We are still in the midst of the TCG Pocket Gible Solo Battle Event, but you’ll need to get some other decks prepared for the latest Pokémon TCG Pocket Event. To celebrate the release of the latest TCG Pocket Expansion, Triumphant Light, there is a new in-game PvP battle event so players can earn emblems and rewards. If you want to take part in the latest battle event, here are the best consistent TCG Pocket decks.

TCG Pocket Triumphant Light SP Emblem event rewards. 6h6o45

There are numerous rewards for completing missions in the Triumphant Light SP Emblem event, but above all people want to earn those emblems. The event asks players to win five PvP TCG Pocket battles in a row, with a new emblem awarded at two, three, four, and five consecutive wins.

Players can also grab Shinedust for meeting certain matches won milestones, and Pack Hourglasses are rewarded for participating in versus battles. You can claim both of these rewards from the Missions menu.

Misty, Vaporeon and Palkia ex card from TCG Pocket.

Players are using a wide variety of decks at the moment, but Palkia ex is one of the most popular ones and you should be aware of its strategy. Water decks are particularly powerful at the moment thanks to the great number of options available to Water-types like Misty and Irida.

The Palkia ex deck is based on Energy acceleration to your main attacker, Palkia ex. Manaphy places two Water Energy onto your bench, and Vaporeon can move any Water Energy on the bench to the active spot. Further Irida will heal any Pokémon with Water Energy attached, while Misty can put extra Water Energy onto the field. Once Palkia ex has four energy attached, it can deal 150 damage per turn, which is enough to overwhelm most other decks.

To beat this deck you need to take out the cards around Palkia ex quickly. Defeating the Eevee before it evolves, and the Manaphy before it can use Oceanic Gift, really disrupts the strategy. Any Pokémon that hits hard, and fast will dismantle the deck before it gets going.

Here’s the deck list we recommend for Palkia ex:

  • Palkia ex x2
  • Manaphy x2
  • Eevee (Mythical Island) x2
  • Vaporeon x2
  • Misty x2
  • Professor’s Research x2
  • Irida x2
  • X Speed x2
  • Poké Ball x2
  • Giant Cape x2

Koga, Darkrai ex and Weezing card from TCG Pocket

The other main deck at the moment is based around Darkrai ex, and there are many different variations. The strategy for this deck is based on damage over time. Darkrai ex does 20 damage to your active Pokémon every time you attach a Dark Energy to it, softening them up for a bigger attack. The Weezing from the Genetic Apex set works well with it as it adds extra chip damage with Poison.

When Weezing is about to be knocked out, it can be scooped with Koga and the Koffing set back down for the next turn. This allows the cards to be recycled through the deck without the opponent taking any points. This can quickly become frustrating, as damage doesn’t stick to this deck. Further, Rocky Helmet will deal damage back when the cards are attacked.

Darkrai ex decks rely on dealing small amounts of damage over time, and faster decks will outpace and overrun this deck. Decks that hit Pokémon on the bench can help take Darkrai ex out before it has dealt too much chip damage, and waiting until you can take out Active Pokémon in one hit will help with recoil damage.

Here’s the deck list we recommend for Darkrai ex:

  • Darkrai ex x2
  • Koffing (Mythical Island) x2
  • Weezing (Genetic Apex) x2
  • Koga x2
  • Professor’s Research x2
  • Cyrus x2
  • Potion x2
  • X Speed x2
  • Poké Ball x2
  • Rocky Helmet x2

Consistent TCG Pocket decks – Celebi ex 6p6123

Erika, Celebi ex, and Serperior cards from TCG Pocket

While Palkia ex, and Darkrai ex are the most popular TCG Pocket decks right now, there are two decks that we prefer for their consistency. In our opinion the best TCG Pocket deck remains Celebi ex, and it’s only become stronger thanks to the introduction of Pokémon Tools. Celebi ex can deal 50 damage for each Grass Energy attached to it, and Serperior doubles the amount of Grass Energy. You can see how this quickly gets out of hand.

Celebi ex’s main weakness is that it only has 130HP, but that’s not even a weakness anymore. The Giant Cape item can help Celebi ex survive previous one-hit knockouts, while Erika will heal Celebi ex for 50HP. This will keep Celebi alive for longer, and allow more Energy to be attached.

The key to beating Celebi ex is to take out the Snivy before it becomes a Serperior. Without the double Energy that Serperior provides, Celebi ex is a lot less threatening. However, if Serperior is online, you should change your target to Celebi ex, and try to take it out before it takes you down. Once the Celebi ex is knocked out, the Serperior in the back can’t deal nearly as much damage.

Here’s the deck list we recommend for Celebi ex:

  • Celebi ex x2
  • Snivy x2
  • Servine x2
  • Serperior x2
  • Erika x2
  • Professor’s Research x2
  • Sabrina x2
  • X Speed x2
  • Poké Ball x2
  • Giant Cape x2

Consistent TCG Pocket decks – Articuno ex 145t6y

Misty, Articuno ex, and Greninja cards from TCG Pocket

Articuno ex has fallen out of favor, but it is incredibly strong in the current Pokémon TCG Pocket meta thanks to its ability to hit Pokémon on the bench. Add in the huge amount of for Water decks thanks to Misty and Irida, and Articuno ex becomes a strong and consistent deck.

The introduction of Cyrus improved the Articuno ex deck, as it can pull up whichever Pokémon you want from the bench to the active. Articuno ex’s Blizzard and Greninja’s Water Shuriken allow you to damage Pokémon on the bench, which are then brought up with Cyrus for the knockout. Giant Cape and Irida will keep the Articuno ex healthy while Misty can accelerate Energy.

Without Misty, Articuno ex takes three turns to set up, which is a long time given how many cards can be set up with one or two Energy. Articuno ex can be taken out with two hits as a rule, which means it can be outpaced.

Here’s the Articuno ex deck list that we recommend:

  • Articuno ex x2
  • Froakie x1
  • Frogadier x1
  • Greninja x1
  • Misty x2
  • Professor’s Research x2
  • Cyrus x2
  • Irida x2
  • Potion x1
  • X Speed x2
  • Poké Ball x2
  • Giant Cape x2

Pokémon TCG Pocket has just added the Gible Solo Battle Event to the game with a number of sought after rewards for players. Not only is there a Full Art promo card up for grabs, but four other card variations, and a number of other rewards. If you want to load up on Hourglasses, Shinedust and promo cards, here’s everything you need to know about the TCG Pocket Gible Solo Battle Event.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Gible Solo Battle Event promo cards 5t466o

There are five promo cards that you can pick up as part of the event, and the chase card is the Full Art Gible. However, if you are building an Arceus ex deck, the event is an easier way to grab the Link Power Raichu card.

Here’s the full list of promo cards that are part of the Pokémon TCG Pocket Gible Solo Battle Event:

  • Cherrim
  • Raichu
  • Nose
  • Full Art Gible
  • Staraptor

Winning a Beginner match gives you a 50% chance of being rewarded with a promo card, while Expert battles guarantee the promo card drop. Essentially, the more difficult the battle, the more likely you are to grab a promo card. Luckily, you don’t use any Stamina if you lose an event battle, so don’t worry about trying a few times before you succeed. Winning battles will also reward you with Shinedust and Shop Tickets.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Gible Solo Battle Event challenges and rewards 6v2n3g

There are different challenges at each difficulty tier, and you will likely need different decks in order to complete every challenge. Aside from promo cards, there are different rewards you can grab. These include Hourglasses for opening packs, taking part in more Solo Battles, and Wonder Picking.

Here is a list of challenges that are part of the Gible Solo Battle Event:

  • Beginner
    • Knock Out with an attack from a Grass-type Pokémon
    • Play three Basic Pokémon

  • Intermediate
    • Two Knock Outs with attacks from Grass-type Pokémon
    • Put your opponent’s Pokémon to sleep one time
    • Win this battle by turn 14

  • Advanced
    • Win five or more battles
    • Win a battle using common Pokémon
    • Win a battle by turn 14
    • Win a battle without losing a Pokémon

  • Expert
    • Win 10 or more battles
    • Win 20 or more battles
    • Win a battle using common Pokémon
    • Win a battle by turn 12
    • Win a battle without losing a Pokémon

Best decks for the Gible Solo Battle Event 1a7021

There are a few challenges that we want to focus on when building our decks for this event. We will need a deck consisting of Grass-type Pokémon, a deck using only common cards, and a deck that can put the opponent to sleep.

The strongest Grass-type deck at the moment is the Celebi ex and Serperior deck, which mostly uses cards from the Mythical Island expansion. Celebi ex does damage based on how much Grass Energy is attached, and Serperior doubles all Grass Energy. The best Celebi ex decks have a lot of healing, with Erika for and the Pokémon Tool Giant Cape. This deck is also one of the strongest for PvP battles.

Here’s the Celebi ex deck list that we recommend:

  • Celebi ex x2
  • Snivy x2
  • Servine x2
  • Serperior x2
  • X Speed x2
  • Poké Ball x2
  • Giant Cape x2
  • Professor’s Research x2
  • Erika x2
  • Sabrina x2

The Celebi ex deck can be easily changed into a deck that only uses common cards. Dhelmise is a great common substitution for Celebi ex as it can deal 90 damage per turn when it has four Grass Energy attached. It also has a lot of HP making it difficult to take down quickly. We’ve exchanged the Giant Cape for Rocky Helmet to deal some extra damage. Here is the common card counter deck we recommend.

  • Dhelmise x2
  • Snivy x2
  • Servine x2
  • Serperior x2
  • X Speed x2
  • Poké Ball x2
  • Rocky Helmet x2
  • Professor’s Research x2
  • Erika x2
  • Sabrina x2

The final deck we need is one that can put the opponent to sleep. As you don’t lose Stamina when you lose a battle the best deck is one that is filled with er cards. Make a deck with a Jigglypuff that can put the opponent to sleep, and the other cards should be ers, Items and Tools. This way you will start with Jigglypuff in your hand, you can send your opponent to sleep and then immediately concede.

    • Win a battle without losing a Pokémon
  • Expert
    • Win 10 or more battles

Pokémon TCG Pocket has just launched its sixth expansion pack Triumphant Light, featuring 75 new base cards, and 21 special illustration cards to collect. There are five new ex cards, a number of new full art cards, and a new battling mechanic. Triumphant Light introduces Link Abilities. Magnezone, Crobat, Tyranitar, Rotom, Raichu, Abomasnow, Heatran, and Carnivine all have abilities that make them stronger when Arceus is in play. Irida is another interesting card in the deck as she can heal 40HP on any Pokémon with a Water Energy attached. This doesn’t have to be a Water-type and could work in multiple decks.

We Can Only Trade Certain Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket Cards

The latest Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket update confirmed that we will be able to trade cards in January 2025, but not all of them will be able to be traded. The announcement said it will only be possible for “certain cards.”

Here’s the exact portion of the announcement dealing with the trade feature for cards in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. While it does offer the launch window and promise the number that can be swapped with other players will grow, it doesn’t note what the limitations will look like. The game works like the actual card game, which means there are basic, stage 1, and stage 2 Pokemon, Trainer cards that involve items or ers, and more special ones. It could be possible that ex, full art, or Immersive could be off the table.

“In addition, we are aiming to add a feature that allows certain cards to be traded starting in January 2025. We are planning to gradually expand the selection of cards that are able to be traded.”

It is unknown if that could also be a reference to the fact that the library of available cards will grow. The announcement also confirmed more boosters will launch in 2024.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is available on mobile devices, and the trade feature for cards will arrive in January 2025. Almost immediately after launch, it ed 10 million s worldwide.

Game Freak has yet to announce a main series title in the Pokemon franchise, despite us being halfway through the year. This has led many players to ask: will we be getting a new Pokemon game in 2024? Here is everything we know so far about the Nintendo franchise's plans for this year.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we are getting a main series Pokemon game in 2024. Instead, the Nintendo developer is releasing a mobile app titled Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. This game adapts the TCG game to mobile phones, where you can compete against other players.

It also has a gacha mechanic where you can open two free packs of cards a day to collect and trade cards. Some of the game’s cards are called Immersive Cards, which feature specialized graphics and music to accompany them.

We don’t have the exact date for when Pokémon TCG Pocket will be released, but it will be available on Android and iOS sometime later this fall. Based on previous years, Game Ferak would have announced a 2024 Pokemon title during the annual Pokemon Day celebration in February. However, the only thing that was announced was the new TCG app.

When Will the Next Main Series Pokemon Game Be Released? 332j4g

Game Freak announced earlier this year that their next installment in the Legends series will be released sometime in 2025, called Pokemon Legends: Z-A. It serves as the follow-up to Legends: Arceus, which took place a few hundred years before the events of Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.

Legends: Z-A takes place in Lumios City in Kalos, where Lumios City is undergoing a redevelopment plan. It is unsure if it will be an open-world game like Legends: Arceus or now many of the first game’s mechanics will carry over. Legends: Z-A will be released on the Switch.

Outside of Legends: Z-A, we don’t know when any other main series Pokemon game will be released. The Pokemon Company has not yet announced the followup to Scarlet and Violet nor any remakes. Considering Pokemon’s release history, we can likely expect remakes of Black and White next, but with the next Legends game taking place in Kalos, we might be looking at X and Y remakes instead.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is now available on Nintendo Switch.

Pokemon Friendships Grow in the Adventures of Snorlax & Cubone

The official Pokemon YouTube shared a brand new Pokemon short called The Adventures of Snorlax & Cubone. The new episode is a compilation of four shorts that were initially released on social media and focused on the growing friendship of Cubone and Snorlax.

The animation is part of a larger campaign called Project Snorlax, which focuses on merchandise, comics, animations, and other promotional materials highlighting Snorlax. Directed, storyboarded, and written by Yoshimitsu Saito (visual effects on Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy, Resident Evil Zero), The Adventures of Snorlax & Cubone shows the growing friendship of Cubone and Snorlax across the four seasons.

The beginning of the short shows Cubone crying alone under a full moon during the summer when suddenly a bunch of mushrooms begin to glow under the moon's light. Cubone is drawn into the forest, where more glowing spores float around, and the Pokemon stumbles across Snorlax, who is eating piles of glowing mushrooms. This interaction begins their unlikely friendship and shows how they start to care for each other.

The animated Pokemon short can be viewed below:

The animation studio behind The Adventures of Snorlax & Cubone is Polygon Pictures. This Japan-based 3DCG company has worked on highly acclaimed properties, including Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Resistance, Love, Death & Robots, and Tron: Uprising. The studio also works on the 2024 Marvel Studios animated Disney+ series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

To celebrate the new year, the Pokemon Center Online released Pokemon Year of the Dragon merchandise that features Rayquaza, Horsea, and Pikachu. These ceramic Pokemon figures and ornaments are crafted in collaboration with Yakushigama, best known as a ceramic ware brand produced by Chugai Toen.

The Rayquaza and Pikachu ceramic figurine comes with a pedestal and gold folding screen. Rayquaza is shown holding a small Pikachu in their arms while resting atop clouds. This Pokemon Year of the Dragon merchandise designed in collaboration with Yakushigama will be available at the Pokemon Center storefronts in Japan starting December 2, 2023. Each store will have a different process for obtaining one of these ceramic Pokemon items.

Recently, Pokemon collaborated with Tiffany and Co. to release a brand new line of luxury Pokemon jewelry which also featured a Poke Ball design for for the jewelry cases. Takara Tomy is producing a giant Clodsire plush. Pokemon fans can also purchase a reclining chair in the shape of Sizzlipede from the official store. The Pokemon Company unveiled a new " trading card set" called Pokemon TCG Classic during the February 27, 2023 Pokemon Presents presentation. The set is in essence, a high-quality set of props used to play Pokemon TCG.

You can see a teaser clip for Pokemon TCG Classic at the 3-minute mark in the stream archive.

https://youtu.be/Qyfyd_t9mzs?t=182

The clip shows a man walking into a classy gaming lounge while carrying a leather briefcase. The case is embossed with Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic. The set is being made as a collaboration between The Pokemon Company, design firm Nendo company, and Pokemon TCG developer Creatures. A sneak preview of the full set will be available at the Pokemon World Championships.

The World Championships will be held in Japan for the first time ever. The venue is in Yokohama, and the event is scheduled for August 11 to 13, 2023. best pokedex entries snorlax

With the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, our minds are on our favorite pocketable pals. Over the years, there have been some truly off-the-wall, disturbing and just plain cool descriptions in the in-game Pokedex. But which are the best Pokedex entries? We like these. Share your favorites, too!

There are some truly wild descriptions in the Pokedex sometimes, but my favorites are the more mundane curiosities.

For example: Snorlax! The entries vary a bit on the specifics, but they're always in a similar ballpark: it eats at least 880 pounds of food every day, immediately falls asleep and is too lazy to move after that. But also it's only 1,014 pounds? What is this metabolism? Average humans eat well below five percent of their body weight a day, and this thing's eating 90.

Somehow, the wildest thing about Snorlax is how small it is. — Graham

best pokedex entries hatterene

The Pokedex entries for Ghost-type Pokemon are often cited for how creepy they are, and so let's avoid that. Spoink also deserves a special mention for the sheer ridiculousness of imagining life as a Spoink. If it can't stop moving lest it risk death, then how does it sleep...?

No, actually, my favorite Pokedex entry is Hatterene's. I love Hatterene and all of the other pastel Psychic-type Pokemon on its evolutionary chain. But the mental image of moping around, only to suddenly see a 2-meter tall Pokemon slowly floating its way over to you with the express intent of beating you up? Absolutely horrifying. — Stephanie

this one has kadabra and sunkern in it

Ever read about Kadabra? That Pokemon has some The Metamorphosis shenanigans going on in some of its best Pokedex entries. Supposedly, in some situations there are rumors about people turning into Kadabra. Granted, the entries talking about it sound like something that could have happened to your third grade classmate’s cousin’s father-in-law’s stepson.

Long story short, apparently some kids who may or may not take part in extrasensory research could wake from uneasy dreams transformed into a spoon-wielding Pokemon. — Jenni

best pokedex entries golduck

I'm a fan of more relatable Pokedex entries. Take Sunkern, a Pokemon who attempts to move as little as it can, or Morpeko, one that is constantly hungry. Sure, there are a ton of more bizarre entries to write home about, but I like Pokemon that I'd immediately vibe with.

My favorite Pokemon of all time is Golduck, and in Sapphire, the Pokedex entry pointed out that because it is such a strong swimmer, it often saves people from shipwrecks. That one made me love that big blue duck even more. — Carley
