The Honkai: Star Rail Lawson campaign started on April 8, 2025. From April 14, 2025, you’ll be able to hear Pom-Pom’s voice from the ATMs when you use them. Animate is selling Honkai: Star Rail Aventurine merchandise too.

With the exception of a few stores, Lawson branches around the country will stock up on original merchandise featuring the Amphoreus characters in Honkai: Star Rail. Items include acrylic folders of the characters’ splash art and stickers of the chibi characters. Lawson will also sell Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato chocolates that feature chibi versions of characters from the IPC and the Xianzhou Alliance. You can also purchase Galbo chocolates that have Mydei, Castorice, or Tribbie on them. Buying these items in real life can net you in-game awards (30,000 Credits, three Golden Honeycakes, and three Lost Crystals), but you’ll need to claim them before May 21, 2025.

During the Honkai: Star Rail campaign, you can pre-order merchandise at Lawson store. Then, when they come out later in the year, you can go get them from your local Lawson branch. Items include canvas boards of characters’ signature Light Cones, desk mats, and stainless tumblers.

Aside from Lawson, Animate is also opening up pre-orders for Honkai: Star Rail goods. These items originally appeared in the Chinese miHoYo flagship store, and will come out in Japan in mid-May 2025. Items include the “White Night” album, the Aventurine goods set, and a tissue box that looks like Trash Cake.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. The Lawson campaign is for the second anniversary of the game, which will be on April 26, 2025.

During this time, you can take pictures at the photo spots, as well as with the Herta dolls on display.

Honkai: Star Rail will also appear at the Winter 2025 Animate Fair, which will run from February 8 to March 16, 2025. For every 2200 JPY you spend during this time on Honkai: Star Rail items, you’ll receive a postcard containing a serial code. You can then use the serial code to exchange for in-game items. The postcards use key visuals for Version 3.0, as well as new characters like Aglaea and Phainon.

Sega revealed that it has released new crossover goods featuring Hololive English Vtubers and Sonic the Hedgehog characters in South Korea and Taiwan. People living there can find the merchandise in select Animate Cafe outlets.

This collaboration features the following five pairings between Hololive English Vtubers and Sonic series characters:

1. Ninomae Ina'nis with Sonic the Hedgehog
2. Ouro Kronii with Miles "Tails" Prower
3. IRyS with Knuckles the Echidna
4. Koseki Bijou with Amy Rose
5. Shiori Novella with Shadow the Hedgehog

On a side note, the Sonic characters are specifically modeled after their appearances in the TikTok short animation series Sonic & Friends. This also marks the first time Animate sells merchandise based on this title in its Asian cafe outlets outside Japan.

Prices for the merchandise range from 7,500 won (~$5.10) for a pin badge to 25,500 won (~$17.30) for a large acrylic stand of each Vtuber in normal proportions holding the respective Sonic character plush. In addition, the cafe is selling a set of crossover cakes at 12,000 won (~$8.15) and two types of drinks themed after Kronii-Tails and Shiori-Shadow priced at 7,000 won (~$4.75) each.

In the same Japanese press release, Sega added that it has been collaborating with Hololive Vtubers to promote its games on their streams. Ninomae Ina'nis, who went on a hiatus in October 2024, has since returned and published a gameplay stream of Sonic X Shadow Generations in December 2024.

The crossover merchandise between Hololive English and Sonic & Friends is available at Animate Cafe outlets in South Korea's Busan and Hongdae, Seoul, as well as Ximen in Taipei City, Taiwan, until Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Animate has announced that it will release new playing mats featuring all characters from the first two Suikoden entries. These mats will be exclusively available by ordering the PS5 or Switch physical limited bundle editions of Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars at Animate outlets across Japan.

These exclusive mats will feature all characters from each of the two titles included in the Suikoden remaster compilation. They will not only feature the 108 Stars of Destiny, as Animate will also include villains and other key story characters on the top left corner, such as Emperor Barbarossa from the first Suikoden and Luca Blight from Suikoden II.

People interested in getting these mats must opt for the limited set that costs 14,300 yen (~$99.25). Animate will also sell regular physical copies of the remaster compilation for PS5 and Switch at 5,500 yen (~$38.20), but it will only hand out a small microfiber cloth with the key art from both games as the only bonus item.

Outlet-exclusive bonuses have been a common occurrence for Japanese game retailers. In late August 2024, Famitsu revealed multiple DX packs of Suikoden I&II HD Remaster which are available to pre-order exclusively on the ebten web store. People can choose whether to get acrylic stands featuring portraits of the 108 Stars of Destiny from either game or a set of merchandise inspired by Luca Blight.

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PCs worldwide on March 6, 2025.

To commemorate Natlan appearing in Genshin Impact, Animate will hold an event from September 14, 2024. You’ll be able to get merchandise of the new Genshin Impact characters Kinich, Mualani, and Kachina, that were introduced in Natlan, as well as enjoy some drinks at the Gratte cafe.

The Natlan Release Commemoration Animate Fair will take place in Animate stores all around Japan from September 14 to October 27, 2024. During this time, you’ll be able to get a little card of one of the above characters if you purchase Genshin Impact goods and your transaction is over 2200 JPY. There will also be a Gratte collaboration at stores with a Gratte. There aren’t any special menus outside of cookies and lattes depicting Kinich, Mualani, or Kachina.

The merchandise uses how they look in a key visual of the three characters travelling through Natlan. There are also items that use their splash art. You can get a random acrylic coaster if you order at least one item from the Gratte menu. Other pieces of merchandise (and their prices) are:

HoYoVerse has released a new animated trailer for the Genshin Impact exhibition at Animate, with Ganyu as the star of the show. The trailer is just under forty seconds long.

This is the same design that Ganyu was sporting when Animate first revealed the collaboration event in May 2024. As a reminder, the collaboration event’s name can loosely translate to “Travels Where My Heart Takes Me,” and features Ganyu looking like she’s on a summer vacation. She’s dressed in all white, with a parasol and a little carry-on suitcase. The side bag she has around her also features the red Chinese knot in her normal in-game design.

The Animate site for the Genshin Impact exhibition also details the AR stamp rally that you’ll be able to participate in until August 19, 2024. There are five points around the Ikebukuro station area that you have to go to for a QR code. Once you get all of the stamps, you can unlock a special wallpaper. You can also get merchandise for a limited time of Ganyu in her special outfit.

Animate has revealed that it will produce and sell acrylic stands and background s based on Unicorn Overlord characters and locations. The company has also opened pre-orders for the items on its Japanese web store for a limited time until July 21, 2024. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

There will be 15 different background s available. However, the number of different character stands will be a whopping 107. This is because Animate will produce separate stands for characters with promotable advanced classes.

Prices for the individual character stands will range from ¥1,760 (~$11) to ¥2,750 (~$17.25). However, Animate will also offer bundles based on the characters' factions. The company is even listing a complete set containing all 107 character stands at a whopping ¥212,740 (~$1,335). If one also wants to get all 15 background s at ¥66,000 (~$414), they will have to shell out ¥278,740 (~$1,749) in total.

Animate has launched a Kujimate lottery based on Doki Doki Literature Club in Japan. People can purchase tickets priced at 770 yen (~$4.95) apiece, and each ticket is guaranteed to reward a prize item.

The primary highlight of this lottery will be the die-cut cushions with chibi illustrations of the visual novel's four main characters—Sayori, Yuri, Monika, and Natsuki. The prize lineup will also include acrylic stands featuring the above characters with quotes in English.

Animate and Movic revealed new dining utensils inspired by the Leblanc Cafe in Persona 5 and its enhanced version Persona 5 Royal. The former has also opened pre-orders for these items on its own Animate Online Shop.

The collection will be available in three separate sets. The plate and spoon will be available in a single set at 4,950 yen (~$32.75). The coffee dripper and cup will also be purchasable in the same set at 6,600 yen (~$43.67). The specially branded Toffy electric kettle will be the only one to be offered on its own at 14,300 yen (~$94.60), although it will also come with its charging dock.

Amnibus announced that it is working with Spike Chunsoft, Animate, and the illustrator Sakusya2 to produce items featuring new artwork based on the Danganronpa series characters. The lineup will feature Makoto Naegi, Kyoko Kirigiri, Junko Enoshima, Hajime Hinata, Nagito Komaeda, Chiaki Nanami, Kaede Akamatsu, Kokichi Oma, and Shuichi Saihara.

The Danganronpa x Sakusya2 Animate Fair has launched with a pre-order campaign on the Animate Online Shop that runs until December 17, 2023. For every 1,100 yen of purchases, people will receive one of the following film roll-styled cards at random.

The actual items will be available for sale and delivery on February 23, 2024. Animate will hold a physical purchase campaign at select stores in Tokyo (Ikebukuro / Machida / Shibuya), Sapporo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Yokohama. Animate will hold a commemorative event for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean from May 23 to June 18, 2023. This is to celebrate the official ending of the anime, which is exclusive to Netflix. There will be new pieces of merchandise, as well as bonuses when you purchase Stone Ocean items.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean is the sixth animated part of the long-running JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series. It concludes the chronology that started in Phantom Blood and stars Jolyne Cujoh, who is the biological daughter of Stardust Crusaders protagonist Jotaro. Animate in Ikebukuro and Akihabara will sell original Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Monsters apparel and merchandise from May 27, 2023. These items are from the brand Arti-Mate, which is a collaboration between Arma Bianca and Animate. Monsters that the goods will feature include signature cards such as the Blue Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician Girl. However, all the Yu-Gi-Oh items feature references to Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba. Familiar motifs such as the Millennium Puzzle and Kaiba Corporation’s logo are abundant on the Yu-G-Oh clothing and merchandise. Aside from apparel, you can get items such as an Airpods case. The Yu-Gi-Oh franchise evolved beyond Duel Monsters, with the card game practically unrecognizable now compared to the early days of the anime and manga series. However, due to the persisting popularity of Duel Monsters, companies still release merchandise for it to this day. In late December 2022, for example, Bandai Spirits released a real-life Millennium Puzzle that would glow and play music after you complete it.

The Yu-Gi-Oh Arti-Mate items are available for pre-order on Animate’s website until July 23, 2023. The products will start to ship on September 23, 2023. Since Animate does not offer international shipping, that date is only for Japanese customers.

NieR Automata continues to receive new goods to promote its anime adaptation. This time around, the NieR Automata protagonists 2B, 9S, and A2 turn into cat androids in this new line of merchandise. The keychains will be available for sale on retail stores and online from April 14, 2023. Each one costs 660 JPY (roughly $5 USD). A limited quantity is now available for pre-order from the Aniplex Plus and the Animate online stores.

The new NieR Automata cat android keychains are made out of acrylic clear materials, and they feature newly drawn chibi illustrations of 2B, 9S, and A2. You can take a better look at the keychains in the gallery below.

At the time of writing, the anime adaptation of the action RPG, NieR Automata Ver1.1a, is undergoing an indefinite hiatus for the second time in 2023. The first time the anime suffered a delay was in late January 2023, due to complications derived from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, there are eight episodes available of the anime.

The new NieR Automata Nyaformed merchandise cat keychains will cost 660 JPY (~$5 USD.) The keychains will release on April 14, 2023. A limited quantity is now available for pre-order from the Aniplex Plus and the Animate online stores.
