japan. During the same stream, Square Enix also announced Version 6 for the online game. The offline version will come out on February 26, 2022 as both physical and digital versions. The suggested retail price is 8,580 JPY (~$79).

During the promotional video, we get to see the basic premise of the story and some of the main characters who will appear. After Nelgel attacks the protagonist’s village, they are sent to a shrine and their soul is put inside a different body. You can get a look at Maille (Aya Endo), F (Nobunaga Shimazaki), Fuura (Haruka Shiraishi), Dasuton (Kentaro Ito), and Prince Laguas (Tomoyo Kurosawa) in the PV, as well as how the game will look offline.

While people who do not wish to play an MMORPG will finally get the chance to enjoy the story of Dragon Quest X with this offline version, there is no concrete confirmation as of yet on if this game will appear in regions outside of Japan. In other Dragon Quest X news, the game will have a collaboration with Final Fantasy XIV. From October 19, 2021 to November 11, 2021, players will be able to earn iconic items from the Dragon Quest series. This is a re-run of an event from January 2014, and it had another recent re-run in July 2020.

Dragon Quest is coming back to FFXIV, as the Letter from the Producer Live LXVI revealed the return of the Dragon Quest X event. On October 19, 2021, people will be able to earn cosmetic items inspired by Square Enix’s other JRPG series to wear in-game.

Here’s the tweet showing the event will be back in the game. It also included two screenshots that confirmed some of the returning items. In the image, the three major items from the July 2020 rerun of the event appear. People will be able to earn a King Slime Crown. This gives the character a hat that makes it look like a Dragon Quest King Slime is perched on their head. There will also be a Thug Mask. Multiple people wear it in the featured image. Finally, you will be able to acquire a Wind-Up Brickman Minion. This is inspired by the classic Golem monster featured in multiple Dragon Quest games.

During the Dragon Quest series 35th anniversary live stream, Square Enix revealed Dragon Quest X Offline. The game will let players enjoy the tenth mainline game without the need for a network connection, albeit with a slightly different presentation. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The original Dragon Quest X online game's known art style features characters with normal body proportions. This is where the new offline version will have its biggest difference. It will instead feature the characters with chibi proportions. It's worth noting that the announcement of an offline version does not mean the original online game is ending soon.

While Dragon Quest X Offline was one of the many titles revealed at the anniversary stream, this game was only announced for release in Japan. The titles that have been confirmed for a worldwide release are Dragon Quest Treasures, an HD-2D remake of Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation, and the newest numbered mainline title Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate.

Square Enix also revealed a new sixth version to Dragon Quest X Online. It will be available in Fall 2021 with the subtitle Heroes of the Heavenly Stars. The company is looking very eager to celebrate the online game's 10th anniversary in Summer 2022.

Square Enix will release Dragon Quest X Offline in 2022 in Japan. It has yet to announce platforms for this title. As a reference, the original Dragon Quest X online game is currently available for PC, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, Switch, and PlayStation 4. Although it originated on Nintendo Wii in 2012, Square Enix pulled the plug on the legacy platform in 2017.

The Dragon Quest X Demon Knight can equip various weapons, including swords, knives, greatswords, scythes, and shields. Demon Knights can power themselves up by covering themselves in the "Veil of Darkness." This is possible thanks to the job's "Demonic Wave."

The bottom-left meter indicates your "Demonic Wave" that fills up when taking damage from an enemy. Once the meter fills up all the way, it is ready to go.

You can buff yourself using "Veil of Darkness" to land a powerful strike.

Here's a "Darkness Multi-hit" dark elemental attack.

The super-useful "Disruptive Wave" skill that nullifies all stat changes will be available for the Demon Knight to learn. This is actually the debut of the series recurring skill.

"Dark Matter" is a ranged skill that surrounds the Demon Knight. It also has an additional effect of lowering the enemy's resistance to dark element, making it a powerful tool for the job.

We still don't have Dragon Quest X in the West, but Final Fantasy XIV players can get a taste with a rerun of the Breaking Brick Mountains collaboration event starting July 2, 2020.

This was one of the earlier collaboration events to appear in Final Fantasy XIV, going far back as January 2014. With recent revamp done for the earlier parts of the game, many adventurers will get to check it out for the first time and score some limited goods. The story of the event starts with a bunch of Golems from the Dragon Quest series appearing out of nowhere. Since the Eorzeans have never seen such creatures, the player gets hired to assess their potential for profit and a little something-something.

Players can start the Dragon Quest X x Final Fantasy XIV collaboration event by speaking with Havak Alvak of the Mythril Eye (X:12.1 Y:8.2 in Ul'dah - Steps of Nald).

The event items include the 'Thug's Mask', a 'Wind-Up Brickman' Golem Minion, and a King Slime Crown that jiggles on your head when equipped.
