The PC port of Death Stranding has been delayed due to concerns regarding COVID-19. Originally slated to release on June 2, 2020 the date has been pushed back. Death Stranding will now release for PC on July 14, 2020. The news broke via the 505 Games Japanese Twitter . The reason for the delay is because of the new work situation as a result of the ongoing pandemic. Kojima Productions staff has been working remotely since March 30, 2020 after one of their employees tested positive for COVID-19. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

In recent news, Death Stranding won a handful of awards in the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2019. The awards included Best Graphics, Best Character, Best Action Adventure Game, and Hideo Kojima won the award of Most Valuable Creator.

Death Stranding is immediately available for the PlayStation 4, and it will now come to PC on July 14, 2020 after this delay. Death Stranding is currently available to pre-order via the Steam Storefront.
