While Lego and Nintendo didn’t officially reveal the new Animal Crossing and Super Mario sets, leaks online via Reddit and Wario64 resulted images of the apparent August 2025 sets appearing online. There are nine new Nintendo sets total, and among them are ones with Wario, Captain Toad, and Blather’s museum.

Since only images appeared, we don’t have exact prices for things. However, the photos that appeared online do show the box art and the finished sets. First, here’s the list of Super Mario Lego sets that include a mix of enemies and Mario Kart builds. There are references to Super Mario Wonder and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker too.

• 72039: Bowser’s Castle (Note: This is a Mario Kart set.)

As for the three Animal Crossing Lego sets, these all involve buildings like Blather’s museum and help build up a town. The smallest one consists of 149 pieces and the first “small” house, while the set with two houses is biggest at 814 pieces. Here’s the full list:

Not only do the characters and art style feel reminiscent of Nintendo’s own series, but the mechanics, gameplay, and even the UI look remarkably similar. It is still in early access so some key features are still missing, but it is a joy to play in co-op with friends nonetheless.

Sure, Stardew Valley is essentially a 2D pixel art take on the amazing Story of Seasons series, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t appeal to Animal Crossing lovers as well. Fishing, farming, and other key features of that Nintendo series are all present here. Plus, you get to not only get to know the villagers in town, but romance some of them as well.

Not to mention this is a truly endless game with limitless content, both officially and unofficially from the community, so you’ll never run out of stuff to do.

Whether it is a large budget experience like Animal Crossing: New Horizons or a smaller title like Moonstone Island, cozy games are the place to be. But what about the forgotten or misunderstood farming sims and cozy games? This is what we have to say about the most underrated farming sim and cozy game of all time.

Setting aside the (deserved) fan favorites like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, more people need to check out Trio of Towns and Harvestella. Trio of Towns is up there as the best in its series for me, with such a diverse landscape to explore, varying economies, and so many excellent characters.

Meanwhile, Harvestella didn’t get nearly the attention it deserved. It truly feels like Final Fantasy-meets-Story of Seasons in all the right ways. It was rough around the edges, especially on the Switch performance-wise, but the mix of story, dungeon-crawling, job classes, and farming could easily pave the way for a fantastic sequel.

Finally, my last pick for this category is a much more recent entry. Ova Magica is an indie game that impressed me upon its release earlier this year. It certainly wears its inspirations on its sleeves, but I appreciate that. The charm of farming sim-meets-Pokemon works surprisingly well. Every aspect of the title, from the farming to romance to turn-based battles are terrific. It fares much better than other similar attempts to marry these genres in the past. It is only a shame it is in early access for now. The content is a bit too light at this time. -- Cody

I wasn't immediately intrigued by Fields of Mistria, but after playing it I was really impressed by how quickly and unobtrusively it established the character of its townspeople. Japanese plush retailer San-ei will release a series of Animal Crossing plush toys that will includes Sasha, Goldie, and Stitches. The plushes will be available for sale sometime in mid-December, with San-ei not providing a specific date and just a window. Additionally, these items will be limited to Japan, and there is no mention of a global release. At least not yet.

These plushes the Animal Crossing All Stars Collection, with each of a varying different size. Goldie will be 23cm tall, or 9 inches, with Sasha clocking in at around 24cm so roughly 10 inches. Starry is the smallest of the trio at 19cm or 7 inches. A price for the plushes has yet to be revealed.

In recent news, Nintendo shared a video outlining the features that will appear in the offline version of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. While things like Leaf Tickets will be sunset for the offline release, players will still be able to obtain furniture through other means. It will release on December 3, 2024.

The Animal Crossing Sasha, Goldie, and Stitches plush dolls will release sometime in mid-December in Japan.

Build-a-Bear announced its Animal Crossing sale on plushies, dropping the price of characters by 50% off. It didn’t note how long this sale will be in effect. However, both the Isabelle and Tom Nook variants and their bundles are reduced. 

There are three options for each stuffed animal. In every case, you get either Isabelle or Tom Nook in their summer uniforms from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The most basic bundles give you the plush toy and clothes. However, you can also get them with either the five-in-one phrase chip or the opening theme music chip.

Amazon revealed sales on many of the Lego Animal Crossing sets, with 20% discounts being applied to many of the initial ones first available in the March 2024 batch. This means bigger ones involving opportunities to build houses and Nook’s Cranny are reduced.

There are four sets that feature the 20% discount. This means the largest Nook’s Cranny & Rosie’s House set that includes the store, home, and minifigs of Tom Nook and Rosie the cat is $59.95. It is normally $74.99. The second most expensive set is Isabelle’s House Visit, which features Isabelle visiting Fauna at her house. That’s $31.95 now, instead of $39.99. The Kapp’n’s Island Boat Tour is typically $29.99, but that’s $23.95 at the moment. It gives you Kapp’n and Marshall minifigs. Finally, the cheapest 20% set is Bunnie’s Outdoor Activities. It only includes a Bunnie minifig, tent, and outdoor areas, and there’s no house or vehicle. That is $15.95 instead of $19.99.

There’s one major set that isn’t part of that first batch and 20% off. That’s the Julian’s Birthday Party Animal Crossing Lego set. It features the Julian minifig, some accessories and decorations, and outdoor elements. It is normally $14.99, and it is currently $13.79.

The two newest sets aren’t a part of this overarching sale. The Town Hall set, which includes K.K. Slider, Audie, and Isabelle, is slightly reduced. It is $70.95 on Amazon right now. It normally costs $79.99. The Dodo Airlines set is still full price at $37.99 at the moment.

There is no word yet on when the Amazon sale on Lego Animal Crossing sets will end. The most recent console game in the series is Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Switch.

LEGO announced three Animal Crossing sets, with one being a new building, another involving a vehicle with trailer, and a third highlighting a notable NPC. Able Sisters Clothing Shop, Leif’s Caravan & Garden Shop, and Stargazing with Celeste will all arrive in stores on January 1, 2025.

Of the three sets, Stargazing with Celeste is the least expensive. It will cost $9.99. It lets you build an outdoor set with what looks like a replica of the crescent-moon Chair, the telescope, and a little table with a candle and cups. The minifig with that set is Celeste, and she comes with a book she can hold.

Leif’s Caravan & Garden Shop will cost $29.99. This set features his car and caravan he brings to town, as well as the stall he’ll sometimes set up outside the Town Hall. This includes a number of crops and potted plants. The minifigs in this one are Leif and Poppy the squirrel villager.

Finally, the Able Sisters Clothing Shop set costs $39.99. That involves the new store building with a clothing display in the window. It also seems to come with a small accessory stand to display outdoors and a peach tree. The minifigs included in this set are Mabel and the rabbit villager Sasha introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

There are currently eight Animal Crossing LEGO sets. The first round included Maple’s Pumpkin Garden, Bunnie’s Outdoor Activities, Nook’s Cranny and Rosie’s House, Kapp’n’s Island Boat Tour, Isabelle’s House Visit, and Julian’s Birthday Party. The second round added K.K.’s Concert at the Plaza and Fly with Dodo Airlines.

Lego and Nintendo announced on social media that two more Lego Animal Crossing sets are on the way, with Town Hall and Dodo Airlines set to appear. The teaser noted these will show up on August 1, 2024. 

The teaser video offers very few details about the two new sets. Most of it focuses on the fact that a K.K. Slider minifig will be among the new additions. The image at the end confirmed he’ll be included with the Town Hall set. K.K.’s performance items will be there, along with a vendor booth and Isabelle in her work uniform minifig. As for the Dodo Airlines set, it will have their station on the dock and Seaplane. Wilbur and Tangy minifigs are confirmed with that one as well.

At the moment, five Lego Animal Crossing sets are available, and they range from expensive houses to smaller playsets. The largest set is the $74.99 Nook’s Cranny & Rosie’s House one. The most affordable ones are the $14.99 Julian’s Birthday Party and $19.99 Bunnie’s Outdoor Activities scenes. People can also get Kapp’n’s Island Boat Tour for $29.99 and Isabelle’s House Visit for $39.99.

The Animal Crossing Lego sets are available worldwide and, well, they look like the bits and pieces you’ll see around the village in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. However, after building the Isabelle’s House Visit set, which includes Isabelle and Fauna minifigs and a small house inspired by the neighbor cottages, I can’t help but feel like this is a series in which the optimal conditions involve clearing off a whole shelf for your new “town” and buying a whole village.

So the first thing to note is that the Animal Crossing sets feature all the quality of life features you’d expect from recent Lego releases. That means when you open the box, pieces are organized into bags by the order you’ll need them. The color manual is very clear about putting things together. There will occasionally be one or two spare parts, such as extra flowers that can be attached to Isabelle’s head as a decoration. So the building experience itself is quite relaxed and approachable. Especially since this is only a 389 piece set. It isn’t too taxing.

The thing I noticed and appreciated as I started my build is how customizable it is designed to be. There’s a modular nature to the base, and it comes with vegetable garden and a space with a tree designed to be repositioned wherever someone might like. All furniture elements are created in such a way that they can be put anywhere, with circular bases for most that make them easy to lift up and attach at particular spots. Two types of window frames are provided, though I personally preferred the brown ones that matched the trim of the house instead of the blue ones that… match the balloon on the floating present? 

It really feels like a sort of set to encourage creativity. For example, multiple baked goods appear for the kitchen table and oven, so you can decide what treats appear or if the minifigs are holding them. There are lots of extra flower parts, so I applied them to the ground as extra decorations. I put the included plant in the window and took one of the top tiers of it off, rather than have it on the floor in the home. There’s a bit of nuance that I appreciated. The fact that you can hide bells in the tree’s leaves, there are moving parts like the mailbox door, and a number of “accessories” makes me feel like it’s really designed to be played with and used, instead of just some display. 

However, it could be just me, but it also makes me feel like all that customization could be the Animal Crossing Lego sets’ undoing. I am very happy with Isabelle’s House Visit. It’s great. It’s cute. I appreciate how it all looks, and it is definitely keeping the spirit of the series. But when I was done, I definitely wanted more possibilities for arrangements. Including three land parts, one of which is designed to be used as a walkway, doesn’t really feel like enough. It makes me feel like the Bunnie’s Outdoor Activities area is needed to connect in and offer more context and space, or the Nook’s Cranny and Rosie’s House to put together a small town square. 

But then, perhaps that is an indicator of the success of the Animal Crossing Lego sets in general? It is fostering a platform to build up a little town of your own in real-life. I mean, I have the instructions, and the parts used for Fauna’s house in this Isabelle’s House Visit set aren’t terribly unique or complicated. It’d be easy to pick up some piecemeal ones from a Lego store or set and cobble together additional homes following that pattern. I’m already eying up a Bunnie’s Outdoor Activities or Kapp’n’s Island Boat tour as possible secondary purchase options, as I could use the one to expand onto the forest part or the other to add a beach in front of Fauna’s house.

Lego will open up pre-orders for its Animal Crossing-themed sets from January 20, 2024 in Japan. They'll come out on March 1, 2024. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

Each Lego set will allow you to recreate your Animal Crossing house or community locales. You’ll also be able to get little Lego figures of the various characters, such as Isabelle or Julian. As well, there will be limited supply of “Maple’s Pumpkin Garden,” which will come with Maple, a watering can, a fence, a pumpkin, a tree, and a ladder. This is going to be a bonus with orders while supplies last for Lego Japan.

Maple's Pumpkin Garden will be a polybag, as it was one of the ones that Lego revealed for 2024. But we do not yet know the release window for it. It also does not say on the North American store whether or not it'll come as a bonus when you order. As a note, the January 20, 2024 pre-order date is for Lego Japan. As the release dates for both countries are the same, though, there's a high chance that the North American store will also open up pre-orders on that date.

The Animal Crossing Isabelle’s House Visit Lego set will come out on March 1, 2024. Other new Animal Crossing Lego sets that'll come out on that date include Julian's Birthday Party and Nook's Cranny and Rosie's House.

Build-a-Bear kicked off its Black Friday 2023 Bear Building sale, and various Animal Crossing plush are included. There are single and bundle options for Isabelle, Tom Nook, and K.K. Slider.

There are essentially two sorts of options during the promotion. One gives people the animal with an outfit or accessory, and the more expensive bundle includes a sound chip. So a standard Tom Nook in his summer attire would be $18 instead of $44, but one that includes the phrases sound chip would be $25.20 instead of $52.

Nintendo released a new video teasing a line of LEGO Animal Crossing toys. The teaser video involves minifigs of multiple characters, which includes NPCs and some villagers. There’s also a classic floating present from the series. However, it only notes it is on the way, and there’s no release date or details about sets.

First, here’s the initial teaser trailer. It features, from left to right, Rosie, Bunnie, Marshal, Kapp’n, Fauna, Julian, Isabelle, and Tom Nook. All of them are animated figures suggesting how the actual minifigures could look.

As a reminder, back in 2020 we saw some LEGO Animal Crossing sets appear on LEGO Ideas. It first debuted in May 2020 and involved Nook’s Cranny shop being brought to life. Later, an official interview about the set mentioned it used over 1,000 pieces. It is unclear if this could be related to the announcement.

At the moment, LEGO and Nintendo already partnered up for an array of Super Mario sets. These are interactive ones that allow the electronic Mario and other characters to interact with pieces to essentially go on adventures.

The LEGO Animal Crossing is in development. Animal Crossing New Horizons is on the Switch, while Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is on mobile devices.

Nintendo opened a second physical retail superstore in Japan. Nintendo Osaka officially opened its doors on November 11, 2022, complete with new merchandise. The place is popular enough that numbered tickets are required to even enter the premises. [Thanks, Denfaminico Gamer!]

Opened three years after the first Nintendo store, Nintendo Tokyo, Nintendo Osaka is a little closer to the company's headquarters in Kyoto. It's also near Super Nintendo World. That's the Nintendo theme park inside Universal Studios Japan. The store is located in the Daimaru Umeda department store, which is connected to the Osaka JR train station. The store itself features lots of Nintendo decor. These include a pixelated Mario sculpture and statues of characters like Link, an Inkling, and various Animal Crossing characters.

As of opening time, the Nintendo Osaka store hosts more than games and console hardware. More than a thousand different Nintendo-branded merchandise items are in its inventory. The newest stocked items are exclusive sets based on Super Mario Bros. character Yoshi, the Animal Crossing series, and Pikmin.

The sets include a Yoshi egg-themed key case, a children's dining set and silicon molding tray, Yoshi egg cushions, and an egg-decor tea set. The Animal Crossing items include loungewear themed after various villagers and gyroids, an apron and towel, a desk set with stickers, pens, and stationery, and even a kitchen set that includes a bespoke kettle, pot, teacup, cutting board, timer, and scale. The Pikmin items are desk and plant-themed to reflect the characters' size. One set includes desk accessories that make it look like Pikmin are messing with your pens and papers, and another includes vases made to look like growing Pikmin. More traditional items include a cup, gratin dish, ID badge holder, and rainwear that makes the wearer look like a giant-size Pikmin.

Animal Crossing flocked figures series 3 collection is about to debut in Japan on May 9, 2022. As usual for the collection, each one will be 550円 (~$4). They come packed in boxes with clear windows on the front, so you can see which one you’ll get. As this is based on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, characters like Beau and Judy will appear. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Here’s the full lineup of seven characters in this collection. In the top row, from left to right, are Animal Crossing staples Blathers, Celeste, Goldie, and Beau. The second row features Aurora, Apollo, and Judy. Of those, Judy is the only villager introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

There’s no confirmed worldwide release for the Animal Crossing series 3 flocked figures. However, the previous two collections did end up appearing worldwide. Retailers like Box Lunch, GameStop, and Kinokuniya carried them.

As for those previous collections, they also included a mix of villagers and major characters. For example, series 1 included Isabelle, Tom Nook, Flick, Marshal, Dom, and Lolly. Series 2 featured folks like Timmy, Tommy, CJ, K.K. Slider, and Raymond.
