The official Dragon Ball Twitter announced a new Dragon Ball Super movie will appear in theaters in 2022. According to series creator Akira Toriyama, an unexpected character will play a major role in the movie’s story. The Dragon Ball Official Website will update whenever new information comes out. Akira Toriyama worked on the movie’s script and dialogue, and he promises that the movie will be visually exciting. The unnamed second Dragon Ball Super movie comes after 2018’s Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Like this movie, Dragon Ball Super: Broly was written by series creator Toriyama.
The news of the movie comes on May 9, which is also Son Goku Day due to how you can read the numbers 5 and 9 as “go” and “ku.” In celebration of Son Goku Day, the official website has a special page linking you to various Dragon Ball products.
There are multiple Dragon Ball-inspired video games that are readily available to play. Dragon Ball FighterZ are receiving DLC this year.
Dragon Ball Super’s second movie is currently in development and there is no release date or confirmed title as of yet. The official website will update whenever there are new details.
