hatsune miku autumn figure

A new Hatsune Miku, showing what she would wear if she's on a trip in autumn, figure is open for pre-order. It's based off a contest-winning design from illustrator Rumoon.

The figure shows Miku in her signature pig tails, though with the additions of hair horns and barrettes. She also has a beret, as well as a blue fall jacket over a white-and-black dress. The dress has two maple leaves in the ruffles, along with a ribbon, and there is also a leaf on her head. Her cheeks are a little flushed, looking like she’s standing out in cold weather. As mentioned earlier, the designer is Rumoon. They had submitted it to Chinese site Poppro as part of the contest.

Here are some more pictures:

You can pre-order this figure via AmiAmi. The English version of the site, as of the time of writing, doesn’t carry it. AmiAmi in Japan is selling it for 12,980 JPY ($90.40). It’ll come out some time in March 2025.

This is not the first time that a Miku figure came out with a design from a contest winner or guest artist. Piapro usually holds contest for the next Snow Miku design, for example. It recently announced the winner for the 2025 design, which uses “Kira Kira Snow Material” as a theme.

The autumn Miku figure will come out in March 2025, and pre-orders are available on AmiAmi.

Atelier Ryza Artery Gear

Bilibili announced an Atelier Ryza collaboration event in Artery Gear: Fusion. The collaboration event will feature Reisalin, Klaudia, and Lila as playable characters, available through the limited-time collaboration gacha banner. The collaboration will also introduces a new alchemy mechanic similar to those found in the Atelier series. There is no confirmed release date for the event. [Thanks, Dengeki!]

https://twitter.com/arterygear_jp/status/1475330601494274053?s=20

The collaboration event story reveals that the three girls accidentally traveled into the world of Artery Gear: Fusion. Though the three Atelier Ryza characters may not seem like a fit for the sci-fi genre, they will be equipped with high-tech equipment and are capable of holding their own. Original voice actors Haruka Terui, Hitomi Owada, and Yuri Noguchi will reprise their roles.

Reisalin can use incendiary attacks, Klaudia can use freezing attacks, and Lila can use lightning. Players can acquire the three characters through the collaboration gacha banner. A pity roll at 90 pulls will reward players with one of the Atelier Ryza characters.

Furthermore, the collaboration will feature an exploration and alchemy mechanic. Players can send out an expedition for a chance to receive ingredients and usable items. Players could then use these ingredients to craft special items using an alchemy pot in order to complete requests, just like in the Atelier games.

You can check out the official Atelier Ryza Artery Gear: Fusion collaboration trailer below:

The Atelier series is no stranger to collaborations, of course. Earlier this year, several Atelier Ryza 2 characters appeared in Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV. Koei Tecmo also announced it would collaborate with Bandai Namco to bring Atelier Sophie characters to Tales of Arise.

Artery Gear is available on iOS and Android devices in Japan. As of writing, there is no confirmed release date for the Atelier Ryza collaboration event.

Fate Grand Order Chinese removed characters

In the most recent update for the Chinese version of Fate/Grand Order, Bilibili removed large elements from most of the Chinese Servants in-game. The illustrations, voices, names, and matrix data have been deleted. In lieu of the characters’ real names, you will see their class and a number. [Thanks, FateGrandOrder!]

This update went live in China on September 16, 2021. However, it seems that Wu Zetian was missing large parts of her data even earlier. In total, 13 Servants will receive alterations. The new names for the Servants are:

  • Jingke: Assassin 042
  • Lu Bu: Berserker 049
  • Wu Zetian: Assassin 170
  • Nezha: Lancer 193
  • Xiang Yu: Berserker 226
  • Qin Liangyu: Lancer 228
  • Shi Huang Di: Ruler 229
  • Yu Mei-Ren (Assassin): Assassin 230
  • Red Hare: Rider 231
  • Sima Yi (Reines): Rider 241
  • Yang Guifei: Foreigner 274
  • Yu Mei-Ren (Lancer): Lancer 288

Sanzang’s card art is also affected in this update, along with the two versions of Yu Mei-Ren and Yang Guifei. The default class art will replace their illustrations. Lastly, Bilibili will alter all 13 Servants’ biographies and voice lines. It seems the only Chinese Servants that are still properly available in the game are Lanling Wang, Zhuge Liang, Chen Gong, Li Shuwen, and Yan Qing. Here is what the summoning animation looks like now:

Just last month, China further restricted online gaming time for minors within the country. It is currently unknown whether this is a temporary or permanent change. Though speculation is abound online, Bilibili has also not given a concrete reason for this update. Bilibili does note that the character art for the first summoning and story, as well as the sprites, will not be altered.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices worldwide. This change will only occur on the Chinese server.

Here is what the summoning animation looks like now: [embed]https://twitter.com/tklee334/status/1438179654230106115?s=20[/embed] Just last month, China further restricted online gaming time for minors within the country. This change will only occur on the Chinese server.

fall guys mobile

The next Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout platform has been released, but it only applies to one region. There will be a Fall Guys mobile port. Bilibili will publish a version of the game in China. [Thanks, GamesIndustry.biz and Daniel “ZhugeEX” Ahmad!]

Ahmad first discovered and shared the Bilibili acquisition of publishing rights. Then, Mediatonic Co-founder Paul Croft told GamesIndustry.biz that it would be going mobile in China.

Here’s Croft’s statement.

We can confirm Bilibili have secured publishing rights to a mobile version in China. As you can imagine, we've had a lot of questions about platforms since launch, and of course we'd love to release on more platforms in the future but for now we're focusing our efforts on PC and PS4.

This comes after Mediatonic had to warn people about a fake Fall Guys mobile scam. Back on August 17, 2020, the developer sounded the alarm that there were fake versions being rumored and people shouldn’t believe it.

Fall Guys has been receiving multiple updates as of late. There have been collaborative costumes connected to games like Portal 2 and Enter the Gungeon. We also know that one of the gamescom Opening Night Live 2020 announcements will offer a peek at what people can expect from the second season of the game.

A Fall Guys mobile version will launch in China. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is immediately available on the PlayStation 4 and PC.

Komori Life

Chinese publisher Bilibili announced today that their smartphone slow life sim Komori Life will be launching in Japan in Summer 2020. The game is a free-to-play title that focuses on single-player exploration and growth, and you can play as a variety of avatars and take in the rustic country environment at your own pace. The game is developed by Shanghai Zorro Network Technology and launched earlier in China, Taiwan, and HK in January 2020. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Check out the trailer for the game below:

The game has some serious Boku no Natsuyasumi vibes and details the protagonist's return to their grandmother's countryside home, where they grew up. Tired with city life, the protagonist decides to try and reconnect with the people they met here, farm, fish, and experience an idyllic life.

Gameplay-wise, at first glance the game's UI and graphics are reminiscent of a smartphone MMO, and indeed some of the mechanics play similarly on the surface. However, the game is mainly focused on exploration, growing things, helping other villagers out, and restoring your deceased grandmother's old house.

Komori Life will launch in Japan in Summer 2020 for iOS and Android. The game is immediately available to play in Chinese in Asia.
