Best, Most Profitable Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Crops

While farming might not feel like a priority sometimes in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, it can become a profitable ive form of income when you have your villagers handle crops in each town for you. The difference isn’t honestly that big between certain items. However, there are a few that are better, especially as you start getting higher level crops or the golden or gigantic versions of produce in the game.

How do I get seeds for crops in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma?

Honestly, I think the best approach is to explore each region outside of the seasonal villages and the sky islands. There will often be small plots that feature four types of a crop tied to that area. Harvesting them gets you both a seed for that vegetable or berry and the item itself. It’s a fantastic way to get started. Since all harvested items on your own plots in town do the same, you can constantly be replenishing and never need to buy seeds.

Also, take on every Bulletin Board quest or character request that you can. Some of these will give you more seeds as rewards. You don’t need to spend money to make money in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

Of course, some stores owned by major NPCs and shops you build will also sell seeds when manned. But I never paid for seeds in this game, and you shouldn’t either.

What are the best and most profitable crops in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

This entry is a bit more freeform when it comes to growing crops. They’ll do their best in a particular village, most often, due to the climate. But unless a bag of seeds in the management screen specifically says it isn’t suitable for an area, you can probably plant it there. Still, here are my recommendations when it comes to planting crops and getting the best yields out of them in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

Here’s a list of prices for produce I compiled. Keep in mind my villages were each level 5-7 when I made this list, and I’m unsure if that affects selling prices. In some cases, I didn’t actually have level 1 versions of turnips or eggplants, so I went with the level 2 prices for this data. Also, in the case of apples, grapes, mandarin oranges, and chestnuts, each one always earns 58G and, since a tree takes up four spots, will never perform as well as four plots of farmland.

Spring Village: Strawberry. No contest. It blows other spring season crops out of the water.

  • Strawberry – 53G at level 1.
  • Cabbage – 38G at level 1.
  • Potato – 38G at level 1.
  • Onion – 35G at level 1.
  • Turnip – 33G at level 2.

Summer Village: After pink melons are unlocked, it’s the most profitable out of all crops in any region.

  • Pink Melon – 71G at level 1.
  • Pineapple – 59G at level 1.
  • Corn – 40G at level 1.
  • Green Pepper – 29G at level 1.
  • Tomato – 24G at level 1.
  • Cucumber – 23G at level 1.

Autumn Village: You should be only growing rice, really, with both rice and sticky rice being good moneymakers.

  • Sticky Rice – 66G at level 1.
  • Rice – 63G at level 1.
  • Sweet Potato – 38G at level 1.
  • Pumpkin – 35G at level 1.
  • Eggplant – 29G at level 2.

Winter Village: None of the winter crops are all that fantastic, especially compared to other seasons, but carrots are your best bet.

  • Carrot – 40G at level 1.
  • Napa Cabbage – 38G at level 1.
  • Radish – 38G at level 1.
  • Pink Turnip – 33G at level 1.
  • Spinach – 33G at level 1.
  • Leek – 23G at level 1.
