Bayonetta 3 finally showed up with a new trailer during the September 2021 Nintendo Direct. The video offered a peek at how Bayonetta will look in the new game. It also offered a better idea of what people can expect from the action game. In addition, the Bayonetta 3 release date will fall in 2022.

This trailer marks the first time we’ve really seen Bayonetta 3. It first came up during The Game Awards 2017. At the time, a wasn’t canceled. Ahead of the September 2021 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo’s official Japanese website updated and showed a 2022 release window for the game. Pre-orders also opened at Best Buy.
The announcement and reveal came following the seventh anniversary of Bayonetta 2. It appeared on the Wii U back on September 20, 2014. Masahiro Sakurai, the Super Smash Bros Ultimate director, even shared a screenshot to mark the occasion.

Bayonetta 3 is in development and will appear on the Nintendo Switch in 2022.
