Five VTubers left idol Corp after its acquisition by Brave group US. Kattarina Qutie, Fuyo Cloverfield, Juna Unagi, Rin Penrose, and Meica05 will go independent.

This announcement appeared on the official socials for idol Corp. It starts with gratitude for the management team, whose cooperation is making the transition mush easier. Then, it goes on to reiterate that Brave respects the decisions of the individual VTubers in regards to the future of their career. Kattarina Qutie, Fuyo Cloverfield, Juna Unagi, Rin Penrose, and Meica05 have decided not to remain and a farewell stream for them will appear in November 2024.

In the previous announcement, Brave said that VTubers would be allowed to retain the rights to their models, characters, and social media s. This new announcement goes into a bit more detail in regards to that. Brave will not require the VTubers to pay an upfront fee for the rights to their characters. Instead, it will set up a revenue-sharing model with them that lasts for a year. This is, according to Brave, a way for them to grow their careers. The VTubers remaining will receive 3D model debuts some time later.

At the end of the announcement, Brave gives a quick overview of the company’s future. It will delay idolEN3’s debut, as well as debut four more talents later. It also stated that anyone waiting on pending merchandise orders should get them before October 15, 2024.

VTubers remaining at idol Corp include Nikki Rei, Momo Otako, and Lalabell Lullaby.

The announcement starts with a history of idol Corp, as well as how it grew while maintaining its core values of transparency with the community and of its idols. However, because of how many talents there now are in the agency, it is difficult to maintain the same level of as before.

With Brave group US’s acquisition, idol Corp can continue its usual activities with even more resources than before. VTubers with idol Corp have the choice to stay or go indie. If they decide to go indie, they can retain the rights to their social media s, models, and characters. 

Near the end of the notice, idol tells fans that it and Brave group wish to resolve some issues regarding late shipments of goods, as well as open invoices. In Brave group’s announcement of the acquisition, it stated that former idol Corp CEO Aviel Basin has stepped down from his role. It does not seem like he is working at the company in any capacity.

Brave group started a partnership with idol Corp in December 2023. This is the likely reason why many commenters said they saw this coming. Other VTuber agencies part of Brave group include VSPO! and V4Mirai.

As of the time of writing, all of the idol Corp VTubers are still with the agency.
