Bandai has revealed a new Original Tamagotchi decorated after the World Expo 2025 mascot Myaku-Myaku. The company will start selling the Tamagotchi, along with more related merchandise, exclusively at the Expo's venue in Osaka starting on April 13, 2025.

Even though the Tamagotchi's exterior is being decorated with Myaku-Myaku and other Expo elements, it is yet to be known whether the mascot itself will also appear in the device or not. Images published for the product so far only show existing series characters like Mametchi and Kuchipatchi, just like the other Original Tamagotchis that appeared exclusively via Lawson outlets and Chogokin Robo figures.

The Original Tamagotchi will not be the only item Bandai sells at the Expo. The company will also sell other merchandise adorned with the collaboration theme, which ranges from keychains to T-shirts.

Here is the complete list of Tamagotchi-themed items that will be available for purchase at Expo 2025, with prices listed in Japanese yen:

Bandai released a new Godzilla toy in Japan based on the Crocodile Dentist toy that features the Burning Godzilla design from the movie Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. The new toy costs 2,090 yen (or approximately $13.92), and it is now available in Japan.

The toy is modeled after the “Itai Wani” classic game (which roughly translates to "painful crocodile") and it is also based on Godzilla’s appearance in the 1995 movie Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. The film celebrates the 30th anniversary of its release on December 9, 2025.

The Burning Godzilla toy is suitable for ages 3 or higher, and its dimensions are approximately 185mm (or about 7.3 inches) in length. Same as with the Crocodile Dentist toy, each player takes a turn to push down a single tooth of their choosing, and if bitten by Burning Godzilla that player loses and retires from the game until one single player remains.

As a reminder, the same version of Burning Godzilla appeared in Dave the Diver as a free DLC collaboration on May 23, 2024. The iconic kaiju also made its debut on Fortnite back in January 14, 2025.

Toei Animation ed Digimon Adventure -Beyond-, which is a promotional video for the 25th anniversary of Digimon Adventure. The entire video is a little over four minutes long, and you can watch it via the official Toei Animation YouTube channel with English subtitles.

The video takes place around the final episode of Digimon Adventure 02. For the first half of the video, we see Taichi and Yamato bantering as they, with Iori’s help, are rescuing a kid with a Digimon partner. After a Digimon attacks them, they send the kid and Iori ahead via a Digital Gate, before they order Agumon and Gabumon to evolve and attack. The latter half of the video shows the grown-up versions of the Chosen Children from Digimon Adventure and Adventure 02.

During the video, we can also hear a 25th anniversary arrange for “Brave Heart.” This song played in the original Japanese version of Adventure every time an evolution scene happened. Ayumi Miyazaki, the artist for the original version, also sang the 25th anniversary version of it.

Digimon Adventure aired from 1999 to 2000, and followed the adventures of seven (later eight) children who find themselves in the Digital World and gain Digimon (Digital Monsters) partners. The anime chronicles their journey to return home and then save the real world from invading hostile Digimon. As a result of the show’s success, it kicked off an entire series of Digimon. This includes the direct sequel, Adventure 02, and the more recent Ghost Game. A series of films detailing the Chosen Children after they grew up also started with tri. in 2015.

During the Digimon Con 2025 event, Bandai revealed the Godzilla edition of the Digimon Color toy that it announced back in November 2024. In total, there will be 34 Digimon to raise in this toy, including collaboration ones that are Digimon infected with G cells.

The entire device features artwork of the collaboration Digimon by Kenji Watanabe, the monster designer for the franchise. When you have to fight off kaiju, the Godzilla theme plays. As well, the G cells play an important role in how your Digimon evolves. So aside from the toy being a collector’s item for fans of both Digimon and Godzilla, it also plays somewhat differently from a usual Digimon Color.

As for the collaboration Digimon available, you can get the "G" Corrosion Modes of MetalGreymon, SkullGreyMon, Mugendramon, and WarGreymon.

The Digimon Color: Godzilla 70th Edition is available for pre-order via Bandai. Pre-orders are open until April 21, 2025, and the toy costs 7700 JPY ($51.75). As Bandai only delivers to Japan (and only lets people in Japan see its site), those outside of it can try sites like Tokullectibles. On there, the toy will come out in August 2025 and costs $146.

Bandai Namco announced the development of a new free-to-play card game app called Digimon Alysion, which is set to come to mobile devices. The announcement came during the Digimon Con 2025 livestream, and it appeared alongside a trailer showing several new characters.

The new game will include both classic cards and new cards original to Digimon Alysion, with details surrounding a closed beta test expected to appear sometime on the official website. Meanwhile, the trailer shows new characters like Kanata Hondo, who appears to be the protagonist. Futre may be a digital guide of some sorts. Valner Dragnogh who looks like she may play the role of a rival. Also shown is a new Digimon partner called Gemmon, along with the return of favorites like Gabumon, Renamon, and WarGreymon.

A new Digimon mobile card game was previously teased at the Bandai Card Games Fest earlier in March 2025. The next day, it was revealed that Bandai had filed a trademark for the Alysion name earlier that same month.

Digimon Alysion is currently in development for mobile devices, with a closed beta test planned for sometime in the future.

On March 10, 2025, Bandai filed a trademark for “Digimon Alysion.” The information became public on March 18, 2025. [Thanks, Gematsu!]

As a note, this is Bandai the toy company, not Bandai Namco the video game company. Whatever Digimon Alysion is, it’ll likely come as the form of a physical toy, rather than a video game. Bandai ed it under Class 9 (electronic apparatus), Class 16 (paper), Class 28 (toy), and Class 41 (education and entertainment). A domain name for "Digimon Alysion" was also filed on February 14, 2025. This could mean it is a new virtual pet.

Though the trademark became public information ahead of Digimon Con, it's unlikely that we'll learn any substantial information about it. The schedule that Bandai published for Digimon Con doesn’t seem to leave any room for whatever “Digimon Alysion” is. Events include the Digimon Adventure -Beyond- video to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime, a special music concert, and more details on Digimon Story: Time Stranger. There’s always the chance that this is a project it just started and we’ll have to wait a while longer before Bandai’s ready to provide details.

Digimon Con will start from noon JST. However, those in North America can catch the stream from 7:00 PM PDT/10:00 PM EDT of March 19, 2025 as well.

Bandai teased that a new Digimon Card Game mobile project is currently in development. More information on this new project will appear at Digimon Con, which will be held at 7pm PST/10pm EST on March 19, 2025.

The new project was revealed during the second day of the Bandai Card Games Fest 24-25 that was held in Japan between March 15-16, 2025. The company revealed the game with a short teaser trailer showing a Renamon picking up a smartphone. After it does, it is turned into data and transported inside the device.

The trailer appeared at the 2:48:16 mark during the Bandai Card Games livestream, during which one of the Bandai representatives and hosts said that they couldn’t offer any more information yet, but that more would be revealed at the Digimon Con YouTube livestream that will release on March 20, 2025 at 12pm JST.

At the time of writing, it is unclear what type of project it will be, as but considering the content of the teaser and the recent popularity of mobile trading card games such as the recent Pokemon TCG Pocket, there’s a chance this could be a new Digimon TCG mobile app. As a reminder, right now only an official Digimon Card Game tutorial app exists via the Google Play store and the iOS App Store.

A new Digimon Card Game project will be revealed during Digimon Con on on March 19, 2025 at 7pm PST/10pm EST.

Bandai Lifestyle will release new Chara Pita face masks featuring mobile suits from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom, characters from Naruto, and cats from mofusand. They’ll cost 660 JPY ($4.50) each. So far, they are only confirmed to appear in Japan. However, it might be possible to import them or find them at some specialty skincare stores eventually.

The Chara Pita collection of facial masks have prints on them that lets you look like a character. According to the website, it’s a way to bring you joy while you’re rejuvenating your skin. The collection will include Kira’s Mighty Strike Freedom and Athrun’s Z’Gok from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom, Naruto and Kakashi from Naruto, and a collection of kitty cat faces from mofusand. As a note, the mofusand face mask will have additional parts near your forehead to resemble cat ears.

The Mobile Suit Gundam Freedom Chara Pita face masks will come out on April 28, 2025. While the Naruto ones will also appear on that date, Don Quijote stores around the country will stock that collection of masks early. You can go find them starting on April 14, 2025, if you happen to be in Japan and around one of those stores. The same goes for the mofusand face mask design.

Bandai Lifestyle is a specific line from Bandai that focuses on items you can use in your everyday life, such as cosmetics and skincare. In April 2024, it teamed up with Nintendo to release a make-up collection line starring Princess Peach. This collection had three different items: a face mask, a lip gloss, and eyeshadow.

The Gundam, Naruto, and mofusand Chara Pita masks from Bandai Lifestyle will come out in Japan in April 2025. There's no word about a worldwide release for any of them yet.

Bandai released a new Pokemon blind box collection focusing on the Paradox Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet. It came out in Japan on February 24, 2025, and it costs 242 JPY ($1.60) per box.

There are 16 Pokemon in total to collect. Aside from a little toy, you can also receive a soda-flavored gum. The species you can get in the Paradox Pokemon blind box collection are:

• Girafarig
• Glaceon
• Great Tusk
• Iron Treads
• Mankey
• Milcery
• Ogerpon (Teal Mask)

As a note, the Sinistcha (Masterpiece Form) toy is a special one. So if you get that one, you’re extra lucky.

Not all the Pokemon are Paradox Pokemon, and the majority of them are Pokemon that debuted in Generation IX (Scarlet, Violet). It also includes classically popular Pokemon like Eevee and Milcery, as well as older Pokemon who received renewed attention from fans thanks to the introduction of new evolutions.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, or Generation IX, are the latest mainline entries in the Pokemon series. They came out in 2022 for the Nintendo Switch, and a three-part DLC story. GameFreak also announced Pokemon Legends: Z-A as part of Generation IX, but there’s not been any information on it since the Pokemon Presents in 2024. However, more information on it may appear during the stream on February 27, 2025.

Bandai opened pre-orders for a new Gundam GQuuuuuuX figure set featuring two of the title's main characters, Amate "Machu" Yuzuriha and Nyaan, on the Japanese Bandai website. The figure is officially known as "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Portraits - Machu & Nyaan Set," and it will be available in September 2025 at 8,800 yen (~$58). [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

The new figure set will depict Machu and Nyaan sitting on top of the same desk. It will have an overall height of around 12.5 cm (~4.92 inches), which is measured from the bottom of the table's base to the highest point of Nyaan's head.

Earlier in February 2025, Bandai Spirits revealed Figure-rise Standard model kits featuring Machu and Nyaan. But unlike those model kits, people do not need to assemble this figure set, which will come packaged in its full appearance already.

The Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Portraits - Machu & Nyaan Set figure will be available in Japan in September 2025. The figure set will feature characters from the new Gundam anime show that will air on Japanese television and global streaming platforms in 2025. Early parts of the show are available via the Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- movie, which has already launched in Japan and will make its way to North American theaters on February 28, 2025.

Bandai Namco opened pre-orders for a new Star Wars Tamagotchi Nano featuring Darth Vader, which comes with a silicone case shaped like the Sith Lord's iconic helmet and lets people raise the character from the series with the virtual pet. Pre-orders are currently available from Amazon at $29.99, with the release date listed as March 11, 2025.

With a black design patterned after Vader's suit controls, the actual Star Wars Tamagotchi nano virtual pet can be inserted or removed from the helmet case as desired and also comes with two LR44 batteries included. The game itself features five minigames, 12 recreations of scenes from the movies, and 10 different versions of Vader that can appear as you play. Owners will also be able to feed their Vader Tamagotchi and meet other Star Wars characters. However, as this is only a Tamagotchi nano model, there is no interactivity with others. So it can not connect to the other Star Wars Tamagotchi produced by Bandai Namco like Grogu and R2D2.

Earlier in January 2025, Bandai announced three unique original designs available from Lawson stores in Japan. Meanwhile, back in December 2024, Disney Japan began releasing anime shorts on Instagram featuring Grogu from The Mandalorian.

Bandai Gashapon machines in Japan will start carrying a series of Sanrio keychains that resemble piped cookies. They’ll appear in machines from the last week of January 2025.

There are seven different kinds of Sanrio cookies keychains to collect. You can get: Hello Kitty, Keroppi, Pompompurin, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Hangyodon. Each attempt will cost 300 JPY, or $1.95. According to the Sanrio website, they’re on the larger side for keychains, so they might be more suitable to hang from your bags rather than from something you’d put inside a bag.

These piped cookies Sanrio keychains have patterns that make it look like the baker created the general shape of each mascot’s head. But more detailed parts like eyes and faces are made from pieces of chocolate or something instead. As a note, this is only the first line in the new Homemade Sweets collection from Bandai’s Gashapon brand. More keychains may appear in the future where the mascots resemble other kinds of simple desserts.

Sanrio often releases gacha toys in collaboration with toy companies like Takara Tomy. In 2024, it released toys that looked like the mascots cuddling plush versions of themselves, as well as toys that made them resemble sushi. Those toys and these cookies versions from Bandai usually cost around the same.

The piped cookies Sanrio keychains will appear in Bandai Gashapon machines from late January 2025.

Bandai announced the release of 3 new original Tamagotchi toys with exclusive designs will be available from Lawson convenience stores throughout Japan. Each one costs 3,080 yen (or approximately $19.84) and they will release on March 8, 2025.

Among the three new Tamagotchi toys the Tama Popcorn design belongs to the original first generation. Meanwhile, the Stylish Logo and Mid-Century designs belong to the European and North American version of the second generation of toys.

Additionally, a new line of Tamagotchi Collectibles capsule toys will also release on the same day. Each toy costs 660 yen (~$4.25) and there are 6 toys available in the new line. They feature Mametchi and various other Tamagotchi characters while pooping. The capsule toys come in a transparent case that can be used on actual Tamagotchi toys to protect them.

As a reminder, the Bandai revealed that the Tamagotchi Angel toy would receive a worldwide re-release with the toys expected to appear in Japan on January 25, 2025.

Bandai has revealed that it will release a new batch of figures modeled after the captured monsters from Capcom's Monster Hunter series in late January 2025. The figure lineup, which is known in Japan as Hokakushi-tai, will be available via Gashapon vending machines. The new third wave will feature Rathian, Diablos, Barioth, and Rajang, as well as a secret rare entry based on an unspecified Rathian subspecies.

The company will depict the monsters that are sleeping after they have been pelted with tranquilizers and fallen into a Pitfall Trap. A Gashapon vending machine containing these figures will require people to spend 500 yen via either physical coins or cashless mobile payments before they can pull a random capsule.

Bandai had previously released the first batch, which featured Magnamalo, Zinogre, Mizutsune, and Khezu, in late December 2023. It followed up with the second batch in late August 2024, which contained Rathalos, Nargacuga, Tigrex, Gore Magala, and a Rathalos subspecies as a secret rare figure.

Capcom has been releasing various kinds of merchandise based on its Monster Hunter games. In late December 2024, the company revealed self-produced chibi plushies with eco-bags that are available as crane game prizes. Other than Bandai, Capcom also worked with many other companies like Puma and U-Treasure to produce merchandise from the same franchise.

The third wave of Monster Hunter Hokakushi-tai captured monster figures will appear at Gashapon capsule toy vending machines across Japan in the fifth week of January 2025.

Gundam Card Game will be formally available with four starter decks in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese simultaneously worldwide in July 2025. Bandai made the announcement at the Bandai Card Games Fest 24-25 in Orlando, Florida.

After making the initial announcement in October 2024 and a beta release in December 2024, Bandai will release the formal starter decks on July 12, 2025, at 1,320 yen (~$8.40) each. Each deck will come with 50 cards and sheets for the playing mat and damage counters.

Here are the details on the first four starter decks for Gundam Card Game:

1. ST01 - Heroic Beginnings: A well-balanced Blue and White deck that will pair the first Mobile Suit Gundam with The Witch From Mercury.
2. ST02 - Wings of Advance: A Green and Blue deck featuring the Gundam Wing sub-series with a Resource-based gameplay emphasis.
3. ST03 - Zeon's Rush: A Red and Green deck featuring Zeon characters and Mobile Suits throughout the Universal Century that will rely on mass deployments of light-cost units.
4. ST04 - SEED Strike: A White and Red deck focusing on the Gundam SEED sub-series with Link Units that feature Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala.

In addition, Bandai will release several accessories related to the new TCG on the same day as the starter decks' releases. The company will sell a set of 70 card sleeves at 880 yen (~$5.60), a deck case with two promo cards at 1,320 yen (~$8.40), and a set of six damage counter dice at 1,650 yen (~$10.50).

The company wrapped up the announcements by teasing the first booster pack's release on July 26, 2025. A single pack will cost 220 yen (~$1.40) and contain seven extra cards. The first booster pack, titled GD01 - Newtype Rising, will feature units and characters from Universal Century titles like Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam Unicorn.

The first starter decks and accessories for Gundam Card Game will be available on Saturday, July 12, 2025. The TCG's first booster pack "Newtype Rising" will follow suit two weeks later on July 26, 2025.
