The gridless building chemistry allows for creativity and stress-free construction. It's a delightful and calming experience that stands out amidst more intense offerings.

If you have a Japan region Nintendo 3DS you can try Monster Hunter 3G right now. Capcom put a 1354 block demo of the game on Nintendo's eShop. It's free, but has a 30 play limit and each gameplay session ends after 20 minutes.

The Monster Hunter 3G demo is in a new demo section on the eShop. This folder also has demos for Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary, Cooking Mama 4, Shin Chan: Universe de Achoo!, Nicola Editor: Stylish Model Audition 2, The 3D Illustrated Encyclopedia of Flora and Fauna, and Dead or Alive Dimensions.

Just for comparison sake, I also ed the Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary demo, which also has a 30 play limit. It's also one-tenth the size of Monster Hunter 3G clocking in at 131 blocks.

Atlus is preparing a comprehensive demo for Catherine. Their first HD console game has a blend of event scenes and action-puzzle parts where you help Vincent climb a tower.

The able demo covers the game's opening with event movies, animated movies, and action scenes.

The demo will be available on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on January 27. Heads up if you're planning to get the demo from Xbox Live, only Xbox Live Gold can the Catherine demo at launch. Everyone can the Catherine demo on February 3.

Catherine comes out in Japan on February 17.

Xseed announced more formal plans for Half-Minute Hero (aka Yuusha 30 in Japan). The PSP game will be in stores this October. Marvelous' creative game puts you in the unique position of saving the world in thirty seconds.

Hero mode is like a micro RPG where you randomly fight enemies by dashing into them, level up, and offer money to the Goddess of Time to rewind time. Princess mode is a shooter where you blast through mammoths and slide on the Goddess of Time's lane to restore time. There are four modes and you'll be able to try one of them today when a demo arrives on the PlayStation Store. Xseed plans to release another demo, but haven't announced a release date for it.

Try the demo if you're even a tiny bit curious. Out of all the quirky games I've played this year, Half-Minute Hero is one of my favorites.

Late last night Microsoft put a demo of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Before you the 1 GB file forget all the jumping you did in the Nintendo 64 Banjo-Kazooie games. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is about building vehicles and using them in challenges to earn jigsaw pieces. While the vehicle building feature is neat my favorite part of the demo, which I believe was the E3 demo too, is the writing. Rare did a fantastic job with the script.

If you have a Japanese PSN handy get ready to use it for the second time this week. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan just put a demo up for Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or2 on the Japanese PlayStation Store. The sequel to last years dungeon simulator adds new heroes to kill and this time they carry save points to respawn at. While the demo is in Japanese the Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida games are fairly import friendly. Just dig holes and look for colored rocks to populate your lair with slimes and other monsters.
