Suntory announced that characters from Shueisha and Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer will appear on the labels of drinks like Pepsi and CC Lemon in Japan. Things start in the middle of June 2025 and an official site is open, though the crossover campaign and full reveal of additional items comes on June 16, 2025. 

Here’s an official photo from social media that showed some of the Demon Slayer Suntory labels on products like Pepsi, CC Lemon, Dekavita C, Natchan, and Pop Melon Soda. In each case, it looks like there are two variants per drink. One type of label shows a hero, such a member of the main party or Hashira, while the other features a notable demon. The Pop Melon Soda examples show Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and the demon Gyokko on them. The first Pepsi Big Zero labels show Tanjiro Kamado and Muzan Kibutsuji on them. On the front of the Pepsi Lemon Big Zero are Zenitsu Agatsuma and the demon Daki. The first two CC Lemon bottles show Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui and Gyutaro, and the second two show Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku and Akaza. Dekavita C bottles in the example feature Inosuke Hashibira and Enmu. Finally, the Natchan bottles shown had Nezuko Kamado and Rui.

These are only confirmed for Japan. However, if you have an Asian grocery story near you, there is always a chance that the CC Lemon, Natchan, or other Suntory products imported will be the ones that feature those crossover labels and designs. For example, I saw the CC Lemon bottles with Splatoon 3 labels at a local Japanese grocery story after their September 2024 launch in Japan.

Crunchyroll announced the US, Canadian, and worldwide release dates for when we’ll see the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie in theaters. In North America, it’ll debut on September 12, 2025. However, it could show up as early as August 2025, depending on where someone lives. The Demon Slayer anime episodes leading up to the events of this film are streaming on Crunchyroll and Netflix now. 

This film is the first part of a trilogy that will start to bring us to the end of the Demon Slayer story. As the title suggests, Tanjiro, his allies, and the remaining Hashira head toward the eventual final showdown against Muzan. This means heading to the Infinity Castle where he resides. The release date trailer for the film helps set the stage for things, and it’s available now.

Before that movie shows up, we’ll see a new game based on the series. Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is on the way to the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. It will be there on August 5, 2025, though if you pre-order the special edition you can access it early.

A special event to announce the release date of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc will take place on March 1, 2025 at 7:00 PM. There will also a special event, the Corps Assembly, leading up to this announcement.

The Corps Assembly feature the voice actors of Tanjiro (Natsuki Hanae), Nezuko (Akari Kito), Zenitsu (Hiro Shimono), and Inosuke (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka). It’ll take place in Ikebukuro, with details on the precise location to appear later. During the event, there’ll be a parade, as well as a wanko soba eating event. After watching a pre-recorded video of Shimono and Matsuoka trying to eat 1000 cups between each other, eighty guests can also try to finish it all. Afterwards, there’ll be a quiz, then a free live stream of some of the voice actors’ favorite episodes.

For the 7:00 PM announcement, the cast for the Hashira will appear to help Hanae reveal the release date of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc. Then, at the very end, Hanae will play the prologue of The Hinokami Chronicles 2. Hanae actually has a YouTube channel where he s Let’s Plays, and has played several Demon Slayer games in the past.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is nearing the end of its legendary anime run from Ufotable. To celebrate the conclusion of the series, the grand finale will be a three-part movie trilogy. While this sounds epic, there is part of me that wishes the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie trilogy was just a new season of the anime series.

For starters, there is the fact that this franchise has already dabbled in movies in the past, including the highest-grossing Japanese movie of all time in Mugen Train. So, from a financial perspective, I completely get it. But Ufotable still turned around and converted that film into a TV series version. As such, I presume they will eventually do the same with this new trilogy.

Since that is likely to be the case, I would prefer to see the TV version first. In fact, it makes more sense to me to release the TV version first and then a compilation of movies that sum up and perhaps add a bit more at the end in of an epilogue in theaters after that. My main reasoning behind this is I just enjoy this franchise as a series more.

Sure, the epic grand conclusion of this series includes some of the likely best battles in anime history, but if anything needed a movie version, it was the recent Hashira Training Arc. That one dragged on way too long and had little going for it, so shortening it into a lightning fast movie would’ve at least trimmed the fat.

Then there is the fact that a movie trilogy is likely to lose some of the context and detail that a TV series would have. For instance, let’s imagine that it takes 24 episodes for a final season of Demon Slayer Infinity Castle. That would equal to roughly 480 minutes of the series, and that is if they are only 20 minute episodes each. Presumably, one or two of them would go longer.

Alternatively, even if all three movies are two hours long, that is only 360 minutes of content. Sure, I think the end of the manga can work this way. But that is a whole lot of time that a TV series version would be able to adapt better. This would allow for the proper time for some of the fights between the Hashira and the demons that non-manga fans are not ready for.

Not to mention, there is something generally special about waiting each week with the community. Everyone waits impatiently to find out what happens next. And I can already predict some of the great cliffhangers they might leave us on.

Sure, this can and will happen with the movie trilogy, but there is a problem here. We have no idea when the movies will release. We only know at this time that the first movie is coming in 2025. There is no guarantee that all three will release in 2025. In fact, I think it is a bit delusional to expect that. At best, we get two films in 2025 and a third in 2026.

At worst, though? We could see a new Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie every year until 2027. That would be an excruciating wait. This is doubly so since we’d presumably get the full final season in 2025. Even if the series did half of the season in 2025 and the other half in early 2026, it would still likely beat out the movie trilogy version.

This is also because movies have a stigma with them. An anime studio needs to go all out with even higher quality animation and details. You basically have to have the “finished product” so to speak in a theater. On the other hand, sometimes TV series have a bit of a roughness to them that can be addressed in a future Blu-Ray or movie release.

Furthermore, Ufotable arguably has the best overall animation quality in the industry. They don’t need to go any bigger or better than they already do. That just unnecessarily puts more strain and stress on the artists who are already overworked and underpaid enough.

Having the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie trilogy be a TV series instead is just the better option. It would allow everything to come out slightly sooner without the quality expectations a movie would require. In addition, a movie trilogy compilation release could still happen after the fact with extra content for fans. Regardless, I still look forward to watching the first movie in theaters in 2025.

Hot on the heels of other Demon Slayer announcements, Aniplex, Sega, and Cyberconnect2 confirmed Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will launch in 2025, and the game will include over 40 characters. The PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC will include both the full 20 fighters from the previous release, including DLC ones, but the announcement didn’t note if this will include their alts like the Academy versions.

As with the original Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, the second game will feature both a major Story Mode that acts like something of an action game with the fighting elements incorporated the traditional VS Mode arena fighter. While the first game covered the Unwavering Resolve and Mugen Train arcs of the anime and manga, the second will go through the Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village, and Hashira Training ones. This means the only part of the story not covered will be the Final Battle Arc. 

Here’s the first trailer for the game. It starts out by covering the Hashira that we’ll see in the new installment. However, at about the 55 second mark, it shifts to showcase the Story Mode. We get to see story segments, as well as some of the Demons we’ll get to face. VS Mode doesn’t come up during the video at all.

As for new characters, Sega and Aniplex didn’t reveal all of the newcomers who will round out the roster. The companies did say CyberConnect2 will include all of the nine Hashira, with Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji both named as newcomers in this installment. 

Right now, the first game is actually on sale. Amazon has both the PS4 and the PS5 version for $29.99, rather than $59.99. The Switch and Xbox versions aren’t as drastically reduced there, as Nintendo version is $46.41 and the Xbox one is $49.99.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will come to the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the game currently has a 2025 release window.

A Demon Slayer crossover event will appear in select Japanese Phoenix Darts darts game machines. The company has announced that the crossover will start in Japan on December 23, 2024, then run until mid-March 2025.

This crossover will primarily feature character designs from the franchise's anime adaptation. A special Count Up game that features the anime character illustrations will be playable throughout the event period.

In addition, the company will have the Japanese voice actor Natsuki Hanae record score calls with Tanjiro Kamado's voice. Players who have ed an on the Phoenix Darts app will be able to get digital in-game rewards by playing various kinds of darts games like Count Up, 501, and Cricket multiple times.

People can also get an early experience of the Demon Slayer crossover at The Final 2024 darts tournament, which will take place at Pacifico Yokohama on December 21-22, 2024. Everyone who participates in the tournament will receive an umbrella marker featuring a random Demon Slayer character. Those who visit the crossover event booth can also receive memorabilia like stickers and clear files.

The Demon Slayer crossover event will appear in Phoenix Darts online machines placed at various facilities across Japan from December 23, 2024, until March 19, 2025. The anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix, while Viz Media handles the manga outside Japan.

As expected from the Demon Slayer anime showcases at CCXP 2024, there were announcements about adaptations, but this time it involved Aniplex, Crunchyroll, and ufotable revealing a new movie called Infinity Castle. It is an adaptation of another storyline that is part of the Final Battle Arc, and it will launch in 2025.

To go along with the reveal, there are actually two new Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie trailers. One of them is the standard trailer available worldwide, which features the Japanese voice acting. The other is Crunchyroll’s reveal of the English dub for the film. Both of them are quite substantial videos that are over two minutes long. They start with Muzan explaining he’s looking for permanence and the ability to remain a perfect immortal. We then see flashes of past Demon Slayer Corps characters and Hashira. From there, we see Tanjiro fighting alongside a number of the Hashira as they all move to attack Muzan at once.

There is a Demon Slayer film you can watch online right now. Crunchyroll has the Mugen Train movie on the service right now. This is the adaptation of the arc of the same name. The seven-episode anime adaptation of it is also available on the service.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2, the sequel to the 2021 game Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, has been announced. Those visiting Jump Festa 2025 will be able to play a demo at the Aniplex booth. The first The Hinokami Chronicles fighting game appeared on the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The story will cover the Entertainment District Arc to the Hashira Training Arc. That means if a third game ever comes out, it would focus entirely on the Final Battle Arc, which includes the Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown Arcs. While there’s not a lot of information on playable characters or updates to the gameplay, leaker ryokutya2089 confirmed combat scenes for Mitsuri and Muichiro. You’ll also be able to unleash combination moves.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is a fighting game that covers the story from the beginning to the Mugen Train Arc. There’s a story mode that’s faithful to the original, though you can also fight against enemies or fellow demon slayers in normal matches. As a game adaptation of a popular anime and manga series, a major selling point is the faithful 3D recreation of iconic moves and scenes.

Demon Slayer is a best-selling anime and manga series that follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who wants to become a demon slayer. His goal is to kill the demon who slaughtered his family and turn his younger sister Nezuko back into a human. The series is so popular that the movie actually beat out Spirited Away as the highest grossing film of all time in Japan.

Aniplex and Crunchyroll announced there will be new information revealed about the Demon Slayer anime series. The companies revealed two new showcases set to air on December 9, 2024.

The first showcase will be held between 2:45am and 3:30am JST from the Crunchyroll Brazil official YouTube channel. That will end up being about 9:45am PT/12:45pm ET on December 8, 2024. The showcase will feature a Demon Slayer anime being held at the 2024 Comic Con Experience (CCXP) in São Paulo, Brazil.

Meanwhile, the second showcase will last 30 minutes and will be held online from 3am JST on the Aniplex official YouTube channel in Japan. That is 10am PT/1pm ET on December 8, 2024.

Additionally, Takahiro Sakurai and Kengo Kawanishi, the Japanese voice actors for Giyu Tomioka and Muichiro Tokito respectively will appear at CCXP 2024 as guest speakers alongside Daniel Figueira, the Brazilian voice actor for Demon Slayer protagonist Tanjiro Kamado. The link for the Crunchyroll Brazil showcase of the Demon Slayer anime series will be released at a later ahead and ahead of the event.

There is no indication of what kind of Demon Slayer anime information will appear during either of the showcases. Season 3 of the anime aired between April and June 2023, followed by season 4 between May and June 2024. We also saw the Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training movie debut in February 2024. So this could pertain to new details about the anime adaptation.

Nexon announced collaboration event with the Demon Slayer anime will appear in the 2D side-scrolling MMORPG MapleStory on September 19, 2024. New information about the collaboration will appear ahead of the event on a livestream that will be held on September 16, 2024.

The new collaboration will be reportedly the biggest event for MapleStory. The livestream will offer new details, including a glimpse at the new limited collaboration class “Tanjiro,” named after the Demon Slayer protagonist. Additionally, Japanese online streamer Clutch_Fi will be featured as a guest during the livestream.

Furthermore, audience participation sections and exclusive giveaways will also appear during the broadcast. The livestream will be available from the MapleStory official YouTube channel. However, it will only be available in Japanese. Therea re 9 Demon Slayer characters featured in the MapleStory event, and they include Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, Kanao Tsuyuri, Giyu Tomioka, Shinobu Kocho, Kyojuro Rengoku, and Tengen Uzui.

As a reminder, MapleStory celebrated its 20th anniversary on December 2023. Nexon offered details about the anniversary celebration events, which included new merchandise, social media campaigns, and a collaboration with the KonoSuba anime series.

Ueni Trading has announced that it will sell new Demon Slayer S-Meister watches under its Garrack brand. These automatic watches will be available in late August 2024.

The brand will produce four watches modeled after Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Kyojuro in this collection. Each model will have a unique design based on each character, but all of them will have the same basic functions. The watches will also have a water resistance of up to 5 ATM or bar.

Online orders for both smartwatches are still available at ￥35,200 (~$236) as of August 2024, and they are also available to ship overseas via the WorldShopping widget.

The Demon Slayer S-Meister watches will be formally available on August 30, 2024. Garrack will open pre-orders for the watches a week earlier from August 23, 2024.

The merchandise includes several themed sets from the Hashira Training Arc of the Demon Slayer anime. These sets include items like life-size cloth posters, acrylic stands, badges, and more.

Each Demon Slayer Hashira merch bundle from Ufotable at comiket is priced at 7,000 yen (approximately $48 USD). Additionally, there are two special merch bundles featuring Kyojuro Rengoku and Tengen Uzui, each priced at 19,000 yen (approximately $130 USD). These special bundles feature a unique lying down illustration created for an acrylic stand with other themed goods using this unique illustration.

Orders can be placed on the Ufotable Webshop from July 31, 2024, until September 2, 2024, with a special venue or store-exclusive fan included with each set purchased. The items were originally available at the Comic Market 104 event held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Hall from August 11 to 12, 2024.

S Trust Co. has announced the release of the sixth Calpas snack installment in the Demon Slayer series, includes stickers of famous scenes from the Hashira Training Arc. These exclusive prizes will be available at amusement arcades and online crane games across Japan starting July 5, 2024.

The product is a meat snack called Calpas. The Calpas come in two sizes: a “Multi-box” containing two bags of snacks with stickers and a “BIG box” with four bags and big stickers. Each package also includes a randomly selected additional sticker.

The Multi Box (18 x 11 x 5 cm, approximately 7 x 4.3 x 2 inches) offers ten different BIG stickers, each measuring 12.7 x 8.9 cm (approximately 5 x 3.5 inches). 

The BIG BOX (23 x 32 x 7.5 cm, approximately 9 x 12.6 x 3 inches) includes six Super BIG stickers, each measuring 20 x 11.25 cm (approximately 7.9 x 4.4 inches).

Both versions feature unique inner bag designs inspired by key visuals from the "Hashira Training Arc" of the TV anime.

Taito revealed a new line of character plushes called Doqute Petit, and characters from the Demon Slayer series will be the first ones to be adapted. The company has also opened pre-orders for the plushes on its online store.

There will be six characters featured in this lineup. They will be Tanjiro Kamado, Kyojuro Rengoku, Giyu Tomioka, Tengen Uzui, Muichiro Tokito, and Sanemi Shinazugawa. Each plush will have the same price tag of 19,800 yen (~$125). The plushes in this line will have an approximate total height of around 60 cm (~23.62 inches).

These new Petit plushes will be more accessible and affordable than Taito's prior products. The company had previously released the regular giant-sized Doqute plushes of Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Kyojuro, and Shinobu in July 2023. These plushes were over 1 meter (~39.37 inches) tall and priced at a whopping 66,000 yen (approximately $417 with the exchange rate as of mid-July 2024). People also only had around a week to place orders for these plushes on March 13-19, 2023.

The Demon Slayer anime series is still ongoing as it catches up with the original manga that had concluded in 2020. The fourth TV anime season that covered the Hashira Training arc had run in May-June 2024. Ufotable is working on a new trilogy of movies that will cover the subsequent Infinity Castle arc.

Taito will close the pre-order period for the made-to-order Demon Slayer Doqute Petit plushes on August 26, 2024. The company will ship the finished products in January 2025.
