Bandai Namco announced a launch date for the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC pack based on the Daima anime adaptation. It will show up on May 22, 2025. A trailer also debuted to show what to expect from both of them.

The video began by showing the characters based on Daima ones that are part of the add-on. These are Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta. The two then fight each other, offering a look at their movesets. After that, we get to see the new loading screens included in the pack based on the anime. Avatar costumes based on both of them, as well as characters like Glorio and Panzy, are a part of it. Parallel Quest and Skills based on the series show up too. 

A Time Patrol Pack will debut on May 22, 2025 too, but Bandai Namco didn’t say what will be in it.

This isn’t the only Dragon Ball Daima DLC to show up in the next few weeks. The first promised Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot add-on is coming soon too. That debuts in July 2025. A second one will conclude that story in the adventure later in 2025.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available for the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Daima Pack DLC debuts on May 22, 2025. The Dragon Ball Daima anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.

Bandai Namco shared a release date for the first Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC based on the Daima anime. The first part of Adventure Through the Demon Realm will launch on July 17, 2025. This applies to every platform. There’s also a first video showing what to expect from it. 

Here’s the full Adventure Through the Demon Realm Part 1 trailer. It begins with Goku (Mini) going Super Saiyan and fighting Glorio. After that, we see a story segment that shows Goku (Mini), Glorio, Panzy, and Shin dropping out of the sky. We then see Shin and Glorio in front of Minotaurus, one of the early characters they encounter in the Third Demon World. There is also some gameplay footage showing Goku (Mini) in the new area, wandering around alongside locals, and dealing with some encounters.

The end of that trailer introduced the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Daima Edition. That gives someone a copy of the game and parts 1-2 of Adventure Through the Demon Realm. That will only be available digitally.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the first part of the Dragon Ball Daima DLC debuts on July 17, 2025. The newest anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.

Bandai Namco announced that the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Dragon Ball Daima Character Pack 1 DLC, which includes eight characters, is now available in early access. If you own the $34.99 season for the game, you’ve got the characters from the new anime adaptation now. The full launch is April 24, 2025.

This announcement means we now know everything in the add-on as well. There’s a costume for Goku (Mini). If you had the pre-order pack, this can be equipped to have him go Super Saiyan and use Aura Impact. If you didn’t, it shows as a ninth character in the select screen. As for the other additions, this brings one new form of Goku and four new versions of Vegeta.

As a reminder, the season for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero consists of three add-ons. The first involves 11 Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero characters, costumes, and bonus battles. The second and third ones both are tied to Dragon Ball Daima. The last add-on is expected to launch between July and September 2025. 

Since the Dragon Ball Daima anime debuted, appearances also ended up confirmed for multiple games. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot also got add-ons tied to it.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, and the Daima first DLC is available now in early access and officially on April 24, 2025.

During the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero The Dramatic Showdown Grand Finals on March 16, 2025, Bandai Namco shared a trailer looking at the Daima anime DLC characters that will come to the game. In addition to Son Goku (Mini), who appeared in the pre-order pack for the game, we get to see Vegeta (Mini) and Glorio. There are also Super Saiyan forms of Goku (Mini) and Vegeta (Mini) in it. That add-on will debut in April 2025.

The video begins with Vegeta (Mini) appearing to fight in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. He brings up how mad he is about being trapped in a child’s body as he fights a foe. He then goes Super Saiyan, showing how that version of himself would fight in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. From there, the fight shifts to Glorio. He’s one of the original characters who debuted in the Dragon Ball Daima anime. It seems his moveset will include his energy whip attack. From there, we get to see Goku (Mini) go Super Saiyan. However, his appearance is only a brief teaser, so there’s no clue as to what his moveset will look like.

This is the second DLC pack to appear for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, not counting the pre-order bonus. The first was a Hero of Justice pack. That added 11 different characters to the game. Among them were four versions of Gohan, four versions of Piccolo, Gamma 1, Gamma 2, and Cell Max. It also included a Superhero costume for Piccolo. 

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X and PC, and the Dragon Ball Daima Goku, Vegeta, and Glorio DLC characters will debut in April 2025. The Dragon Ball Daima anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.

There’s an update on the next pieces of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC, and it offered release windows for Part 1 and 2 of Daima Adventure Through the Demon Realm Pack. These are the add-ons based on the new anime adaptation. We should see the first piece of this new two-part addition show up in Summer 2025, as it has a launch window that spans July 2025 through September 2025. It costs $34.99 to get both parts, and someone can buy them now for a pack bonus.

The official Steam page offered a few details about the add-ons, though it didn’t get into finer details about the story. Each part will adapt the anime for the game, allowing us to follow Goku as he and his friends up with Glorio and Panzy to fight back against Gomah and restore themselves to their rightful ages. 

Here’s the official release schedule for each of the parts:

• February 26, 2025: Pack Bonus with Awakening Water, Mega Sacred Water, Purple Dino Horn, and Ultimate Meat Feast. 
• Between July 2025 and September 2025: Part 1 debuts.
• Between January 2026 and March 2026: Part 2 Debuts.

Bandai Namco announced that the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025 is canceled due to the fires in Los Angeles, California. There is no new date set for the events planned to happen during the events. It was originally going to be held at the Shrine Auditorium between January 18-19, 2025. 

In the statement regarding the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025 cancellation, the Bandai Namco cited the decision as a safety measure due to the Los Angeles fires. It noted a desire to ensure everyone stayed safe, while also offering consideration to those affected by the disaster.

Here’s the full message shared on social media. 

As usual, the event was going to provide a chance for the company to make announcements about video game and TCGs based on the Dragon Ball series, as well as hold finals tournaments for other titles. As a result, the Dragon Ball FighterZ, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World, and Dragon Ball Super Card Game Masters tournaments will be rescheduled and held at a different time. The event was also going to include promotional opportunities, such as a booth promoting the new Dragon Ball Daima anime running on Crunchyroll and a chance to take on a Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle challenge.

Bandai Namco isn’t the only company changing plans as a result of the fires in Los Angeles. Square Enix also halted automatic housing demolition in Final Fantasy XIV. This was only done on North American Data Centers’ worlds, out of consideration for victims of the fire who would be unable to play due to evacuations or other tragedies related to the fires. 

There’s no word yet on when the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025 events will be held now that it is canceled. Dragon Ball FighterZ can be found on the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is available on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Consumers can now pre-order a Dragon Ball Daima Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta SH Figuarts from the Bandai website. The figure will cost $60 and is expected to release sometime in October 2025. The Bandai website also states that pre-order could end at an unexpected date, if pre-order exceed the amount of the Vegeta SH Figuarts available.

Alongside several faceplate and other accessories, including a plethora of hand parts, it will also include Galick Gun effect parts. This specific Figurearts features a "chibi" version of Vegeta. In July 2024, Bandai Namco announced the production of Dragon Ball Daima figures of Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo. The announcement included several pictures of the figures for each of the respective characters. The pictures showed that several faceplates would be available for each figure, and a cloth cape would be included with Piccolo.

Pre-orders for the Dragon Ball Daima Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta SH Figuarts are open. The figure is expected to ship sometime in 2025.

We’re going to learn a lot more about new and existing Dragon Ball games once 2025 begins, as Bandai Namco announced the next Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025 event and showcase will be held on January 18-19, 2025. The two-day event will be held physically at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, with announcements, events, and tournaments, and there will be streams on YouTube for those who can’t be there in-person to watch. Ticket registration will be on Eventbrite. 

There will be booths and tournaments for multiple existing games and series. For example, the Dragon Ball Daima anime will have one that will feature new merchandise based on the series. The Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero booth will include a Producer Custom Battle Challenge, demo (with a lanyard giveaway), and tournament. If you stop by the Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle booth, you can take part in a Dokkan Ultimate Speed Battle and get a keychain. The Dragon Ball FighterZ Last Chance Qualifier and World Tour Finals tournament will be at that booth. Dragon Ball Legends’ booth will feature a PvP Corner and Guess the Winner points competition for prizes. As for the TCGs, you can also watch or take part in the Dragon Ball Super Card Game Masters North American Finals and World Championship and Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World Grand Finals. 

There will also be a drawstring bag giveaway. People who get a Limited Ticket will get one of those. Only 7,000 will be available. However, if you are going to take part in one of the tournaments at the two-day event, you will automatically be guaranteed one of those. A small picture of it appears on the official site.

Back in November 2024, the Dragon Ball Daima English dub debuted in theaters, and now we have a release date for when we’ll get to start streaming it on Crunchyroll. The episodes will first start rolling out on January 10, 2025. 

The English dub won’t be available everywhere. It’s only confirmed for five places so far. If you are in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the United States, you’ll be able to start watching on January 10, 2025. Also, even though the first three episodes were in English during the initial debut, only episode one will appear that day. Subsequent episodes will roll out each week after that. 

The announcement also means the reveal of more English voice actors for the Dragon Ball Daima dub. Back at NYCC 2024, Crunchyroll revealed Stephanie Nadolny plays Goku (Mini) and Glorio is voiced by Aaron Dismuke. Now the full English cast was revealed. Here’s the list Crunchyroll shared:

It could be how strong the person is, their design, personality, or even story arc. Regardless, these are our favorites. I cannot state more how much I love Krillin. He may not be the strongest warrior of all time, he may not be as important as the story gets universal in Dragon Ball Super, but he's always had a tremendous heart. His friendship with Goku from the earliest days was always funny and sweet and we cannot deny how good his outfits were all throughout the Dragon Ball series to date. -- John

Across all Dragon Ball series and arcs, Gohan will always be my guy. He was a role model growing up, seeing so much of myself in him as a kid myself watching the series. I even saw similarities in our personalities in how we care more about studying and learning than fighting or training. We are both a little nerdy and awkward. Uniqlo has revealed a new lineup of shirts inspired by the original Dragon Ball and its latest entry Dragon Ball Daima that will appear worldwide in 2025. The brand will gradually sell these products in numerous countries, starting in Japan in January 2025.

There will be a total of ten shirt designs available. Uniqlo will further split the designs into three different categories.

The first ones will be adult unisex sweatshirts priced at ¥2,990 (~$19.85) each. These are unisex items that can be worn by anyone. Here's how they will look:

The following Dragon Ball designs will be intended for adult unisex shirts that cost ¥1,500 (~$9.95) apiece:

The last three will be designs for kids' T-shirts with the lowest price tag of ¥990 (~$6.57):

As with prior crossover shirts like Monster Hunter and One Piece, the adult shirts will be available in sizes from XS to 4XL. However, Uniqlo's physical outlets will mostly only stock shirt sizes from S to XL. People who are interested in getting the super small or large sizes will have the best chance to order the shirts online via Uniqlo's web store.

The new Dragon Ball and Daima Uniqlo shirts will be available first in Japan in early January 2025.

As part of the Dragon Ball Daima New York Comic Con 2024 reveals, Toei Animation revealed two English voice actors and 12 more Japanese ones for the anime. There are also two new videos showing the opening and ending credits and theme songs without any text.

The two English voice actors for Dragon Ball Daima are the ones for main characters Goku (Mini) and Glorio. Stephanie Nadolny will return to play Goku. In the past, she’s been tasked with playing him and Gohan in appearances when they were babies, kids, or teenagers. Glorio is voiced by Aaron Dismuke, who most recently played Masachika Kuze in Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian and Elan Ceres in Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. 

As for the Japanese voice actors for Dragon Ball Daima, here are all the other confirmed cast :

There are no release dates yet, but we’ll see characters and elements from the anime appear in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

Dragon Ball Daima is streaming on Crunchyroll, and the English dub of the anime will debut in US and Canadian theaters on November 10-12, 2024.

Bandai Namco announced during the 2024 New York Comic Con Dragon Ball Daima anime that DLC involving its characters and story will be in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. In each case, no exact dates were set for the add-ons, but there are trailers for each one showing them off. 

In the case of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Goku (Mini) is already part of the cast as the first DLC. As such, the additional Dragon Ball Daima add-ons will be Vegeta (Mini) and Glorio. Those will appear after Gamma 1 and Gamma 2.

In the case of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the Dragon Ball Daima DLC comes up during Future Saga Chapter 2. We already know that pack would involve Belmod, Champa, and Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku. Goku (Mini) will also be playable, and he’ll be a part of a free trial.

Finally, the Dragon Ball Daima related addition to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be Adventure Through the Demon Realm Part 1 DLC. Once again, this means we’ll spend time with Goku (Mini). It also means visiting the Demon Realm.

Crunchyroll and Bandai Namco announced that the Dragon Ball Daima English dub will appear in movie theaters. People will be able to watch the first three episodes for the first time at select locations in Canada and the United States between November 10-12, 2024. 

Tickets for the event are being sold through Fathom. It seems showings begin at about 2pm local time on November 10, 2024. The last showings seem to be around 7pm local time on November 12, 2024, while tickets seem to cost around $15-16 per person. Times and prices will vary depending on the showing and location, however.

People who attend the Dragon Ball Daima English dub showings in movie theaters will get to see the first three episodes of the new anime adaptation. Currently, only the first one is available to stream online via Crunchyroll. That is only available via a subtitled version at the moment and lasts 32 minutes. The full Fathom event lasts for 74 minutes, and a part of that will feature a brief introduction from Masako Nozawa. Nozawa has played Goku in Japan since 1986.

By the time this English dub premiere for Dragon Ball Daima appears in movie theaters, five episodes of the show will be available with subtitles on Crunchyroll. The second episode is expected to air worldwide on October 18, 2024, and additional ones appear every Friday during the Fall 2024 anime season.

Best Crunchyroll Fall 2024 Anime Series: Blue Lock Season 2 5i654f

Blue Lock is officially the series that turned me from a sports anime hater to a lover. The soccer drama and action is impeccable, led by some of the finest animation in the medium. Plus, its almost battle royale-like last-man-standing format works so well. The heights are even greater in Season 2, as the scale grows to a global level.

The return of Dragon Ball is here but in quite the bizarre fashion. Instead of continuing Super, Dragon Ball Daima features the return of young Goku and the rest of the cast, as they are shrunk down amidst a new conspiracy. As the final entry in the series to be worked on by the late, great Akira Toriyama, this is a must-watch for fans of the long-running franchise.

This is the new action series everyone is going to be talking about in the very near future. If you want to be up-to-date with the latest anime trends, this is the new series to watch. It features two leads, Momo and Okarun, who believe in ghosts and aliens, respectively. It details the powers they gain as they investigate and fight against various supernatural and extraterrestrial threats.

It is no secret that the return of Re:Zero is a rough one. The opening feature-length premiere episode is a bit too long but it sets up a fascinating new location and story arc for Subaru and the gang. The twists, fantasy action, and countless deaths and revives of Subaru is worth a look for existing fans.

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II 4s275o

The original Gun Gale Online might be a spin-off, but it is arguably the second-best season of Sword Art Online after Season 3. It takes the most engaging video game from the series, GGO, and makes it less about the stakes and more about the characters. It has a fantastic cast, too, with the likes of lead character Llenn. GGO almost feels like the anime version of Fortnite and the second season is also well worth a look.
