Capcom revealed some of the new Baki the Grappler items and emotes inspired by Doppo Orochi that will be available in Street Fighter 6 as part of the latest collaboration with the anime and manga series. The new collaboration will run between August 16 and September 25, 2024.

The first item inspired by Doppo Orochi that will appear on Street Fighter 6 will be a costume inspired by Doppo’s martial arts uniform. This costume will be available for the player avatar in SF6. Additionally, two emotes inspired by the Baki the Grappler series will be available. Finally, 12 in-game stickers featuring Baki the Grappler manga s will be available.

The previous SF6 collaboration with the Baki the Grappler manga and anime series appeared in September 2023 and as part of it Capcom released character creator recipes for Baki Hanma and Kaoru Hanayama.

According to prominent leaker ryokutya2089, you’ll be able to get new stamps to use to communicate with other players. As well, you can get Doppo’s outfit, which is something you’ll be able to give to your player avatar. There will also be emotes available, such as Yuuichirou’s stance.

The last time there was a crossover between Baki the Grappler and Street Fighter 6, it was back in late 2023. That time, you were able to get avatar recipes that would make you look like Baki or Hanayama from the manga and anime series. If you combine them with what’s available in this collaboration, you’ll be able to further bring the Baki world to life. Of course, since these are only leaks and not official announcements, there’s the chance that more items will be available as well.

Baki the Grappler is a Japanese anime and manga series, with the serialization running from 1991 to 1999. There have been multiple series that follow the titular Baki character. The story follows Baki Hanma, who trains to become a powerful fighter like his father at the behest of his mother. After his father kills his mother, he travels around the world to hone his craft with other strong warriors with the eventual goal to beat his father. Due to the series’s sometimes bizarre plot points, scenes from the anime and manga have become popular Internet memes or reaction clips.

Bandai Namco announced a new competitive action game on smartphone based on the martial arts manga series Baki the Grappler, which ran from 1991 through 1999 in Weekly Shonen Champion. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

The Baki the Grappler smartphone game is described as an intense battle game with simple controls. It features a story mode as well as some real-time connectivity features. The graphics are said to be pretty good and appears to run at 60fps.

No further information, including its official title, was revealed, but we can expect to hear more in the coming days.

Baki the Grappler’s new smartphone game is in development for iPhone and Android.
