Toukiden’s cute fox mascot, Tenko, previously helped out by going out on treasure hunts to retrieve materials that can be used to make gear or sold for money. This week’s issue of Famitsu reveals that she also learned a few new tricks for Toukiden Extreme.
According to the update, the “Newborn Tenko” system allows you to equip her with a Mitama. The equipped Mitama will gain experience, as well.
If a player goes to the same area where Tenko was dispatched, she’ll also appear to show some for her master.
Additionally, you can give Tenko treats to change her “mood,” body color, and her cry. Depending on her mood, the amount of materials she can bring back will vary. There are also special effects that go with the type of attire that is being worn.
Toukiden Extreme is slated for release in Japan on August 28, 2014 for PlayStation Vita and PSP.
