Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link Canceled

Square Enix announced that it has officially canceled Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link. The company added that it will focus on developing Kingdom Hearts 4 to ensure that the Kingdom Hearts series still continues on.

The company originally revealed Missing-Link along with Kingdom Hearts 4 during the series’ movement system that would both GPS-based tracking and manual pad controls.

Several people were able to get early hands-on experience with Missing-Link via closed beta tests, which Square Enix held in announced a delay for the full launch of the mobile game without providing a new release window. The game’s official social media had no further posts between the above delay announcement and today’s confirmation of the game’s cancellation.

Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was originally slated to be available for iOS and Android mobile devices. This mobile game will now never see the light of day, as Square Enix is shifting its focus to develop the next mainline console entry, Kingdom Hearts 4.
