The 7.16 FFXIV patch is live and it adjusts a number of FFXIV PvP actions and reduces time for effects to activate.

FFXIV PvP Actions Job Changes Affect Viper, White Mage, More

The 7.16 patch is here and many of the FFXIV patch notes cover the job changes made to PvP Actions for classes, with the Viper and White Mage among the nine with the most changes. Over 50 actions now have a shorter period between action execution and effect activation, with the Monk, Samurai, and Warrior seeing the most changes.

Most of the changes involve buffs. For example, with Viper there’s an overall increase in potency for four actions. Likewise, this is the case for the White Mage. Though in the case of two actions, text also was changed or removed. The Summoner job also ended up seeing two changes, with one increasing potency and the other adding a Slipstream buff to the as well as their allies.

Here’s the full list of all the 7.16 job changes to FFXIV PvP actions:

Astrologian

Microcosmos HP recovered at the time of execution has been reduced from a cure of 5,000 potency plus 25% of compiled damage to a cure of 4,000 potency plus 20% of compiled damage.

Black Mage

Burst Potency has been increased from 12,000 to 15,000. Barrier strength has been increased from a heal potency of 12,000 to 15,000.

Dark Knight

Eventide Potency has been increased from 8,000-16,000 to 10,000-20,000.

Machinist

Full Metal Field Potency has been increased from 8,000 to 10,000. Recast time has been reduced from 32 to 30 seconds.

Ninja

Doton Reduction to damage taken has been reduced from 25% to 20%.

Scholar

Summon Seraph Recovery via healing actions granted by the effect Seraphic Illumination has been reduced from 20% to 10%.

Summoner

Mountain Buster Potency has been increased from 10,000 to 12,000.
Slipstream Additional effect that increases movement speed by 25% on allies now also applies to self.

Viper

First Generation Potency has been increased from 6,000 to 8,000.
Second Generation Potency has been increased from 6,000 to 8,000.
Third Generation Potency has been increased from 6,000 to 8,000.
Fourth Generation Potency has been increased from 6,000 to 8,000.

White Mage

Affiatus Purgation Healing over time potency of Temperance has been reduced from 6,000 to 4,000.
Glare III The text “Action changes to Glare IV when under the effect of Sacred Sight” has been added.
Glare IV Potency has been increased from 8,000 to 9,000.
Seraph Strike The text “Action changes to Glare IV upon execution” has been removed.

As for the 7.16 FFXIV PvP actions, Square Enix broke those down by jobs. In every case, it’ll make effects kick in faster. The two actions alterations that apply to every class are Purify and Recuperate.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and 7.16 is rolling out.
