Sony Pictures Entertainment and Crunchyroll announced that they will be responsible for bringing the three Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle movies to worldwide audiences. The films will receive a theatrical release, however there is currently no release date for them as of yet.

Anime studio Ufotable (Fate/Zero, Tales of Symphonia the Animation) will once again be producing the films, with direction from Haruo Sotozaki. The trilogy is expected to adapt the final two story arcs known as Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown, in place of a fifth season of the anime. The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train was an adaptation of the previous arc in the series.

demon slayer alert

Japanese Demon Slayer fans have taken to X (Twitter) to complain about a political news alert appearing during the newest episode of the anime. According to reports online, there were two alerts that appeared during the episode, with one of them being an earthquake alert and the other being the political one in question.

The alert appeared during a very climatic part of the episode. In a screenshot that Jeffrey J. Hall has shared on X (Twitter), we can see the alert banner on a scene in which Tanjiro is desperately training with a wooden sword. The alert states that opposition-backed candidate Yasutomo Suzuki is sure to win the Shizuoka election.

To be very specific, while Suzuki won the election and became the next governor of Shizuoka Prefecture, the alert’s announcement is not that. It uses the term “tousen kakujitsu,” which means that Suzuki was projected to win at the time of the alert. He had not won yet.

Looking up “Kimetsu alert” on X (Twitter) garners many results, with most of them negative. A lot of fans were angry that a political alert appeared during Demon Slayer and noted that since they were recording the episode for later, the alert appeared in the recording as well. A pointed out that a lot of people complaining are probably really young, but it’s a good thing that the government isn’t able to leverage anime or video games to stir political interest or sway anyone’s beliefs. Some ask why these alerts aren't restricted to news channels or NHK.

Demon Slayer is readily available to watch on services like Crunchyroll.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will be returning to USJ, as the theme park will once again hold a collaboration with the show. This time, there will be attractions based on the Swordsmith Village and Hashira Training Arcs. [Thanks, Oricon!]

The Demon Slayer collaboration at USJ will run from July 19, 2024 to January 5, 2025. There is a new key visual, featuring characters from the aforementioned arcs such as Mitsuri and Muichirou. There will be two new attractions: an XR ride and a Dream Ride. USJ’s XR rides usually are a slower roller coaster in which you go through and “experience” the events of the theme, including with some 4D elements like fog and voices.

As for merchandise you can get during this event, you can get a gourd that looks like the one Tanjiro used for his breathing training. This gourd will contain popcorn. More food and drinks based on Demon Slayer will be available in the USJ collaboration restaurant.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a wildly popular anime and manga series. The manga ran from 2016 to 2020, and ufotable’s anime series started airing in 2019. It’s so popular that the movie adaptation of the Mugen Train arc even sured Spirited Away to become the highest grossing film in Japan. Currently, it’s airing the Hashira Training Arc, which you can watch on services like Crunchyroll.

The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba collaboration event will be at USJ from July 19, 2024 to January 5, 2025.

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba watches

Garrack will release watches based off of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. It will come out in May 2024, and pre-orders will open in April 2024. [Thanks, PR Times!]

Like most modern smartwatches, the Demon Slayer watch will be able to help you maintain your health while telling you the time. It can monitor your heart rate and count your footsteps, as well as help you with your sleep schedule. The battery should be able to last you around fourteen days with a single charge.

There will be two versions of the watch, drawing on motifs from Tanjiro and Nezuko. Aside from looking different, they’ll function differently as well. The Tanjiro watch focuses on the concept of training. You can use the Total Concentration mode to practice breathing exercises. There will also be a Hashira Training mode. As for the Nezuko model, it serves as a sleep monitor, which will record how many times you woke up in the middle of the night and such. Both watches have a feature in which a mark will appear when your heart rate goes up. This mark is a very important plot feature that Gotouge introduced in the Hashira Training Arc.

The Demon Slayer watches from Garrack will open up for pre-orders in April 2024 and come out in May 2024. More information on these watches will appear in the near future. Demon Slayer is readily available for streaming via services like Crunchyroll.

demon slayer life-sized figures

Three life-sized figures of Demon Slayer characters are on display in the AmiAmi Radio Kaikan store in Japan. These figures are still not finished yet, but you can check them out now anyway.

The new Demon Slayer figures just need a final paint job before they’re done. However, you can still check them out if you go to the store. The characters on display are Tanjiro, Rengoku, and Uzui. They’re all sitting down, and they seem to be wearing civilian clothing rather than their uniforms.

Uzui, in particular, has his hair down and is holding a hat in his hand. While these figures are big and life-sized, they’re not to scale. Tanjiro canonically is much smaller than Uzui and Rengoku. However, in the display, he almost looks to be their size. Though the manga ended in 2020, Demon Slayer remains a very popular work due to its films and anime adaptation.

The story follows Tanjiro, who is a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, in order to help his younger sister, a demon, revert to a human. The latest season, the Hashira Training Arc, will start airing on May 12, 2024.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is readily available to watch on streaming services such as Netflix and Crunchyroll. The life-sized figures of the Demon Slayer characters in the AmiAmi Radio Kaikan branch in Akihabara are still a work in progress.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu Academy Story Anime Now on Crunchyroll

People can see the more lighthearted Demon Slayer anime now. Crunchyroll announced it added the Demon Slayer spin-off Junior High and High School!! Kimetsu Academy Story to its library. Both the original Japanese version with subtitles and an English dub are available.

As this is an alternate reality show, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu are all ordinary high school students. Some of their allies and Hashira appear as fellow students and teachers. However, while it is separate from the main storyline and there are no demons, some elements remain present. For example, rather than the bamboo muzzle Nezuko usually wears, she’s constantly eating bread from her family’s bakery. Each of these seven anime episodes are shorts and are less than three minutes long.

Here's a trailer from Junior High and High School!! Kimetsu Academy Story. On Crunchyroll proper, English, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles are available.

On Crunchyroll proper, English, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles are available. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SH_MZ9UAWZU&ab_channel=AniplexUSA This won't be the only way people can see Tanjiro and his friends' school days adventures.
