A new collab is coming to Among Us featuring various iconic characters from the Like a Dragon, aka Yakuza, series. The collaboration is set to start on March 26, 2025, and it will run in-game until June 24, 2025.

Innersloth teased the collaboration by sharing a picture on a social media post in which silhouettes of the crewmates doing karaoke appeared to be dressed in cosplay and singing karaoke. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (RGG Studio) would later confirm the crossover by revealing the characters present in the image on its social media .

The Like a Dragon character skins featured in the new Among Us collab include Kazuma Kiryu, Ichiban Kasuga, Tianyou Zhao, Taiga Saejima, various versions of Goro Majima including his classic design, his design from Yakuza 0, and his latest appearance as a pirate captian in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, as well as the lobster Nancy.

Furthermore, the latest showcase by RGG Studio included a music video of the famous “Bakamitai” Yakuza song performed by Kiryu Kazuma’s voice actor Takaya Kuroda with the video featuring the Among Us crossover. The music video appears on minute 1:21 of the stream, and you can check it out here:

Innersloth has added various crossover characters to Among Us in the past including ones from Hololive, Ace Attorney, Untitled Goose Game, and Undertale. Additionally, the crewmates also appeared in other games like Balatro, with the most recent one being an appearance in the Switch exclusive title Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble.

Among Us is readily available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and the Yakuza Like a Dragon crossover is on the way.

The crewmate from Among Us is now available as a DLC character in Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble. Sega made the surprise announcement alongside the crewmate’s release.

A reveal trailer showed the Among Us crewmate sealed inside a monkey ball, dashing their way through courses throughout Banana Rumble. They will mostly be featured in their armless standard look, occasionally revealing their hands for certain victory poses. Instead of the game’s usual bananas, the crewmate will collect pizza slices.

The Among Us crewmate will be part of the Version 2.10 update for Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble. They will be ed by a selection of new free content, including a new stage for the “BA-BOOM!” battle mode. Scattered Stones will be added for free along with repeated seasonal rewards and additional customization options for certain characters.

While the crewmate from Among Us is a surprise addition, it’s not the first time guest characters have made an appearance in Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble. The previous update featured Hatsune Miku and Godzilla in chibi forms, with music notes and trains replacing the bananas respectively.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is out now for the Nintendo Switch. The Among Us crewmate is also out now as part of the Version 2.10 update.

Sony announced the July 2024 PlayStation Plus game lineup, and one of the titles this time is Among Us. It appears alongside Borderlands 3 and NHL 24. All three titles are playable on the PS4 and PS5.

Among Us is typically $4.99 on the PlayStation Store. It launched back in December 2021. The multiplayer game involves trying to complete tasks before being killed if you are a crewmate, and trying to kill all of the crewmates if you are an imposter. All free updates are included in this version.

Borderlands 3 is a shooter that can be played alone or cooperatively with others. Your goal is to get goods and defeat The Children of the Vault. It normally costs $59.99 on the PlayStation Store. It first debuted back in November 2020.

Finally, NHL 24 is EA’s latest hockey game. It launched in October 2023. Offline and online modes are available. The PS4 version is normally $59.99, while the PS5 one costs $69.99.

As a reminder, the June 2024 PlayStation Plus games are available until July 1, 2024. People could pick up AEW Fight Forever, Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, and Streets of Rage 4. This month, people were also able to access EA Sports FC 24 until June 18, 2024.

The July 2024 PlayStation Plus games will become available for subscribers on July 2, 2024.

At the Nintendo Direct for Summer, 2024, developer Innersloth announced a new update for social deduction game Among Us with new Imposter and Crewmate roles. The update is set to bring the updates later today for Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

Along with the announcement during the Nintendo Direct, a trailer with animated segments also appeared on the Nintendo of America Youtube channel. The new roles include the Noisemaker Crewmate, who alerts others when they are killed, the Tracker who appears able to track a crewmate on their map, and the Phantom Imposter who can turn invisible for daring getaways.

Other announcements at the Nintendo Direct included a new Fairy Tail game covering the manga's Alvarez arc, and a Nintendo Switch port will also soon free Fantasian from its confinement to the Apple Arcade. We will also in the future eventually see an Among Us TV show that will feature people like Patton Oswald in the roles of different Crewmates.

The New Roles update for Among Us will launch later today on June 18, 2024, for Nintendo Switch and other platforms. The game itself immediately available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.

Poncle announced that there will be a Vampire Survivors Among Us DLC pack called Emergency Meeting. It will debut on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on December 18, 2023 for $2.49/€2.49/£1.99, followed by a PC and mobile one.

As suggested by the name, all of the new content will be based on Among Us. This means there will be nine playable characters based on crewmates. Songs from the game will appear. So will 15 weapons inspired by the game and its kills. This also means the new characters and old ones can visit a Polus Replica-inspired map to uncover its secrets and face its enemies.

Here’s the full trailer for the Vampire Survivors Emergency Meeting DLC. It begins with an animated segment featuring some of the various playable characters we’ve already seen in the game. While facing a boss, they are teleported to another area. This is Polus, and the crewmates then appear before them. The animation then continues with a brief clip of gameplay footage suggesting some of the crewmate playable characters could be a ghost and an imposter.

While Vampire Survivors is getting an Among Us crossover, Among Us just got an update with other games. It now has an Indie Cosmicube for people to buy with Beans. If they do, equip it, and play the game, then they can earn cosmetics based on other titles like Celeste, Undertale, and Untitled Goose Game. Things based on seven other games will appear there.

Vampire Survivors is available for the Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. The Emergency Meeting DLC will bring various Among Us items to the Xbox and PC versions of the game on December 18, 2023, with the Switch and mobile ones arriving eventually as well.

Inner Sloth announced that people can now dress as characters from games like Celeste, Undertale, and Untitled Goose Game via a new Among Us crossover Cosmicube. The Indie Cosmicube is available for 7,000 Beans until February 28, 2024. 

This Cosmicube works like others in Among Us. You play through matches and earn Beans for your performance. That can be used to buy this Cosmicube from the menu. Once you activate it, you can then work your way toward earning cosmetic items based on seven other indie games. The official summary noted this adds 6 pets, 9 visors, 12 nameplates, 18 skins, and 25 hats.

It isn’t uncommon to see a crossover in Among Us. Hololive Vtuber-inspired cosmetics appeared in the game back in 2022. That cost Stars, rather than Beans, so people needed to pay to get the items.

During the September 2023 Nintendo Direct, a new Among Us map was shown in a new teaser trailer. The new video featured a new 2D animation teasing the new map’s mushroom gimmick. New tasks to complete were also briefly shown, like peering through a telescope and roasting crewmate-shaped marshmallows. The Fungle will be released in October 2023.

Among Us is being turned into an animated TV show by CBS. The series is being led by Owen Dennis and Titmouse will be the studio handling animation duties. Innersloth, the original developers of the game, will also be overseeing the project. [Thanks, Variety!]

The premise of the Among Us TV show will follow the game. There’s a crew heading through space, and an imposter is hiding among them. No doubt there will be a lot of paranoia and baseless accusations thrown around as the cast figure out who is "sus."

Owen Dennis will be acting as executive producer on the Among Us TV show. He’s best known for the Cartoon Network series Infinity Train and previously worked as a writer on Regular Show. Titmouse, who will be handling the animation, previously worked on Star Trek: Lower Decks and The Legend of Vox Machina. The studio also worked on cutscenes for a few video games, including Hi-Fi Rush, Indivisible, and the Guitar Hero franchise.

Among Us originally released in 2018 for mobile platforms and was later ported to PC. However, it wasn’t until 2020 that Among Us exploded in popularity, largely thanks to Twitch streamers playing it during lockdown.

Among Us is available now for iOS devices, Android devices, PCs, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, and there is no currently announced date for the animated TV show adaptation.

For yet another year, the “cursed” Horse Mode will appear in Among Us for April Fools 2023. You’ll be able to gallop your way throughout the various space maps on your four strong horse legs as you either kill your crewmates or complete your tasks. Inner Sloth announced it will be available from March 31, 2023 to April 2, 2023. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The previous year, Horse Mode merely turned the characters into horses. This year, though, there will be a Horse Wrangling mode to temporarily take over Hide n Seek mode. It’s unclear what Horse Wrangling mode will be and if players will be able to play the normal Hide n Seek mode. Aside from awakening your inner equestrian, the new update will also have new cosmetics, such as hats, visors, and nameplates.

“Horse Mode” was originally a joke that Inner sloth made in 2021. However, it became a real thing in 2022 for April Fool's Day. Since Inner Sloth also ran two joke maps in a row for April Fools (“ehT dlekS” in 2020 and 2021), it may change things up next year.

Among Us is available on the PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and mobile devices. The April Fool's Day event will appear in Among Us from March 31, 2023 until April 2, 2023.

March 3rd is the day of the traditional Japanese "Hinamatsuri" celebration. Sony has commissioned special PlayStation Candy to celebrate the occasion, with a small PS5, a Street Fighter character, Among Us crew mate, and a FFXVI reference among them.

The sweet treats were made by the confectioner Ota@Chara Kashi, a workshop that specializes in confectionery renditions of various characters. The candy lineup includes characters based on crewmates from Among Us, a Moogle from the Final Fantasy series, an Elden Ring Pot Boy, and the faces of God of War's Kratos and Street Fighter's Chun-li. The line also includes a PS5 candy and a confectionery rendition of a DualSense controller.

Also known as the Doll Festival or Girls' Day, Hinamatsuri is one of Japan's seasonal Shinto festivals. March 3rd is an auspicious day of the Chinese calendar. It was initially held to celebrate the flowering period of peach trees. It also involves the display of traditional Hina dolls on a multi-tiered stand. The Hina dolls are usually gifted to young girls in childhood, or handed down as family heirlooms. Parties are held, and traditional dishes like Chirashi Sushi, strawberry daifuku, sakura mochi, and traditional sweets of a similar type to the PlayStation Candy.

The Sony-commissioned confections aren't the only character goods produced by Ota@Chara Kashi. The workshop also created sweets shaped like characters from Jujutsu Kaisen, Roboco, even a Pokemon Rowlett.

There will be a new way to play Among Us, as a Hide and Seek Mode is on the way. It came up as part of The Game Awards 2022. A trailer announcing the new mode came up during the pre-show for the event. On December 9, 2022, it will show up as a new update.

When someone picks Hide n Seek Mode, the imposter will be charged with finding and killing the crew. Meanwhile, crew can hide around the ship in an attempt to survive.

This is one of multiple updates for the game as of late. For example, the game added roles. This includes a Guardian Angel that can protect allies from the Imposter when they are a ghost and a Doctor who can see who is still alive. There have also been crossovers. For example, a Hololive one with Vtuber accessories appeared.

Cover has published a confirmation that Among Us will have new crossover content based on Hololive VTubers. The company has published an image of an Among Us crewmate with the hairstyle of Nekomata Okayu and the outfit of Shirakami Fubuki, two of the group's Japanese VTubers.

Innersloth had previously posted a cryptic image with ten silhouettes on September 14, 2022. No further clues appeared in the tweet, but the Hololive Production was noted to have left a like. The group's staff member A-chan also quoted the post as being "SUS." It was only today that Cover published an unveiled image which also directly confirmed the collaboration.

The silhouettes that Innersloth posted are also reminiscent of Hololive VTubers. For example, the bottom left shark-like character looks like the group's most famous member, Gawr Gura. The second bottom right rabbit-like character is reminiscent of Usada Pekora.

Hololive VTubers—both Japanese and international—have often played Among Us on their streams. The game made by the American studio Innersloth had also received a Japanese localization.

Among Us is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices. The official announcement for Hololive crossover content in Among Us will appear on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

For April Fools 2022, Among Us players can activate Horse Mode. This will only be available for a single day. As one may expect, Horse Mode turns the crewmate or impostor that you control into a "cursed" horse-like figure. Aside from that, everything appears to play the same.

According to the tweet from the official Among Us Twitter , the team came up with Horse Mode in 2021. However, it did not go through with it. For 2020 and 2021, the April Fools joke was "ehT dlekS." It was a reversed version of The Skeld, which is one of the maps in Among Us. The Skeld will not appear as "ehT dlekS" this year because of Horse Mode.

Aside from the different visuals of the crewmates and impostors, there is a "neigh" kill sound effect. According to the Innersloth website, the sound effect is not a real horse. One of the team’s programmers, Gary, provided the voice, and it was originally a filler sound. Because of the "cursed" body shapes, they can only wear hats and visors, which will temporarily limit what cosmetics you can put on your character.

Among Us is available on Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The Horse Mode April Fools joke will only be available on April 1, 2022.

Good Smile Company's Nendoroid line is welcoming new to the crew: Among Us crewmates. An update to Kahotan's Blog promoted the new figures based on Innersloth's popular party game. Pre-orders for the line are open. They cost $38.99/¥3,900 each.

Though the Nendoroid line is best known for "super-deformed" renditions of popular characters, the squat proportions of Among Us crewmates makes their basic designs a natural fit for the line.

The Among Us Nendoroid line includes three colors of crewmate: Red, Black, and Cyan. All stand about 100mm (about 4") tall and are sold separately.

Each crewmate figure comes with various accessories and optional parts.  The parts include a pointing hand, a piece of bone, and a sticker that turns a Crewmate into an Impostor. The figures can also be split in half, to mimic the appearance of a Crewmate's remains after they've been killed by the Impostor. The Nendoroids also come with special stands to help them stay up, as well as mounts to replicate the floating effect of the hand piece.

Among Us is available to play on PC, mobile devices, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Pre-orders are open until March 2, 2022.
