See Ling Xiaoyu Fight Nina Williams and King in Tekken 8

Another familiar face is ing the latest Tekken game. Bandai Namco’s newest character trailer for Tekken 8 reintroduces Ling Xiaoyu. It mainly has her fight Nina Williams in the first half. However, for the second half she uses her martial arts against King.

Xiaoyu is a Tekken staple. She and her pet Panda, who is also a playable character in most entries, both debuted in Tekken 3. In addition to being a recurring fighter in the mainline games, she’s also appeared in many spin-offs like Street Fighter x Tekken, Tekken Card Challenge, and Tekken Tag Tournament.

Here is the Ling Xiaoyu Tekken 8 trailer. It refers to her as the “Dancing Phoenix.” We get to see more of her special moves when she’s up against King.

As trailers are appearing at a steady clip, we could see another character or two revealed within a week.

Tekken 8 is still in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. There’s no release date yet. There will be a closed alpha test for Tekken 8 at Evo Japan 2023 between March 31, 2023 and April 2, 2023.
