Bandai Namco announced its Banpresto line will soon include a Dragon Ball Super ultra-long Shenron plush. It will be 80cm long, which is over two and a half feet. It will show up in crane games in Japan starting on December 25, 2024, and a post on the official site in English notes it is “coming soon.”

The official listing in Japan showed two photos of the Dragon Ball Super plush Shenron. Each one shows it from a single perspective and side. The main body is one long piece, with legs sown onto the sides. There are also decorative accents such as the fringe around his neck, his whiskers, and the spikes along his spine. There are no other items alongside it to offer context for the size of the plush.

While we’ll see this plush in Japan very soon, it will be a while until we see more of the Dragon Ball Super manga. The series’ hiatus ended up being extended again. It is now expected to return in March 2025. The last chapter released was 103, and that debuted in March 2024. 

However, in the meantime there will be a special release of the original 42 volumes of Dragon Ball. A Dragon Ball Super Gallery was announced at Jump Festa 2025. It will feature alternate covers drawn by other famous mangaka. 

The Dragon Ball Super ultra-long Shenron plush will appear in Japanese crane games starting on December 25, 2024, and we may see it worldwide. Viz handles the manga releases outside of Japan, while the anime adaptation is streaming on Crunchyroll.

The Dragon Ball Super manga will reportedly have its previously announced hiatus extended. According to leaker ryokutya2089, a new chapter was originally slated to release on the March 2025 issue of the V-Jump magazine on January 2025 before the hiatus got extended. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

The Dragon Ball Super manga has been on an indefinite hiatus since the release of chapter 103 on March 20, 2024. At the time of its announcement, the manga’s break was said to be unrelated to original Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama’s ing on March 1, 2024.

Artist Toyotaro has been in charge of drawing the art for the Dragon Ball Super manga, while original series creator Akira Toriyama was behind the writing for the series from it's inception in June 2015 until his death.

While Dragon Ball Super won’t be returning to the March 2025 issue of the V-Jump magazine, Atlus announced that the popular RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio will be adapted into a manga series, and its first chapter is expected to appear on that very issue of the monthly manga magazine.

I cannot state more how much I love Krillin. He may not be the strongest warrior of all time, he may not be as important as the story gets universal in Dragon Ball Super, but he's always had a tremendous heart. His friendship with Goku from the earliest days was always funny and sweet and we cannot deny how good his outfits were all throughout the Dragon Ball series to date. -- John

Across all Dragon Ball series and arcs, Gohan will always be my guy. He was a role model growing up, seeing so much of myself in him as a kid myself watching the series. I even saw similarities in our personalities in how we care more about studying and learning than fighting or training. We are both a little nerdy and awkward. A new Dragon Ball Super manga series by author Toyotaro will reportedly appear on the December 2024 issue of the V Jump magazine, which will release in November 2024. As a reminder, Dragon Ball Super is currently on an indefinite hiatus. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

It seems like the new work will be a one-shot based on the Dragon Ball: Super Divers arcade card game. However, at the time of writing there are no confirmed details about the plot of the one-shot. Leaker ryokutya2089 also hypothesized about the possibility that the Dragon Ball Super manga could be fully suspended or declared as completed.

The Dragon Ball Super series originally went on an indefinite hiatus back on March 20, 2024, shortly after the ing of creator Akira Toriyama on March 1, 2024. However, it was also reported that the hiatus was unrelated to the author’s death.

Furthermore, the new Dragon Ball Daima anime series is set to premiere in Japan on October 11, 2024. Toei Animation recently shared the voice actors for some of the new characters revealed in the anime's latest trailer.

On Goku Day 2024, May 9th, the Official Dragon Ball Site held a poll, asking fans to vote on what they thought their favorite one of Goku's many battles, from Dragon Ball through Dragon Ball Super, was. The votes have been tallied and the top 100 out of the countless battles Goku has fought have been revealed.

The top 10 fights got their own special Dragon Ball Weekly Update video, where Victory Uchida, the editor for Dragon Ball Super, and Toyotarou, Dragon Ball Super's lead illustrator discussed the list and what their favorite fights were. Toyotarou's was the final battle with Kid Buu at the end of the original run of Dragon Ball Z.

The criteria for the list were, according to the original Dragon Ball site, the following:

• Verbal sparring and rock-paper-scissors count
• As long as Goku enters the contest with the spirit of battle, battles against inorganic foes also count! However, rocks and such whose destruction is merely a casualty of another fight do not count!
• The start of a fight until the fighting stops counts as one battle. Characters who Goku fights more than once are included in the lineup as many times as they fought Goku!

The top ten battles according to the fan vote are as follows:

Some notable entries that cracked the top 50 included Goku firing a Kamehameha at Yamcha's Car from the original Dragon Ball, the first duel with Piccolo, Goku and Vegeta kart racing against one another in Dragon Ball Super, and Goku catching the Giant Fish, the first fight he ever had in Dragon Ball.

With this year being the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball and after the ing of series creator Akira Toriyama, fans all over the world have been expressing their fondness for the creator and his seminal work, Dragon Ball, including his co-workers.

A second Dragon Ball Super collaboration is coming to PUBG Mobile starting on June 7, 2024, then ending on August 1, 2024. The event will bring new skins to the game, which can be obtained from the in-game store.

Krafton hasn’t detailed which Dragon Ball Super characters will be added to the game as part of the new event. However, a recent teaser trailer featured Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and the adult version of Son Gohan. Additionally, a recently revealed key art for the event referred to one of the new characters as “that finest scientist,” hinting to Bulma being one of the new characters featured. More information about the event will appear once it goes live on June 7, 2024.

The first Dragon Ball Super event appeared in PUBG Mobile on July 13, 2023, and it featured the aforementioned characters, as well as the villain Frieza. The event was originally announced on September 2022, to celebrate the release of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie. PUBG Mobile has received various anime collaboration, with the most recent being a Spy x Family event appearing in April 2024.

PUBG Mobile is readily available on mobile devices, with the second Dragon Ball Super collaboration event appearing between June 7, 2024 and August 1, 2024.

Instead of only being able to look like Goku, you can also buy shirts with Korin or Frieza on them.

As for the prizes, the baby shirts cost 990 JPY ($6.50) and the onesie costs 1490 JPY ($9.75).  As for the adults, the t-shirts cost 990 JPY as well. However, if the normal sizes are a bit too small for you, you can get a larger size for 1090 JPY ($7.15). Shimamura does not directly offer international shipping. So if you want to purchase these specific pieces of clothing, you’ll need to use a proxy service of some kind.

Future Saga Chapter 1 is the next Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC, and it turns out it also means the playable debut of Dragon Ball Super versions of Android 18 and Videl. They will Super Saiyan Rose Ultra Supervillain Goku Black and Super Saiyan God Ultra Supervillain Vegeta. 

Both of these versions of Android 18 and Videl wear outfits and use moves they’d perform in Dragon Ball Super. Bandai Namco went over them at the Dragon Ball official site. So Android 18 will be able to use Kikoha and Steel Mirage as Super Attacks. She also wears her Tournament of Power outfit. The two Videl Super Attacks present with this version of the character are Burning Swan and Seagull Combination. She’ll perform them while wearing the outfit she had on at Bulma’s birthday party during that series. Both of the heroines will also be featured some of the 12 Parallel Quests in the add-on.

In addition, players will be able to dress up as this version of Videl. Her outfit and hairstyle will be added as cosmetics. Bandai Namco shared screenshots of how those will look with us:

As for things to come, we know that the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will both appear on May 24, 2024. After that, the official roap from the end of March 2024 noted three empty blocks with question marks in the “future” section, suggesting we could see more Future Saga chapters or additional add-ons.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available for the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will debut on May 24, 2024. There’s no release date for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Future Saga Chapter 1 and its Android 18 and Videl DLC just yet.

As reported by leaker ryokutya2089, it seems like this hiatus won’t limit to the Dragon Ball Super manga, and instead the V Jump magazine where the series is published will go on a temporary hiatus. The latest Dragon Ball Super manga chapters have served as a sort of epilogue to the adaptation of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero anime movie, and concluded on the last issue.

The Dragon Ball Super manga started serialization on June 20, 2015, and was penned by the late Akira Toriyama and drawn by artist Toyotaro. Meanwhile, the Super anime series aired in Japan between July 2015 and March 2018. The series received two movies Dragon Ball Super: Broly on December 2018, and Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero on June 2022.

A new anime series titled Dragon Ball Daima is set to release in Japan sometime during the Fall 2024 season, and it will follow the cast of the series after being turned to children and stripped of most of their powers.

Crunchyroll announced that it now offers the English dub of the Dragon Ball Super anime. It will begin streaming on the service on March 5, 2024 in five countries.

Right now, the range of the dub is limited. People in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United States can all begin watching it today. It also noted this applies to the 131 episodes currently available on the service. As of time of writing, only the English, Brazilian Portuguese, and Latin American Spanish subtitle options with original Japanese audio were available, as the dub will only debut at 1pm PT/4pm ET. 

Crunchyroll’s announcement also reminded people of the English voice actors in the Dragon Ball Super dub. Here’s who you can hear:

There’s also another Dragon Ball anime on the way, though no English dub is confirmed for it just yet. Dragon Ball Daima is in development. Its run will start in Fall 2024.

Originally announced in 2022, The PUBG Mobile and Dragon Ball Super crossover event will finally land as part of the game's 2.7 update. Arriving on July 13, 2023, the update will bring new game modes, character skins, items, and vehicles, as well as an anime-themed map. More news from the partnership is due to be revealed on August 11, 2023.

The first of two new game modes is the Dragon Ball Super themed mode, which tasks players with collecting Dragon Balls hidden around PUBG maps in order to gain powerful buffs by summoning Shenron. The second mode is called Battle Royal: Dragon Ball Super mode and will allow players to take control of one of five classic Dragon Ball characters. Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza and Ultimate Gohan will be available. Each character has their own abilities, and we can upgrade them by collecting Spirit Crystals while using several new traversal options like Teleport points and Updraft. On July 14, 2023, several special outfits and items will become available in the PUBG Mobile store, including outfits based on Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Pilaf and Karin.

Player Unkown's Battlegrounds has previously held collaborations with both Gackt and Evangelion, resulting in special themed cosmetics like plug suits and EVA-inspired armor for player characters to wear. The Dragon Ball franchise also recently had several movies added to Crunchyroll's library Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and Uniqlo had a special series of Dragon Ball themed shirts launch back in May.

PUBG Mobile is immediately available on mobile devices, with the Dragon Ball Super event launching with update 2.7 on July 13, 2023.

We now know where to watch Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, as Crunchyroll announced it will be the streaming home for the movie. It will debut on the service on July 12, 2023. It didn’t note if this release will be limited to specific countries. However, it did confirm that this will include both the Japanese version with subtitles and the English dub. There’s also a new trailer to go with the announcement. Physical copies of the film appeared back in March 2023.

The Red Ribbon Army has returned as the New Red Ribbon Army with Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. However, there are those willing to stand in their way. Gohan and Piccolo will face off against these “super heroes” to again save the day.

Crunchyroll announced that is adding 15 Dragon Ball movies to its service in June and July 2023. Things started off with seven that debuted on June 22, 2023. Eight more will running up until July 6, 2023. The newest one in the lot is Dragon Ball Super: Broly.

Both Dragon Ball Super: Broly and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F will be available dubbed and subbed in English, French, and Spanish.

Gohan and Piccolo from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero are the latest characters to come to Fortnite. Epic Games just revealed the crossover. However, while these two skins are new to 23.30, there are also returning activities and items too. If people missed it before, they can now visit Dragon Ball Adventure Island for activities. People can also once again get the Kamehameha attack and Nimbus Cloud (Kintoun) vehicle from the first event during Battle Royale and Zero Build until 23.40. The past Dragon Ball outfits will also eventually return too.

As expected, people will need to buy the Gohan and Piccolo Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero stuff from the Fortnite shop to use them. The Hogan outfit lets you use its Gohan’s Charging Up Emote to become a Super Saiyan. You can also select that style separately. People also get the Gohan Cape Back Bling with the outfit. People can pick up a Capsule No. 576 Glider or Gohan’s Beast Axe Pickaxe to go with the ensemble. As for Piccolo, its Piccolo’s Charging Up Emote changes to the Power Awakening version, though that style is also an option to choose. His outfit includes the Piccolo’s Cape and Turban Back Bling and Demon Symbol Back Bling. You can also get a Handheld House Pickaxe or Red Ribbon Army Aircraft Glider. If people get a bundle, they also get a loading screen with the two together.

Dragon Ball Adventure Island remains a place inspired by the anime and manga series. Tenkaichi Budokai is the PVP arena there. People can also visit more peaceful spaces like Goku’s House and the Room of Spirit & Time. It is at 5642-8525-5429. There is also a Orange Piccolo Spray that can be earned via a Weekly Quest starting January 31, 2023. The Gohan Beast Spray will be a Weekly Quest reward as of February 7, 2023.

Fortnite is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and mobile devices, and the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero crossover with Gohan and Piccolo is now live.

The Dragon Ball Super Super Hero arc kicked off on December 21, 2022, and the English localization is already available. People can start reading it via both MangaPlus and Viz Media. People can also still read the last two chapters of the Granolah the Survivor Saga arc at the moment. (Those are chapters 86 and 87.)

Dragon Ball Super chapter 88 begins with four color pages. While it begins with Goku and Vegeta after the last battle, it then shifts to Saiyaman X-1 (Trunks) and Saiyaman X-2 (Goten) appearing to stop a robbery. After “cleaning up” the scene, we get to see the two dealing with daily life and their families while still trying to pursue their dreams of being super heroes.

The official Dragon Ball Twitter is also celebrating the debut of the new Dragon Ball Super arc. People can get Goten and Trunks icons to use. Their new designs are highlighted in the images.

The Dragon Ball Super manga is available to read on MangaPlus and Viz Media, and the next chapter in the Super Hero arc will appear in English on January 19, 2023. The physical volumes are being released by Viz Media. The Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Blu-ray and DVD will appear in March 2023.
