Something is happening with the NieR game series 15th anniversary site, which first opened on April 19, 2025, and there is now a teaser for something related to NieR Reincarnation as of April 25, 2025. [Thanks, MintDrakeNier!]
Thisteaser appears on a new page called “Special Novel [U]ndecided Option.” Following the update on April 25, 2025, a NieR Reincarnation section appears. More importantly, at the end is a section of text that appears in English. It mentions a “recovery protocol” and directs people to the Japanese website for the mobile game. It then noted “analysis comments added to the source code” and “process forcibly halted.”

Square Enix shut down the spin-off mobile gamelike a novel. It initially followed a young girl named Fio who found herself stuck in a Cage and would go through different stories. However, there were multiple protagonists present, and additional arcs added new heroes and insights into the nature of the Cage.
There is still another update planned for [U]ndecided Option. That will appear on May 2, 2025.
NieR Reincarnation appeared on mobile devices between 2021 and 2024.
