Priroll revealed new Valentine's Day cakes and macarons based on Nippon Ichi Software's Disgaea series and its characters. The company has also opened orders on its website throughout January and February 2025.

The lineup has a particular focus on the following four titles: Disgaea D2, Disgaea 4, Disgaea 5, and Disgaea 6. There will be cakes themed after each title priced at 4,968 yen (~$31.80) apiece. Priroll is also selling a set of six macarons adorned with female characters from each title at 2,592 yen (~$16.60).

The sweets will also have additional customization options. Priroll lets people choose the cakes' layers between whipped cream or choco cream, with the middle layer containing strawberries or yellow peaches. As for the macarons, people can choose whether to pack the strawberry flavor with chocolate or orange and pistachio.

In addition, every purchase will come with a pin badge featuring the same illustrations used on the sweets. Although Priroll can only ship the orders inside Japan, it will use Yamato Transport's cool delivery boxes to deliver the sweets across the country.

The Disgaea series Valentine's Day cakes and macarons are available to order via Priroll until February 28, 2025. People can purchase the sweets with a discount if they place the orders by January 21, 2025.

There are now Android and Apple iOS versions of Disgaea 4 available as NIS’ latest two ports of the 2011 strategy game. It costs $32.99 on both the App Store and Google Play. Both versions of the game add Auto-Battle and High-Speed Battle options to Disgaea 4.

The two new modes can be used simultaneously in Disgaea 4’s Android and iOS versions. Auto-Battle, as the name suggests, lets Disgaea 4 fight its battles for you. You can set this for the story and Item World stages. This can be done both while the app is open and in-use, or in the background. The High-Speed Battle option lets you start at 1x speed, but also go up to 8x speed. This can also be used with Auto-Battle to level-grind when not at the game.

Two other features are available with these versions of Disgaea 4. If someone owns a PS4 controller, there is partial for it. The product page says some menus aren’t ed, which would mean relying on touchscreen controls to navigate them. There is also cloud save so people can play on multiple mobile devices.

Disgaea 4 first appeared on the PS3 back in 2011. It tells the story of Valvatorez, a vampire who vowed to stop drinking blood as part of a promise to a human woman, and ended up as a Hades prison guard as a result. Following an order to wipe out the Prinnies under his care before he could fulfill a promise to them, Valvatorez and his allies rise up to fight back against the Corrupternment. Three years after its launch, it showed up on the Vita. PS4 and Switch versions followed in 2019. The most recent Disgaea 4 port is the PC one, which is one of the “complete” versions with all content included.

NIS America is considering some restocks for the NIS America Online Store, and it asked potential buyers to weigh on. The company opened a brief survey asking what people might like to see. It will then reveal any possible changes as a result of in Fall 2021. Five games total are among the possible returning candidates.

The NIS America Online Store survey is rather brief, with only six questions asked. Most of them have to do with the special editions of the listed games. It is gauging the interest in the following titles. In each case, the Nintendo Switch and PS4 versions are listed as separate entries.

• Danganronpa Trilogy with art book (PS4)
• Disgaea 4 Complete+ A Promise of Sardines Edition (PS4 and Switch)
• Langrisser I & II Standard Edition (PS4 and Switch)
• Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen Origins Edition (PS4)
• Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Standard Edition (PS4 and Switch)

Subsequent questions asked which game of the five a survey taker wanted most and how likely they would be to purchase it. It also asked if extra digital or physical bonuses would make someone more likely to buy. The company also asked if people preferred digital or physical bonuses with their games in general.

NIS America didn’t note how long its Online Store restock survey will be online. The results will come up in Fall 2021.

Disgaea 4 is available on PCs, but the ultimate edition initially skipped the platform and headed straight for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 instead. Now, NIS America confirmed Disgaea 4 Complete+ Steam and Xbox Game releases are coming in Fall 2020. Then, after launch, network features will be added to the PC version of the game.

The additional features were detailed in a NIS America blog post that went over the seven additions that will come to the PC version of the game after launch. Exact release windows aren’t offered for most of them, though the Disgaea 4 Complete+ Map Editor won’t appear until the beginning of 2021.

Map Editor: s can arrange terrain, characters, and objects to create their own original, unique maps. The ability to their maps and play other s’ creations will be available early 2021.

Pirates: s can combine ship parts and arrange characters to create an original pirate ship and crew, then their pirates to fight other players. Additionally, ed pirates can also show up in the Item World to either attack or the player that encounters them!

Foreign and Defense Ministers: s can appoint a “Foreign Minister” to appear in other players’ Dark Assemblies to sway the voting process, and summon another ’s  “Defense Minister” to help them in battle.

Netherbattle Tournament: s can their characters to four classes and challenge unique online stages by creating a battle party with other players’ characters.

Everybody’s Netherworld Records: Players can their data to contribute to 12 stat categories that compile everybody’s total progress.

Pirate Trial: s can engage in trials with their Pirates and their results for ranking and receive rewards the following week depending on their ranking.

Ranking Battle: s can engage in a themed battle (themes are rotated weekly) and their score to the ranking boards. Ranking Points (RP) will be awarded according to the ’s ranking, which they can exchange for items at the Ranking Shop.

Disgaea 4 Complete+ has its western release dates. It will appear first in North America and Europe on October 29, 2019. (That’s the same day Atelier Ryza will be released in North America.) Then, on November 5, 2019, it will arrive in Oceania.

Until July 11, 2019, people can vote for which alternative cover design they would like to see with the final release. Disgaea 4 is coming back again. NIS America has just announced Disgaea 4 Complete Plus for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 via Twitter. In Fall 2019, people will be able to get the ultimate version of the game.

As expected from the title, DIsgaea 4 Complete Plus will give people the full experience. That means the main game and DLC that will add additional playable characters like Adell or Ash, additional modes like All-Star Demon Battle Mode, new pirate ship parts. Supposedly, other new functions and additions will appear too.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia has a solid lineup of PlayStation Plus games for Japan this December. In addition to early access to the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn trial and a Danganronpa 1 & 2 Reload demo, there are games like Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Edition for PlayStation 3 on the list.

Disgaea 4 for PlayStation 3 is on the list and it's the Japan-only version that was bundled with the Fuka and Desco chapters. Disgaea 4 is not a cross buy game, but SCEJA also has the Vita version available as a PlayStation Plus free play title too. Nippon Ichi Software CEO Sohei Niikawa recently told Dengeki Online that the scenario of Disgaea 5 is currently in its preparation stage. Although the game is only in the early stages, he intends for it to sur the first Disgaea.

This comes after the results of a survey by Dengeki in which fans voted for their favorite NIS games, excluding ports. The top 15 games are:

Niikawa stated that he will use these results as a reference, and if he was to make a Disgaea 4 D2, he would hope sures the original Disgaea 4.

Also, Niikawa added that he is happy that the Hayarigami horror mystery series still has a strong fanbase (the first Hayarigami ranked #16).

Along with that series, he will consider turning standalone games in the top 15 into series, Niikawa said.

Nippon Ichi Software have established a new studio in Osaka in addition to their existing headquarters in Japan’s Gifu Prefecture, the company has announced.

The new studio will open on October 1st (tomorrow), and NIS say that an effort to secure a large amount of human resources, including mid-career recruitment, is planned for the new studio.

Additionally, NIS' announcement indicates that the Osaka studio will get to work on its own independent projects, in addition to collaborations with their main headquarters.

Udon have announced an official Disgaea art book, titled DISGAEArt!!! Disgaea Official Illustration Collection. The book contains Takehito Harada’s art work from all four main Disgaea games, including game covers, promotional and concept art, book covers, soundtrack art and other art pieces as well.

The Disgaea art book’s retail price is listed by Udon as $40, but Amazon are offering it for $26.57. It will be released around late July/early August.

Nippon Ichi is releasing a disc full of Disgaea 4 artwork in Japan. The digital materials collection has over 500 pieces ranging from illustrations to storyboard artwork. Artwork from the Fuka and Desco chapters and a digital calendar are also on the disc.

The Disgaea 4 digital materials collection will be available in Japan on April 13 for 3,990 yen ($49).

Disgaea 4 has two additional stories, which will be released as able content. The Flashback Episode, a storyline about Valvatorez and Fenrich that takes place before the events in Disgaea 4, will be available for $5.99 on March 13. NIS America will also release two additional guest characters Pram from Makai Kingdom and NISA from Hyperdimension Neptunia plus Makai map tiles and the Kingdom Tank pirate ship.

Another wave of DLC will come in April with a Medic and Necromancer guest characters, Overlord's Castle Map tiles and the Fish Strong! pirate ship. The Fuka & Desco Show, a four part scenario similar to the Raspberyl chapters, will come out on May 8 for $19.99. Phantom Brave guests Ash and Marona will be available too along with Phantom Isle map tiles and a Bottle Ship.

Instead of Zeus' lightning bolt, Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten will have the deadly Dengeki lightning bolt.

Dengeki PlayStation will include codes to two special weapons – the Dengeki spear and Dengeki staff. Nippon Ichi also collaborated with Sony Computer Entertainment to make Toro weapons (pictured), which have not bee announced overseas. We may not get these items because after all, we missed out on the Toro DLC from Disgaea 3.
