In a new video celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Steins;Gate series, MAGES revealed that the visual novel sci-fi game series will continue in the future and teased a new Steins;Gate project.
The anniversary video is a bit over 3 minutes long and it showcases all of the video game titles in the Steins;Gate series, starting with the original visual novel released in 2009, and continuing with the romantic comedy spin-off Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace, the short story collection Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram, the 2015 sequel Steins;Gate 0, and the 2018 fully animated remake of the original, Steins;Gate Elite.
At the end of the video, an English message appears thanking players and fans for their patronage and over the last 15 years, ending with the sentence “Steins;Gate will continue.” After the message, the Japanese voice of Okabe Rintarou’s voice can be heard saying “El Psy Congroo” shortly before a mobile ringtone plays over a black screen. The video then ends after the teaser.
