After Afrika dive into the ocean with Aquanaut’s Holiday

The PS3 project known as Aqua at Tokyo Game Show is actually a remake of Aquanaut’s Holiday. We mentioned this as a rumor last week and while it is still unannounced Aquanaut’s Holiday is likely to come out for the PlayStation 3 on September 25 in Japan. Artdink is acting as the developer for their underwater adventure series (again) which throws players into a 720p resolution ocean. Your job is to record marine animal data.

Aquanaut’s Holiday sounds like Afrika, but wet. It’s interesting that Sony Computer Entertainment Japan might be spacing the release of Aquanaut’s Holiday a month after Afrika comes out. If the release date holds, it’s a marketing move. Sony can easily market both games with a slogan like “Vacation with the PS3! Real life adventures!” or something like that.
