We now not only have a Castlevania Nocturne season 2 release date, but a new trailer prominently featuring Alucard and Richter Belmont in the Netflix anime series. The show returns on January 16, 2025. As we already knew and expected, the recurring cast member from the first adaptation will be back. 

The trailer begins with some spoilers of sorts, revealing that the Richter and his allies lost against Erzsebet at the end of the first season. However, Alucard appeared during the cliffhanger of the first Castlevania Nocturne season, ing the Belmont, Maria Renard, and Annette. In the video, we see Richter unite with Alucard and Annette to discuss teaming up. We then get to hear Alucard talk about his cause, how he’s always fought alongside Belmonts, reminiscing about Trevor, and referring to of that family as “irritating.”

As for season 1 one of the show, that’s available now. You can already watch it on Netflix. However, it is also available via another method for those who want permanent access and to not have to rely on a streaming service. On October 8, 2024, the show got a Blu-ray release.

In addition to the Castlevania Nocturne appearance, Alucard featured prominently in the previous anime on Netflix. He was a major character right from the start, debuting in season 1 and acting as an ally to Trevor Belmont. 

Castlevania Nocturne is available on Netflix, and the anime will continue on January 16, 2025.

Netflix announced more details about season 2 of Castlevania: Nocturne, the latest anime adaptation that stars Richter Belmont and Maria Renard. There’s a new trailer for the show, hinting at some of the events of it, as well as a new January 2025 launch window.

The new video begins with us hearing someone’s voice as he asks Richter for help. We also see Maria briefly. One of the antagonists of the season comes up, before we also get to see that Alucard will play a part in this season’s events. We also get an idea of what it will be like as the three come together to face Erzsebet Bathory.

The first season of the Castlevania: Nocturne anime debuted in September 2023. However, you can only find it streaming right now. Physical copies aren’t available just yet. Viz Media will be selling the first eight episodes on Blu-ray in October 2024. 

Castlevania: Nocturne season 2 will air on Netflix in January 2025, and the first season of the anime adaptation is available now. The four seasons of the original animated series are available on Netflix as well.

Viz Media confirmed that it is planning a Castlevania: Nocturne season 1 Blu-ray release. Physical copies of the show, which consists of eight episodes so far, will be available on October 8, 2024.

This isn’t the only piece of Castlevania: Nocturne merchandise expected around that time of year. The worldwide release of the Richter Belmont Nendoroid falls in Q3 2024. It is based entirely on his appearance in the show. It consists of his classic whip and other weapons, as well as an outfit that calls back to his original game appearances.

We may be in for even more Castlevania: Nocturne news in addition to the season 1 physical release, as season 2 is in development. Netflix confirmed it was in production back on October 6, 2024. Aside from a teaser trailer involving Alucard, however, there hasn’t been much of an update on that. As a reminder, the original Castlevania series on Netflix had seasons air in July 2017, October 2018, March 2020, and May 2021, so it isn’t uncommon for there to be gaps of a year or more between seasons.

The first season of Castlevania: Nocturne is streaming on Netflix, and people can pick up the season 1 Blu-ray on October 8, 2024.

The Nendoroid figure of Castlevania: Nocturne's Richter Belmont is now available for pre-order. After previously revealing the project at WonHobby 37 Summer in late July 2023, Good Smile Company has set up new webpages for the figure on its International and North American online shops. The Nendoroid will be available at ¥7,800 / $48.99.

The set will contain three different face parts for Richter. Other than a normal calm face, he will also have angry and sorrowful faces. The package will also include Richter's whip as an optional part. The whip will be available in rolled and extended forms.

This Nendoroid will be modeled after Richter Belmont's appearance in Castlevania: Nocturne, an anime show available immediately on Netflix. Other than Good Smile Company, Super Groupies has also revealed merchandise inspired by the title, such as watches, wallets, and jackets.

Pre-orders for the Castlevania: Nocturne Richter Belmont Nendoroid will close on December 21, 2023, at noon JST / December 20, 2023, at 10 PM ET. Good Smile Company will ship the figures to Japan in April 2024 and North America in Q3 2024.

During the September 27, 2023 Drop 01 event, Netflix shared the first seven minutes of a Castlevania: Nocturne episode starring Richter Belmont and his mother, Julia. It reveals she’s a vampire hunter as well. In the segment, we see what happens when the two of them end up running into the vampire Olrox. 

In the games, Richter’s exact parentage is a bit vague, but the Castlevania: Nocturne clip shows him as a child with his mother Julia Belmont. The two are in Boston in 1783. That’s the year the American Revolution ended. The duo are heading to the harbor to a ship while fireworks happen overhead. Richter isn’t happy that Julia is sending him to to live with his aunt, Tera. He suggests it isn’t safe, because she isn’t a vampire hunter, and that he needs to fight alongside her. 

It’s then that Olrox interrupts the two while she attempts to explain things. After Julia tells Richter to go ahead of her, her and Olrox fight one another. We see that she’s wielding the trademark Belmont whip during the battle, as well as fire magic.

This is one of two shows tied to Adi Shankar to appear during Drop 01. The other was a Devil May Cry adaptation.That is in development and doesn’t have a release window. There was also footage of a new Tomb Raider show that will follow the events of the 2013 reboot, which will appear in 2024. 

Castlevania: Nocturne will appear on Netflix on September 28, 2023, and the four seasons of the original anime style series are now live on the service.

Super Groupies launched a new line of Castlevania merchandise based on Richter Belmont and Alucard. It features watches, jackets, and wallets inspired by the characters from the long-running franchise published by Konami. The jackets and wallets will ship out in January 2024, while the watches will ship out February 2024.

The merchandise in this line features intricate details that call-back to familiar design motifs for Richter Belmont and Alucard in games like Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night. Richer Belmont's wallet has artwork of one of the stages from franchise, and his jacket has a small patch with a cross, holy water, and a heart. Alucard's watch has a small wolf on the face.

Richter Belmont is a vampire hunter who made his first appearance in the franchise in Rondo of Blood, and he will appear in his own animated show releasing on Netflix in September 2023. Alucard, the son of Dracula, made his first appearance in Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. Alucard is also one of the main characters in Netflix's animated adaption of Castlevania.

At WonHobby 37 Summer, Good Smile Company announced a Richter Belmont Nendoroid based on his Castlevania Nocturne appearance. This is the second Nendoroid based on a character from the series. It's also the first Good Smile Company Castlevania figure of a Belmont, as it only made a pin of Trevor before.

Here's a closer look at Richter Belmont from the announcement. As it is so early in the process, there's no prototype yet. Only official concept art appeared. It does show that he will still end up coming with his family's familiar whip as an accessory. However, there are no other hints about what we can expect from this figure.

Earlier in July 2023, Netflix announced a release date for the Castlevania Nocturne animated series. It will show up on the service starting on September 28, 2023. The company followed that up with a new teaser for the show.

There's more news on the new Netflix Castlevania show. Castlevania: Nocturne has a release date. It will begin streaming on the service on September 28, 2023. This comes over a year after its initial announcement, as we learned a new animated endeavor following Richter Belmont's adventures would appear way back in June 2022. We also learned that the teaser trailer will appear on July 27, 2023.

The new key art for Castlevania: Nocturne appeared, and it featured a look at Richter. Specifically, we get a better look at him and his outfit from the back. The insignia specifically is highlighted.

We'll get a better look at him and what to expect tomorrow. Netflix noted that's when the new teaser trailer will appear. As it was specifically referred to as a teaser, it is likely it will only be a short video that introduces a bit of the show.

The original Castlevania animated show on Netflix started airing in 2017. Four seasons of it appeared. It followed Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, and Alucard as they dealt with Dracula, then later the Council of Sisters.

The Castlevania: Nocturne release date is September 28, 2023, and it will air on Netflix. The four seasons of the original series are now live on the service.
