Kotobukiya has announced that it will restock its model kit of the female version of Kojima Production's mascot character Ludens in December 2024. The company has also opened pre-orders for the new batch at 7,480 yen (~$47.75) apiece.

This restock will apply to the white-armored model kit that Kotobukiya originally revealed in 2019 and released in 2020. The company also produced a black-colored variant of the kit the year after. The non-scale model kit will have an overall height of around 17cm (~6.69 inches) when completed.

Kotobukiya will also bring back the kit's bonus parts, although they will still be exclusively available on the Kotobukiya Online Shop in Japan. This set will include a clear translucent hair part and three unpainted facial expression parts.

At the same time, Kotobukiya also revealed a 1/12 scale model kit of the Reverse Trike from Kojima Productions' Death Stranding. This one will be based on the version used by Sam Porter Bridges in the game's opening. The completed kit will also be compatible with Good Smile Company's figma of the character.

Pre-orders for the Reverse Trike model kit are immediately available in Japan via Kotobukiya Online Shop at 8,800 yen (~$56), with guaranteed stock if people place orders by June 4, 2024. The company will actually release the kit in September 2024.

Kotobukiya will release the restocked Kojima Productions Female Ludens model kit in December 2024 and the new Reverse Trike model kit from the Death Stranding opening in September 2024.

The Osaka Comic Con talk between Hideo Kojima and Mads Mikkelsen is scheduled to appear on the main stage on May 5, 2024, at 12:25 pm JST, and the event will be held between May 3-5, 2024 at INTEX Osaka. Mads Mikkelsen appeared in Hideo Kojima’s latest video game, Death Stranding, as Clifford "Cliff" Unger, a major character and US Army Special Forces captain with a mysterious past tied to BB.

In addition, actor Norman Reedus, who portrays protagonist Sam Porter Bridges in both Death Stranding and its sequel Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, will attend Osaka Comic Con 2024. However, it doesn’t seem like he will be involved in the conversation with the game’s director.

As a reminder, a live-action feature film adaptation of Death Stranding is currently in the making as a collaboration between A24 and Kojima Productions. In addition, Hideo Kojima confirmed back in February 2024 that Mads Mikkelsen’s character of Cliff will not return for Death Stranding 2.

Death Stranding is readily available on the PS4 and PC, and the Death Stranding Director’s Cut version is available for PS5 and PC. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is currently in development for the PlayStation 5 with its release window set for 2025.

A24 and Kojima Productions announced their plans to adapt Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding into a live-action movie. A24 is best known for its highly-acclaimed films like Everything Everywhere All At Once, Moonlight, Uncut Gems, Hereditary, and Lady Bird.

The original video game features famous Hollywood actors like Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, Tommie Earl Jenkins, and Lindsey Wagner. There are currently no announcements regarding the cast for the Death Stranding live-action film adaption. No other information was revealed about the film adaption of the video game by Hideo Kojima.

To commemorate the announcement of the live-action feature film, A24 has released a special shirt with A24's logo specially woven into the style of Death Stranding's logo. The shirt comes in sizes Small to 2XL and costs $40 USD. The shirt is currently sold out on the A24 Shop due to popular demand following the film adaption's announcement.

The announcement of the Death Stranding live-action movie adaption coincides with Kojima Production's eighth anniversary which happens on December 16, 2023. The companies stated in the announcement that the film will delve into the mysteries surrounding the event of "Death Stranding", an apocalyptic event that drew horrifying monsters into the world and created a bridge between life and death.

Kojima Productions also revealed in the announcement that over 16 million people across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, PlayStation Plus, and PC Game have played the video game since its launch in 2019.

Death Stranding 2 was announced at The Game Awards 2022, which will feature familiar faces from the first game including Norman Reedus' Sam Porter, Lea Seydoux's Fragile, and Troy Baker's Higgs. The first game is currently available to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Apple revealed that Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil Village, and Death Stranding will be playable on new generation iPhone devices. This announcement comes alongside the reveal of the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphones. The games will be compatible with the new generation of iPhone devices only and are set to come out for these in 2023.

The new iPhone devices will release to the market on September 22, 2023 and will be available for pre-order from September 15, 2023. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be equipped with the A17 Pro chip, which will allow the new iPhone models to run such recent games as Resident Evil 4 Remake or Death Stranding. Furthermore, Apple confirmed that the new smartphones will hardware-accelerated ray tracing.

Additionally, Apple also revealed that the Assassin’s Creed Mirage will also be compatible with the new iPhone models. The game is set to come out for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in the first half of 2024.

Resident Evil Village is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Resident Evil 4 Remake is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Death Stranding is available for the PS4, PS5, and Windows PC. All three games are coming to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max later in 2023.

Microsoft announced the latest additions to and departures from Xbox Game . Death Stranding is among the games on the way out, with the PC version leaving the service on August 15, 2023. Hideo Kojima’s experimental game starring Norman Reedus as a courier in a post-apocalyptic landscape was a surprise addition to the PC Game library in 2022 due to Sony’s involvement in its development.

Here are the new additions to Xbox Game for August 2023. Two games are technically day-one additions. Everspace 2 is making its console debut (it’s already on PC Game ), and Broforce coming complete with its new expansion Broforce Forever.

Kojima Productions released a trailer for the Hideo Kojima documentary. Hideo Kojima – Connecting Worlds focuses on Kojima’s work as he makes the transition to opening an independent studio. While the documentary previously ended up being revealed to be part of the Tribeca Festival lineup, this is the first full trailer.

The trailer shows off snippets of behind-the-scenes footage at Kojima Productions during the development of Death Stranding. We see Kojima discussing aspects of the game with his team, and even a snippet of the game crashing on him during playtesting.

This footage appears alongside interviews with various people from the world of film and TV discussing Kojima’s work. His Death Stranding collaborators Norman Reedus, Guillermo del Toro, and Nicolas Winding Refn all appear, alongside Mad Max director George Miller. The documentary will also feature interviews with musicians Grimes and Chvrches, along with music video director Woodkid.

The Hideo Kojima documentary is set to premiere at Tribeca Festival on June 17, 2023. There will also be a Q&A with Kojima after the premiere. It will be one of several video game events at the 2023 festival, including a talk about The Expanse: A Telltale Series. Other games making an appearance at the show include Stray Gods and Goodbye Volcano High.

At Apple's WWDC 2023 presentation on June 5, 2023, Hideo Kojima appeared to announce the Death Stranding: Director's Cut Mac port. After the game porting technology Apple is working on was announced, the head of Kojima Productions appeared with his reveal. There’s no release date yet for it beyond the latter half of 2023, however. Kojima also stated, “This is just the beginning, and we are actively working to bring our future titles to Apple platforms.”

When discussing the port of his game for the Mac, Kojima also talked about some of the technology that will be used. He referenced Apple silicon and Metal 3, and specifically mentioned how they used MetalFX Upscaling.

As a reminder, Death Stranding debuted on the PS4 in 2019. PC and PS5 versions followed in 2021, with the Director’s Cut adding new content. There’s new equipment for Sam and new actions he can take while fighting. There’s also a roadster car to drive, either while traveling or on the new race track, and it added a Ruined Factory location.

Death Stranding is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC, and the Director's Cut will come to the Mac later in 2023.

A documentary about Hideo Kojima will be screened as part of the Tribeca Festival. Hideo Kojima – Connecting Worlds examines Kojima’s creative process and the launch of Kojima Productions as an independent studio. The screening will also be accompanied by an extended Q&A session with Kojima himself. The screening is set to take place on June 17, 2023 at the Indeed Theater at Spring Studios in New York City.

The documentary will feature appearances from several Kojima collaborators, many of whom worked with him on Death Stranding. These include movie directors Guillermo del Toro and Nicholas Winding Refn, actor Norman Reedus, and synth-pop band Chvrches. There are also appearances from Mad Max director George Miller, indie musician Grimes, and music video director Woodkid. The documentary was directed by Glen Milner.

Tribeca Festival is a film festival held annually in New York City. Since 2021, it has included a category dedicated to video games, which is usually included on the schedule for Summer Games Fest. The Hideo Kojima documentary will be one of this year’s video game events, including a talk on The Expanse: A Telltale Series and a games selection including Goodbye Volcano High and Stray Gods.

Hideo Kojima shared his Death Stranding 2 guest list for his Hideo Kojima Presents Brain Structure podcast, which will involve people playing characters in the game. The tweet refers to them as his “DS Family.” All of these episodes are available in both Japanese and English, and he has given the numbers of the episodes to make finding them easier.

Hideo Kojima Presents Brain Structure is an ongoing podcast from Kojima that is exclusively on Spotify. It started from late September 2022 and is a “deep-dive” into Kojima’s brain. They are in both Japanese and English, and he plays music on the podcast as well. As of February 2, 2023, he ed his episode with Elle Fanning. Though we do not yet know her role, we do know that Fanning will appear as a character in Death Stranding 2.

The tweet also includes the numbers for the episodes with Shioli Kutsuna, N.W. Refn, and Norman Reedus. Episode 23 will be the next one, but we do not yet know who he will invite. All we know is that it will be someone who worked on or is working on the game. Shioli Kutsuna, like Fanning, will play a Death Stranding 2 character. Meanwhile, Refn and Reedus were in the first game.

Hideo Kojima Presents Brain Structure is available on Spotify. Episode 23 will air on February 9, 2023. Death Stranding 2 is in development.

There will be a Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions movie soon, as the developer is wrking with Hammerstone Studios on a Death Stranding film. Alongside Kojima, Alex Lebovici will serve as a producer. This will be Kojima’s first movie project. [Thanks, Deadline!]

There are few details about the film adaptation at the moment. For example, it is unknown if actors like Norman Reedus will return to reprise their roles. Aside from Kojima and Lebovici’s involvement, details about the executive producers came up. Allan Ungar, who recently directed Bandit in 2022, will be one. Kojima Productions US will also serve in an executive producer role.

Two of Hammerstone Studios’ most recent movies are Barbarian and Bill & Ted Face the Music. However, it also worked on the Allan Ungar Uncharted - Live Action Fan Film starring Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake.

As a reminder, this isn’t the only Death Stranding project in the works. There is also a new game in development. At The Game Awards 2022, Hideo Kojima appeared to reveal Death Stranding 2. There was a new trailer that confirmed the return of characters like Sam Porter Bridges (Reedus) and Fragile (Léa Seydoux)

Death Stranding is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC. Death Stranding 2 and the Death Stranding movie are in development.

Hideo Kojima dropped a new teaser for his new Kojima Productions game. The latest reveal, which comes via Kojima's official Twitter , invites viewers to "Start a new journey." Accompanied by three mysterious symbols, the teases are widely rumored to be connected to an in-development Death Stranding 2.

Kojima's tweet features three mysterious symbols, at least one of which appeared on earlier teases confirming the involvement of actress Elle Fanning. One symbol is a logo for something called the "Automated Public Assistance Company." The second symbol was present on the Fanning teaser, and depicts a mysterious structure under an umbrella-like shape. The third symbol shows a tentacled creature pierced by harpoons. Exactly what the symbols mean is unknown, but they appear to be corporate or organizational logos of some kind.

The latest teases appear to be leading up to a reveal set for the 2022 Game Awards show. The Game Awards official Twitter , as well as the of creator and host Geoff Keighley, responded to Kojima's tease with hints that more will be revealed at the show on December 8, 20222, when the show goes live.

As for the connection to Death Stranding 2, that is also unconfirmed, though actor and Death Stranding star Norman Reedus did confirm that production is under way on the game. Kojima Productions is working on at least two projects. One is likely Death Stranding 2, while another, codenamed or titled "Overdose" appears to be connected to actress Margaret Qualley (who played Mama in Death Stranding). Some footage and screenshots of project Overdose leaked in early November.

Aside from the base game, the PC Game version of Death Stranding will have:

Essentially, players will be able to play through the original story while bedazzling Norman Reedus (who “play” protagonist Sam). However, PC Game players may still see Monster Energy drink in Death Stranding. While the reason is unclear, the Director’s Cut has removed all mentions and images of Monster Energy.

Death Stranding came out in 2019, and the Director’s Cut version appeared in 2021 on the PS5. The Director’s Cut version also appeared on Windows PC in 2022. The game follows Sam Porter Bridges, who is a courier delivering supplies to colonies after an apocalyptic event devastated Earth. It is Kojima and Kojima Productions's first game since they left Konami in 2015.

Death Stranding will be available on PC Game from August 23, 2022. You can also play Death Stranding on the PS4, PS5, and Windows PC. A sequel is in development.

According to a Leo Edit interview with Norman Reedus, a Death Stranding sequel is in production. When asked about his body of work and involvement in Death Stranding, Reedus candidly responded that he started working on the sequel. However, no further information was revealed. It is uncertain how far along the sequel may be or when production began. Reedus played lead character Sam Porter Bridges. [Thanks, Leo Edit!]

That said, Kojima Productions started recruiting for a new project. This included the hiring of more than a handful of positions which range from concept artists to VFX artists. The job listings did not mention any specific details about the project. They only noted that Kojima Productions is looking for people who are enthusiastic about working within the industry.

In December 2021, Hideo Kojima revealed that the studio is working on two different projects. One of these projects was described as being "big," while the other is "new" and "challenging." More information about both projects will more than likely appear in the future.

Death Stranding was Kojima Production's first title independent from Konami. It released for the PlayStation 4 in November 2019, with a PC release following in July 2022. The title was also made available for PlayStation 5 in September 2021. This was the Director's Cut version, which saw the addition of several quality of life features and some new content.

Hideo Kojima has received an Award of Fine Arts from Japan's Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. The success of his latest title, Death Stranding: Director's Cut, contributed to the award. Kojima Productions made the announcement via a press release, which is available in English.

The announcement page on Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs website confirmed Hideo Kojima's award in the Media Arts category. It also included a document detailing the reason behind the award. The committee highlighted Death Stranding's dynamic interactions created by having the protagonist connect segregated societies as a courier. The also praised Kojima for his continued approach to demonstrate methods that exceed existing theories and can only be enacted in games, beginning with his work on the 1987 Metal Gear game.

Hideo Kojima is the second game creator to receive the annual Japanese Minister's Award of Fine Arts in the Media Arts category, which launched in 2008 as the most recent addition. Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto was the first game-related recipient of the award in 2010.

Death Stranding is available on PlayStation 4 and PC. A Director's Cut edition of the game has also appeared on PlayStation 5. Kojima Productions and 505 Games will release the PC version of Death Stranding: Director's Cut on March 30, 2022.

More people will be able to play Death Standing Director's Cut, as a Steam product page is live for a PC version. The game first appeared as a PS5 exclusive in 2021. While there's no exact release date for this Death Standing Director's Cut PC port, it does have a Spring 2022 release window. 505 Games also confirmed that it will appear on Epic Games Store as well.

Death Stranding Director's Cut first appeared in September 2021. It expanded on the base game. Both quality of life adjustments and new content appear. For example, there are new skeletons to help with stability while traveling. You can work alongside a Buddy Bot, which can carry cargo or Sam. A race track is available. You can take the new Roadster car onto it to try and set speed records.

Some new story-related content appears too. There is now a Ruined Factory Sam can visit. Orders 76, 77, and 78 all deal with it. Once you get into them, you can unlock a new Maser Gun for Sam. The final mission of the three offers new lore.

Death Stranding is available on the PS4 and PC. Death Stranding Director's Cut is out on the PS5 now and will come to the PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in Spring 2022.
