It’s the last chance to get Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, the paid version of the formerly free-to-play, mobile life simulation game, at a launch discount. It is only $9.99 until 10pm PT on January 30, 2025/1pm ET on January 31, 2025. The price will go up to $19.99 on the App Store and Google Play after that.  

As a reminder, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete doesn’t work exactly like the original game, as the mobile simulation is about decorating a campground, maintaining it, and meeting the needs of any animals that show up as campers. There are also special events, and you have a camper and cabin you can decorate. The multiplayer element is now limited to cards you can swap.

While the Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete price increase is one notable date to keep in mind, there’s one other one to . You only have until 11pm PT on June 1, 2025/2am ET on June 2, 2025 to carry over save data from the original, free-to-play game to this paid one. If you buy the new app and connect a Nintendo that has save data from the previous version tied to it, you can pick up where you left off. This means all of your visitor friendship levels, collected items, and layouts will remain. If you pick up this game and start after that date, then you have to completely restart from scratch.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is available on Android and Apple iOS mobile devices. The original version of the game is no longer available.

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp will receive an offline version in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete. It will cost $9.99 until January 31, 2025, after that time it will increase to $19.99. This version will be available for Android and iOS devices.

Nintendo has outlined how consumers can transfer their data from Animal Crossing Pocket Camp to this offline version through a detailed video. This will include the amount of bells you have acquired and the level of friendship you have acquired with all of the animal campers you've interacted with. You will need to link your Pocket Camp to your Nintendo to begin this transfer.

With the inclusion of this version, certain features in the standard version of Pocket Camp will be phased out. This includes Leaf Tickets, Pocket Camp Club, and the ability to play online with friends. Instead players can earn Leaf Tokens as a way to obtain furniture and other decorative items.

Nintendo announced in August 2024 that the mobile title would go offline in November 2024. The game originally launched in 2017 and received numerous updates, which included collaboration items in partner with Sanrio.

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp was available for Android and iOS devices. The Complete version will release on December 3, 2024 and will cost $9.99 until January 31, 2025. It will increase to $19.99 after that date.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will have its most drastic change in late November 2024. Nintendo has announced that it will end its services for the free-to-play online version on November 28, 2024, at 3 PM UTC / 11 AM ET. The company added that it will release a new flat-fee offline version of the Animal Crossing title around the same time.

Nintendo originally released Pocket Camp for Android and iOS devices in late November 2017. That means the mobile game will its seventh anniversary on a rather somber note. However, existing players do not have to worry about their play data. Players will be able to transfer their data to the offline version, provided they have linked it to a Nintendo .

The paid offline version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will retain most of the app's gameplay features. However, it will not have features that require online connections and purchases, such as gifts, Market Boxes, Leaf Tickets, and visits to other players' campsites.

The original free-to-play online version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is available until November 28, 2024. Nintendo will release a single-purchase offline version of the iOS and Android mobile game to replace the former. The company will publish more details about the latter in October 2024.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has received a new 5.0 update. Nintendo shared just how extensive this update is, and a new quality of life feature that accompanies it. Through the new Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp 5.0 update, players can now invite a total of 16 villagers to their camp. Additionally, a new Diary feature has arrived. The Diary feature will allow for players to check the event schedule in-game and see when certain items will be available to purchase. Players can also add stickers to their Diary. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will soon have new items for players to obtain. In February, seasonal items will arrive, along with entirely new item sets. This includes a "Detective" inspired set, which includes new outfits. Additionally, players will be able to receive dog themed items. This includes a special skin for your caravan.

Eight completely new villagers will arrive for you to befriend in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. They have made their first appearances in Pocket Camp and will arrive in New Horizons with the 2.0 update on November 5, 2021. In total, there are four new female villagers and four new male villagers.

On the official Twitter for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, we can see the profiles of the new villagers. It shows what they look like, their birthdays, and their biography, as well as their different facial expressions. The new villagers are:

• Ione: A normal blue squirrel with a star aesthetic and a love of constellations
• Quinn: An uchi purple eagle with a cool fashion sense
• Cephalobot: A smug robotic octopus who may or may not have laser eyes
• Marlo: A cranky hamster who might be some sort of mob boss
• Sasha: A selfie-obsessed lazy rabbit villager
• Shino: A peppy deer who is talkative and friendly
• Petri: A snooty research-loving mouse who wears a lab coat
• Tiansheng: A jock monkey who never takes off his shoes

Aside from these eight new villagers, Animal Crossing: New Horizons will have some new features in the 2.0 update. During the Direct presentation earlier this month, Nintendo revealed that Brewster and The Roost will return, as well as the option to farm and cook. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be celebrating its third anniversary another new event. For a limited time, players will be able to participate in a special fishing tournament to receive unique furniture items, like a series of aquariums. The official Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Twitter disclosed more information about the event itself. Not only will players be able to receive aquariums, but they'll also have the option to grab CJ's cooler for themselves. Those familiar with Animal Crossing: New Horizons will immediately recognize this social media loving beaver. Similar to the fishing tournaments held in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players will need to catch fish to give to CJ in order to receive event items.

However, this is only the first part of the celebration. The second part of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp tournament event will include the stylish red chameleon Flick. So if you are low on Leaf Tickets, now is a good time to and reap the rewards.

Now that the Nintendo Switch game is available, people can start the process. Fortunately, it isn’t too difficult to get the Animal Crossing New Horizons Pocket Camp items. It mainly relies on linking the mobile game to the same My Nintendo you use on your console.

The official website goes through the steps to get your goodies in-game. To start acquiring your Animal Crossing New Horizons Pocket Camp items, you first need to make sure you have Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on your phone or tablet. Once you are in the game, you have to link it to the same My Nintendo as the one on your Nintendo Switch. After you do, head to My Nintendo in the mobile game’s menu. There will be a free item at the very top of this page called “Animal Crossing: New Horizons Special Order Ticket + 50 Leaf Tickets.”

At this point, you want to make sure you are ready to either take a screenshot or grab a pen and some paper. Once you redeem the “Animal Crossing: New Horizons Special Order Ticket + 50 Leaf Tickets” offer, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will show you a 16-digit code. This is an eShop code to enter on the Nintendo Switch. If you have multiple s on your system, to redeem this to the you are using to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Features like the cabin have since been added to give players more room to design with, outside of their own camper and camp.

Numerous other collaborations have happened in Pocket Camp. These include a limited time Hello Kitty collaboration and one featuring Nintendo's very own Mario.

Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed people would be able to get an Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp subscription for different bonuses. Now, it turns out there are actually two subscription options. People could get a $2.99 Happy Helper Plan, a $7.99 Cookie & Depot Plan, or both.

Each one of the two Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp subscriptions has a different focus. The Happy Helper Plan is about getting objectives knocked off of your to-do list. Should you opt in, you can set one of your campsite visitors as your Camp Caretaker. This person will follow you around as you play. This assistant will perform visitors’ campsite requests when you’re not there, then give you the rewards. They will also provide you with items for any possible event, such as Gardening Events or Fishing Tourneys. You also get 60 Leaf Tickets per month, have shortened crafting times with a Happy Helper, and get a Pocket Camp Club Journal with insights about animals and new items. This option also offers a one month free trial.

The Cookie & Depot Plan is about buying and collecting items. Each month, you get to visit the -only cookie shop and pick five Fortune Cookies. People are going to have the option to pay to play Nintendo’s mobile Animal Crossing game soon. An Animal Crossing Pocket Camp subscription is coming. Starting on November 21, 2019, people will be able to pay a monthly fee to get access to some bonus features in the game.

A few of the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp subscription features have been confirmed. People who pay will get fortune cookies, which are essentially little loot boxes that will contain a piece of clothing or furniture of varying degrees of rarity. They will also have access to warehouses, which they can use to store items they have collected. Finally, a Camp Caretaker option will be available. This feature will let someone choose their favorite character to help maintain their campsite.

This would make Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp the second Nintendo mobile game with a subscription option. Mario Kart Tour players can pay $4.99 per month to get access to extra bonuses. Gold subscribers will also be the first people who get to test out the game’s multiplayer feature.

The European and Japanese Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Twitter s have confirmed that Hello Kitty and her friends are coming to the game. Starting on July 11, 2019, the first part of a Sanrio Characters Collection event will begin. (It will end on July 22, 2019.) This will be a Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt event where you collect the small gyroids littered around the campgrounds, then use those materials to craft Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll items. There will also be Fortune Cookies with items to collect.

The Japanese Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Twitter shared images of the items people will be able to make. There will be hats, backpacks, tables, chairs, wallpaper, a signboard, and a decorative umbrella. People will also be able to make a large Hello Kitty hot air balloon for their campgrounds. 10 different kinds of t-shirts with Sanrio mascots on them will appear too. Everyone will also get a free Hello Kitty bow to wear.

Two of the Sanrio Animal Crossing villagers, who first appeared as part of the Animal Crossing: New Leaf Welcome amiibo update on amiibo cards, have been confirmed as new additions to the game. Rilla, the Hello Kitty-themed gorilla, and Chai, the elephant with a Cinnamoroll look, will both show up.

There will be three parts to this collaboration. The second half, Sanrio Characters Collection 2, will take place in late July 2019 and focus on My Melody and Pompompurin items. The third collection, which will consist of Keroppi and Little Twin Stars stuff, will show up in early August 2019.

Nintendo has issued a statement regarding the state of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and Fire Emblem Heroes in Belgium. The Belgian Gaming Commission spent quite a bit of time in 2018 investigating the legality of loot boxes in games, determining they were considered gambling and illegal. As a result of the situation, Nintendo will be shutting down both of these mobile games in that country and not release games with similar gacha elements in the country. (Thanks, Resetera!)

The Belgium Fire Emblem Heroes and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp shutdown will take place on August 27, 2019. After that date, people in the country will not be able to it from official storefronts or play it. However, Nintendo did note that people will be able to participate in gacha elements prior to the shutdown. It noted that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp's Leaf Tickets and Fire Emblem Heroes' Orbs can be used until the cut-off day.

As a reminder, Leaf Tickets and Orbs are the paid currencies in both of these Nintendo mobile games. However, it is possible to earn them in-game. Leaf Tickets could be used to purchase specific items or the loot box-like Fortune Cookies, which contain random pieces of clothing and furniture. Orbs can be used on banners to summon new heroes.

Nintendo had a solid performance in mobile revenue last year with about $348 million during the calendar year of 2018, about a 15 percent increase from 2017, according to the latest estimates from Sensory Tower.

During the fourth quarter of 2018, Nintendo’s mobile revenue reached a new record of close to $117 million in worldwide player spending across Google Play and the App Store. This was a whopping 47 percent increase from the fourth quarter of 2017, and a lot of it was thanks to its latest release Dragalia Lost which brought in about $54.2 million in the fourth quarter.

As for Fire Emblem Heroes in 2018, it ed approximately 66 percent of Nintendo’s mobile revenue. Since its launch in February 2017, the smartphone strategy game has grossed $487 million.

Dragalia Lost released at the end of Q2 2018 and it generated close to 17 percent of Nintendo’s mobile revenue of the year with an estimate of about $58.4 million worldwide. Dragalia Lost has sured $60 million, with 66 percent of that coming from Japanese players. This total comes from its availability in five territories, which is much less than Fire Emblem’s 40.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp celebrated its first anniversary in November 2018 and it closed the year with an estimate of $48.6 million in player spending. The game saw a downward trend in its anniversary month with about $4.5 million in gross revenue compared to the estimate of about $8.1 million in November 2017, about a 44 percent decrease.

Lastly, Super Mario Run saw a little over 10 million from its players last year, much less than the $31 million it generated in 2017.

In 2019 we can expect to see a shift in Nintendo’s focus with some releases including Mario Kart Tour, which is expected to launch by the end of March with in-app purchases and microtransactions.

Fire Emblem Heroes, Dragalia Lost, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and Super Mario Run are available on iOS and Android.

Now that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is celebrating its one year anniversary, Nintendo has revealed some details about what people can expect to see in the game in the near future. Most important is a new location called the cabin, which will be found between OK Motors and Breezy Hollow.

The cabin will be accessible when an Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp player is at level 15 or higher. Like the campground, you can place furniture there and invite different campers to come and hang out. It is unknown if we will be able to upgrade its size, like we can the camper.

A handful of other updates have been revealed. Currently, people can have one special animal, like K.K. Slider or Tom Nook, visit the campground at once when their piece of furniture is placed. After the update, four of these special campers can appear at a campground at once.

Here is a list of three other changes set to arrive:

• You’ll be able to display photos you take within Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on your Friend List! If you see a friend’s photo that strikes your fancy, you can give Kudos from your Friend List.
• The maximum capacity for furniture and clothing items will each be increased from 2,000 to 3,000.
• The maximum capacity for Collected Items will be increased to 50.
• You’ll be able to use Leaf Tickets to increase your Collected Items inventory to a maximum of 200.
