Clash swords and spears in Orochi Musou: Maou Sarin’s versus mode

Koei is giving fans of the crossover Orochi Musou series a sequel. Orochi Musou: Maou Sarin (loosely Second Coming of the Devil) is scheduled to come out on April 3^rd in Japan. Besides the requisite addition of characters Koei is adding a dramatic mode, survival mode and versus mode. The latter is the most interesting since Dynasty Warriors (at least in North America) began as a PsOne fighting game!

It appears Koei learned something from Sangoku Musou because the versus mode in Orochi Musou: Maou Sarin sounds better even though it’s only a mini game. Players get to pick three fighters (a la Orochi Musou) and settle the score on a battlefield.
