The three Hololive Production Vtubers in question will be Hololive’s Tokoyami Towa, Ichijou Ririka from the DEV_IS ReGLOSS group, and Holostars’ Yukoku Roberu. They will be part of the 20-player roster that ranges from Vtubers to professional eSports athletes. The latter will include famous Japanese players like Itabashi Zangief, Haitani, Dogura, and Kawano.

The Sleep Fighter cup will group the participants into four teams. The tournament will have a regular team battle format, with 10 points awarded for each individual victory. However, it will add a Sleep Weighting rule based on the total sleep time of all in a team for the last four nights before the event. If a team has less than 120 hours (6 hours * 4 nights * 5 ), there will be a 5-point penalty for every hour missed.

This will not be the first time Hololive Vtubers are participating in the Sleep Fighter Cup. Robocosan and Hiodoshi Ao took part in the inaugural event held in late August 2024. However, the second iteration will have a new Yumeochi Rule that did not appear in the first one. The team that has a Sleep Weighting advantage will be able to reset a losing game as if it were just a dream.

The tournament organizers have also published a teaser trailer for the tournament on YouTube:

The Sleep Fighter II eSports Cup will take place at the Ryogoku KFC Hall in Tokyo, Japan, on Saturday, July 5, 2025. The tournament will feature Street Fighter 6, which is readily available worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and arcades.
